OldManJJ Grows Again!

Nice harvest man, I bet that smells incredible. :welldone:

Well, we broke down both plants for their final drying stage last night. The Chocolope was awesome, nice dense nugs. The Northern Lights, not so much. It was larfy and just not great. We ended up doing a quick strip and trim on that, it's not going to be for smoking, we will turn that into edibles or hash.

Thanks @LKABudMan ! In all honesty, the Chocolope smells just like it should, I just can't say I'm a fan. The Northern Lights just smells like grass/hay to me, maybe it will improve after a dry/proper cure but I'm not counting on it.

Two more plants ready for trim! Glad my friend is coming over to help, going to need it, had to add another line to fit all the plant material in! Only 6 more plants to go, LOL.
Man, my house really stinks, no way to hide that smell from anyone that comes over :/

It's not the worst thing to smell.
Nice haul my friend. :bravo:
Enjoy your Harvest, it's why you did all that hard work. :thumb:

Update! All the plants are chopped and either in bags, the tent or the burp-o-matic 1000. RIP Chemdog, after looking closely at her, there was just too much sketchy stuff on here for me to bother saving. She looked like she had frost for days that wouldn't wipe off. Turned out that she had a pretty bad case of PM. When I scoped the trichomes she was loaded with some funky stuff. She got chopped and promptly laid to rest in the trash.

All plants save for the two Apex were washed. The Apex was just perfect and had 0 signs of PM. Some plants had 0 and some had minor signs at chop. Hopefully the bud wash takes care of anything that may have been remaining.

Here is some porn of the Apex as I was trimming. This plant was just too nice to run through the trimmer so she was 100% hand trimmed.

The last plant gets trimmed and bagged for final dry tonight!

Nice work on those buds, congrats Amigo.
Great harvest, sorry about Chemgog XXX.
Better safe than sick. :Namaste:
Have a great day my friend. :ciao:

Well, yes, I know I suck, what else is new, LOL.

This will be the final update. As you know the grow was plagued by the dreaded Powdery Mildew. It was so bad that I lost an entire plant.

The yield was on par with most of the grows with a per plant average of 5 ounces or a little over 3 LBS.

I have not given each strain a smoke test as I have stopped smoking. It may change but, for the foreseeable future, I will not be growing. The risk/reward isn't balanced enough for me to jeopardize my employment. I could only smoke at night as all it did was make me want to sleep. I found that I didn't dream much when smoking and my libido was quite diminished (not sure my wife was sad about the libido, lol).

Finally, the market in my state is nothing but a race to the bottom as far as pricing goes so it's not even worth it to go the caregiver route. Especially since having a med card steps all over certain rights that are important to me.

All reports from those that have smoked the last round are very good except for the Strawberry Lemonade, that one was a weak smoke for all.

It was a pleasure JJ. The payoff has to worth the risk and that's it! I took a 30 year sabbatical 36 years ago for work. Be well friend!
