Northern Lights #5 Mid Grow

Started first time grow first day of veg 12/31 I’ve been debating on if I should journal but decided to.

Viparpectra 600w
3x3x6 tent
Planted in topsoil mix
Transplanted into 5gal ffof mix 1/11
1/15 first topping
1/20 first day training
1/29 1st neem oil treatment 2/5 second
2/3 started transitioning to flower (increased hours by 2 daily)

I have two questions the first is in 1 week I am thinking about flushing with ph water then starting to add nutrients any thought? Second is I have two small dehumidifiers in the tent but humidity stays around 45% should I invest in a larger better humidifier during flower?

:welcome:

Journals wil help you on your grow, no doubt. Add the link in your signature so others can find it when you post in other threads.

When you say "topsoil mix" what exactly is that? Does it have any nutrients already?

45% is perfect RH for flower, and acceptable for veg so I would not sweat it.

:goodluck:

Thanks Blew Hiller I used top soil added earth warm casings, moss, and perlite from germinate to veg in a red party cup then transplanted into 5 gal ffof with extra perlite added once the leaves outgrew the cup.
Ok, just checking...I see a lot of people overdo the nutrients here, especially with soil. FFOF has a lot of nutrients already, so tread lightly with the added nutrients...I am no pro there as I straight water... my soil has (most) everything the plant wants.

Week 2 of flower the rh has gone from 45% to 60 so I think I need to invest in a better larger dehumidifier. I did move one of my outside fans of 2 inside to blow the air out, and I’m going to hang the small dehumidifiers from the ceiling of the tent in an attempted to lower the rh. Here’s some pics

It's still early in flower so higher RH isn't a deal breaker, but best if we can figure out why the +15% change? You moved fans...was it 60% prior to the move? What is the RH outside the tent? How do you have the tent vented? Is there a low and high vent/flap? I have a low/high vent open which draws lower, cooler air up and through the tent out the top vent which keeps the RH constant.

It’s in the tent which does have low/high flaps that are open, but I live somewhere very hot and humid and it’s been raining and very humid outside so I think that’s what’s happening I can tell a difference in the rest of my house as well.

That being said I got super lucky today and the in laws gave me a giant dehumidifier that I set up outside the tent so I should be good.

Sorry it’s been a few weeks I’ve been sick with the flu but on a good note my girls are getting huge and are flowering beautiful. Week 3 of flower I introduced the first nutrients into the feeding this morning and they are loving it.
