Man BF love those leaves they look healthy. I was gonna ask if you ran a dorm grow and if it would be wise to suppliment a hps or such?

Hey illi thanks! A couple recently burned a little from some of the bug spray but they will come back.
I do run dorm grow in my tent. I have 2 450 panels and 3 red ufo. Although dorm grow is marketed as a grow light and these things can produce!! I do not recommend dorm grow and cannot call them a grow light. These lights cannot stand up to growing conditions. How can you say it's a grow light but it needs to be below 85℉-90℉ in the grow also humidity causes problems. 90 is not ideal but it happens and 85℉ is recommended temp for led growwing. I've had two or three burn out. Yes They replaced them very quick but I'm sorry these panels should not burn out so many times back to back. Also one panel had melted leds. My red ufo never burned out though and my buds wouldn't be the same without the red lighting
Go cob and don't look back. You need a lot of dorm grow light anyways. I'm running 800 watts at the wall not counting what they say ie 450 watt panel runs about ~200 wall watts.
With just under 800 watts I grow over a pound in my gsc xtrm thread. I fell into my scrog and crushed some good buds so I'll never know the exact total but even with that I had over a pound.

I want a cob so bad maybe santa cannibus will be nice to me this year. Ive got a fella wholl either help me build it or build it for a few plus parts. Either way i just have to get the motions down then the actual motion will follow. One day at a time so says napolion says. But ive been running two mars, a dorm, and a knock off that hasnt burnt out in 4 years under various conditions. All good though. :cheers:
My perfect sun is rocking so ill hold off for awhile but a cob is on my must have list.

That's awesome you have someone to put it together. That part has me a little nervous. I'm looking at prebuilt timber or ledrf new cob but who knows what ill end up with. I'm waiting for Tomula to get his parts and build his cob. I'm sure it will be detailed knowing T, I'll probably base a diy around that. I do like the red ufo for flower. It makes a big difference. I couldn't flower under just the panels, the red ufo makes a huge difference in bud size and I think quality. I think hps would do about the same help as there us supposed to be a lot of red.
I don't have the funds either the dorm grow will tie me over until then. As long as I get a setup before the warranty runs out. It puts out great cannabis so it's more than fine for now.

A diy would be the way to go if you have the tools but there are some really good commercial cobs around too

Yeah... And I guess if you buy the tools anyways you can make as Many cob lights as you like. Maybe even sell some?!
Thats a good possibility id say, people all over the site are asking for lights.

Oh shit! That could be a good side thing! Buy in bulk and build in a garage. Lol. If I had a garage. It would make the tools worth it for sure.

Alright! Finally found the perfect jug for making tea so once I get that in I'll post a step by step for making a vortex brewer. Came up with a great idea for a stand just have to think about a cover.
Ill be watching, im planning a dewey sog for standard seeds so i can run maybe 10 small plants at a time. Ill look for phenos and clone then make fem seeds. May get it going towards the end of summer.

That would be really sick! I am looking forward to that! I may have something up sooner then later. Something is in the works but not finalized. If it pans out I'll hope to get some deweys in my box. Maybe 4 and I'd probably put one 2" basket every 2-3 inches. I want to have a bunch of little budsicles in one tote close but enough enough that they don't touch. I'd definitely make it a recirc set up.
Im wondering if a recirc setup would help with water temps. Im betting it would.

I think it would help keep things stable all around. Probably less ph fluctuations, fresh nutes when the pump turns on and refills the buckets and you can be away from it longer. I'd make mine in an icechest that way the heat would stay out or I could put an ice pack it Will last because the insulation.
And the ice chest would be inexpensive as well, i already have the pumps so just a matter of drilling holes and sealing some fittings in the buckets.

Here are 4 gsc xtrm, they came from my home made aero cloner that uses the Dewey mister. These will be put into a scrog.
This is living organic coco! They will be getting watered daily and I will be top dressing amendments as well as making earth worm casting and black strap molasses tea in my homemade vortex brewer.
Have to top dress amendments and tea drench. More pics to come.
Never used a hydro cloner so hope I don't run into issues with the transplant

Hey thanks wm! Welcome to the mag and welcome to my thread. I gotta be honest though. This thread will move slow for the next month month and a half. My tent is in use with my hloc girls. They started flower 4/12. This will be updated regularly once I harvest them.
