We can help you all on LED grow light, if anyone has problem on LED grow light. no matter where they order, maybe they did not order from us, we will also try our best to help them if we can.:)
Problem solved!

You made my day, Sara. I so much wanted to believe in you guys — and I see now that it is warranted. You not only have the best price and the best units, you have incredible customer service.

Making the decision to purchase a little over $1500 of lights from you was pretty much a big leap of faith. And it stretched my budget to the max. Knowing that you are here for me even after the sale means more than you can imagine.

For a company to be number one today they have to have great lights, a great price and great service. In my opinion, you just put other companies to shame.

You already know my decision, but I said here publicly that I would keep everyone informed as to how this went.

Just knowing you would've helped me is sufficient. In this case, I need more lights and I have a great place I can put this light. So I decided to keep it and order another one from you. I will probably order a custom Mars ll light for vegging. I will figure it out and let you know.

Thanks again for validating my decision to buy my lights from you folks. Your service has been spectacular from our first conversation. I look forward to a long relationship with you and TopLED.

Hi Biznatch, thanks for you putting this question here.

Our last stock lights , factory make lower draw power for some customers said they want lower heat from lights, so factory change draw power. but if you want higher draw power, I will ask our factory make higher next stock shippment, we are preparing for next month stock shipment now, as soon as you confirm with me , I will call factory to change the draw power.

Actallly, how bright LED light will be, it mainly depend on the size of chip, then it is the power. we dirve 500~650mA usually. red color voltage is 2.2~2.4V, and blue color is 3.2~3.4V. voltage is fixed, so we can only change apm to change draw power. we were suggested 700ma by Epistar, but we will drive the right amp according to the light heat. or the light will have problem easily. :) The first thing is light quality. then draw power.

Any more questions you have, please let me know, I will answer here when I read.

Have a nice day.
I have a question for the other users that have received a MarsII light. Do you have a kill-a-watt to check the actual power draw of the unit?

I receieved my order for a 100x3 (upgraded from 55x3 since they were out of stock), and an 80x5 marsII. The first thing I did was plug both lights into the killawatt to check their power draw.

100x3 = 172w (matches rating on site)
80x5 = 170w (site says it should be 195-205)

So the 80x5 is pulling less power than the 100x3. This also means the 5w LEDs are being run at only 2w if you assume 5w for each of the 120mm fans((170-10)/80)=2w. I know no LEDs are run at full power, but the 3w LEDs are being run at ~1.62w ((172-10)/100). So the 100x3 lights are running the LEDs at 54%, where my 80x5 is running the LEDs at only 40% power.

I suspect something might be wrong, but was told I should just try it on the plants. I'm new, so I have nothing to compare against.

So are there any other users that can test their marsII light to compare the results?

Thanks.

I think it's important for your lights to function as you say they do. I ordered the 240x5w and it says has a 580~600W draw. If I test it when it gets here is that what it's going to be? Because that's what I ordered.

Sara, thanks for the reply. If this light is running lower power based of a previous customers request, I would definitely prefer the to have my light running at the power suggested by Epistar. The light already runs very cool, so extra heat won't hurt if that means higher powered LEDs to penetrate better.

please PM me when you ordered the light, then I can know the draw power, thank you .

Hi Biznatch, ok, thanks for your information. I have told our factory, they told me they will change back. then I will ask them make a new draw power list to me, as soon as the new website finish, I will update all the information. thank you for all your help.

you are too happy and can not sleep well? haha:high-five:
Hi Sara, I have a package arriving tomorrow! I feel like a little kid the night before Christmas:thanks:

we can make a bit higher, but can not make very high. please email me the item you want and the power you want to draw. thank u.
So can the power be upped a bit on the reflector type units if I ask for it custom?

sara is there any way i could increase the output of my light, is there any adjustment i can do my self? my light puts out little to no heat so it would be ok if it put out a bit of heat ,without voiding my warranty of course, if my diodes could be driven say 10-20% higher that would be great!
heres some pics of what i created with my 80x5watt mars 2

Hi LED Acolyte. I just tracked your light, you will get it morning time.please refuse to sign the light, it will go back to our warehouse. and we will refund you the payment.

please check Curso's grow journal, it is the light you will get ,. the same draw power. if you like it, you can sign the product. any questions, please email me, thank you very much.
I'm disappointed that the light I've been sold is not as advertized and is apparently going back to the advertised draw next month. Has my unit actually shipped yet? Can I have a refund?

Hi BID, your lights draw power is as we advetised, and only last stock changed , I were not told untill clients told me. actually I am sad for this. as I talked with output this morning, my boss will pay for it, then he will tell me everything they changed, then I can tell clients ASAP, but not I know after my clients know.

So I guess my 240x5w will be driven at 520-530w instead of the advertised 580-600w. That's a 13% difference that translates directly to light intensity.

Can something be done to correct this?

please email me, I will help you on this ASAP. thank you LED Acolyte.

This will help any new users ordering the light, but I already recieved/opened my light to find out it is underpowered (by almost 20%). Will mine be replaced once the lights aren back to normal specifications? How soon until the next batch?

Picked up my 48x3W reflector lamp from UPS today and hung it up just as I was ready to go into my 12 hours of darkness. I don't have a KillAWatt so I can't check the draw power but so far I like the looks of the unit and it's nice and bright. I'll take some pics tomorrow for here and my grow journal. Picked up some 4 2foot long pieces of chain and some S hooks to hang it from my shelf. So far so good, can't wait to come home tomorrow after it's been on for 12 hours and see how it's performed.
