I had tried growing on my deck for a couple of years. Have 20 plants started and growing only to find that 16 or so we’re male plants. I did get a harvest but it was pretty poor. During the COVID lockdown, I said screw it and started buying stuff needed to grow indoors. I bought a couple of 2 foot by 4 foot by 5 feet tall tents. For my first crop, I only used fluorescent grow lights, 2 fixtures with 2 bulbs each.
I had bought all the needed stuff to make my own soil. I used 2 gallon grow bags. The biggest change was from a seed jar to buying some auto flower seeds. Not knowing or understanding lights, I had them on an18 hour on, 6 hour off cycle.
sonce this was my first, I decided to water every 2 days with no extra fertilizer during the grow. I’m sure there are people shaking their heads right now but my thought was to find what works best. I did photograph the plants every 2 days along with anything visual that I saw
When we reached 8 weeks and buds were starting to form, I moved the plants to the second tent and put them under red lights on a 12 on 12 off cycle.
the plants had gotten far too much white light so they grew tall.
The yield was very small ( but killer, can I say that ? ) and I ended up with the start of my hash stash. Lots of leaves.
So this was my first attempt. I learned a lot. By the time you see the red lights, there is another new crop Started. I only do 2 plants at a time
