Mini hygrometer

I usually go by feel but feel after all this time to stop being cheap. So I got 5 mini hygrometer to put into my jars after drying. Well I'm still drying but when it's time to use them do I calibrate somehow or from package into jar?

The best way to know if your hygrometers are calibrated properly is to do the salt test.
Put your hygrometers in a freezer bag along with a water bottle cap filled with wet salt........the wet salt is exactly 75% humidity. Leave it for 24 hours and you'll know how to adjust.......if your meter says 73% it means you have to add 2% to whatever the reading is.

Some are able to be calibrated others are set and no way to adjust them if need be. I store mine in a jar when not in use with one of the Bovida 62 packs, then I can tell if they fairly close when I want to use them again when going into jars to cure to make sure humidity is low enough.
