New to indoor grow. Usually let the plant do its thing outside so knowledge is lacking. Question is....do I have to switch to 12 12 for pistils to show and flower?
Or do I have just a little longer until they show then switch. One is headband. Other one not sure both from seed. Started5 months ago

Outdoor it can switch before it Reach 12/12 , as i live in the north i would never be able to make IT to the END if not..

Ok I thought I was waiting for single pistils to appear from the stipules or calyx then switch. So I'm good to switch now? Thanks by the way

It will show its pistils/pollen sacks regardless, usually at around 6 weeks age give or take a couple. Under 12-12 it tends to show sex the minute it reaches maturity whereas under veg lighting it can happen a little more slowly.

It was more of a general guideline

But thanks

You could have switched over 4 months ago if you wanted. 5 months of veg will probably be huge.
You may have to Super Crop. Looks like you have a little calcium def.
Oh damn ok well thank you! I thought I was waiting for new growth at the nodes and indicating pistils but really I could of just switched to 12 and that would.of happened anyway. Sorry if that's confusing. Do people lower the light schedule slowly to 12 or just boom switch it directly. Thank you I really appreciate people like you and everyone who responds.

Once you switch to 12/12 within 1 - 2 weeks you'll have pistils coming out every where. There's people who veg 2 weeks & switch to 12/12. They are usually growing 20 plants at a time in a small area. Ends up being the same amount of weed as 3-4 plants vegged for 6 - 8 weeks in the end. Just faster because you cut out all that veg time. If I were doing perpetual grows that's what I would do continuously with clones.
