Sp4z, Spaz: GG #4 First Time Grower

Day 34 for the girls, they just woke up a little while ago!

I can only say wow.... the smell is heavenly, the feel is so sticky. I'm in love.

Can't wait for the loupe to arrive, hopefully tomorrow, and also need to get some hygrometers soon.

Took an extra pic of the cola in the back left that's been stretching up from the start.

Everything in my environment has remained basically the same.
Day temps seem to sit right around 80
Night temps right around 72
Humidity is staying at 49-51
PH was at 6.2 in the bottom of the pots and 5.7 in the rez tonight (I'll let everything sit until tomorrow morning)

Here she is hiding back there!

8x Loupe came in, oh those closeup shots are just exquisite.

Refilled the rez, most likely for the last time until the next nute adjustement according to my schedule.

PH in the rez was adjusted down to 5.5 in the bottom the pots it was 6.2
EC was 1.7
Humidity was a little lower at 47-50 for today
temp was a little warmer at nigh at 74 and day temp was 81

I saw a couple amber trichs here and there while inspecting - definitely only a couple so they have quite a while longer to go.

Thank you for taking a look at my garden!

I think I miscounted days with one of my previous posts. I had pistils show on 9/5 so I'm counting that as day one which makes tonight day 37. Whatever, it's day # they are freaking beautiful!

Humidity seemed to drop a little further, it was hovering at 46/45, which possibly means they are transpiring a little less. I raised my dehum by 5% so that the environment stays around 50%

Temperature has remained the same.

I only wish I had the ability to have a bigger garden right now.

Day 39 of their flower, day 93 since sprout!

My wife decided to help out with some pictures tonight so these, except for the full garden shots, are hers. She obviously takes way better pictures than me so I'm definitely going to be asking her to do that in the future.

I'll be switching nutes over tomorrow to late flower and adding some more koolbloom to the mix.

Everything is reading the same

EC at 1.7
pH at 6.2 in pots at adjusted to 5.5 in the rez
Humidity at 50% +/- 1 or 2
Temps during day is 80/81 and at night its 73/74.

@FelipeBlu She's definitely the artist!

Here they are starting day 41. I'll unfortunately/fortunately be on vacation for a week leaving tomorrow but I have a family member coming over to take care of things who I've been teaching and showing what to do for the past week.

Good thing is, he only needs to fill the rez, everything else is autopilot for these autopots.

Got a new 20x loupe and the same as a few days ago the only amber I'm seeing is on the sugar leaves so far and it's a very small amount some are still even clear - these definitely have a few more weeks to go!

Raised the lights an inch so everything is still the same, they've continued to stack a little more and expand, definitely getting heavy.

temps are 80 +/- 1 during the day and 75 +/- 1 during the night
Humidity is hovering at 49/50
DLI between 40/45

Back home from vacation and I must say my cousin did a wonderful job. He was also taking care of the cat so he had to come over every day lol. He'll be getting a nice share for his troubles and efforts.

Coming back home I had to turn the heat on in the house, the temp was down to 67 at night so now it's back to about 72 at night and 79 during the day. RH is still at about 50%

Here they are on day 50! They have put on some weight, the colors are amazing the smell is just incredible, I love this light and setup. This gear is incredibly easy to run with. Some branches that were low that I didn't get into the scrog have flopped over a lot but they are still on there, I'm debating if I should cut them off for "testing" lol. I'm glad I did a scrog my first time so I can do better on the next go around now that I understand the process and goal more.

Day 52!
Temp is a little lower at 75 during the day but still no lower than 70 at night, it's getting chilly here in my area now. RH is hovering about 50% still.

I took off two little branches that had crimped and folded due to weight. TESTERS!!!

I went through and used some ties I had to support other bigger branches that I was concerned about, they still have another week or so. I can feel we're getting close.

Depending on how they look I think I'll be chopping before I leave next friday for another week. I'd rather not stretch them too far into the amber coloring because my wife and I do prefer more cerebral and heady/upper smokes. I also know they'll easily take 7+ days to dry because I'll be taking the whole plant down.

Day 54.

Ceteris Paribus, some fading has started on fan/sugar leaves.

A lot of bulking up is occurring now, I'm seeing some branches that were holding strong bending now, I'm so glad I tried scrogging for my first time, while I didn't do it 100% correctly you can only improve on what you try and experiment with.

I understand now why some people run with 2 layer scrogs.

Nice work!
Your plants look like they have really enjoyed the care you gave them.

The trichs are a good cloudy color right now. I don’t see much of any amber yet. Will you be letting them color more before you take them down?

I'll be letting them go for another ~6 days including today.

We very much prefer upper/cerebral highs rather than couchlock/body ones and we're going out of town for a week on friday. It's either let them go another 14/15 days or take them down Friday, right now I'm leaning towards taking them down friday so that my cousin doesnt have to do anything to take care of things this time other than feed our cat lol.

I should take more closeups between the different plants because on one I'm seeing far more amber in the flowers than shown in my previous picture.

I’m sure they will give you, your wife and that cuz of your all that you‘re looking for. They are beautiful plants something to be proud as you take them from seed to consumption. That is a special feeling all in itself. I‘m looking forward to see them hanging.

Oh he knows he's getting something for his troubles hahaha, he's excited.

As @FelipeBlu said I've noticed a steep dropoff in the amount of water they are taking in. I had changed water last Friday and normally they were taking about 5 gallons every other day, I think they've taken about 5gallons in the past 5 days.

Because we're leaving friday afternoon I'll actually be taking them down Thursday night so this is their last time seeing light. They'll be going to sleep tomorrow morning at 8am and I will not be turning lights on in the tent until the next beans are popped. They're 59 days into Flower tonight and on chop they'll be 61. Probably could be stretched another day or two but I'd rather chop a day or two early than a week late.

Lots of foxtails and frost! I think they’re good for a chop.
:welldone:

Thank you!

I saw the foxtails had started too - I'm glad I got to see how those look personally

I'm excited to take care of this tomorrow night, I'll be taking off all fans but leaving sugar leaves on to hopefully slow the initial dry phase but I believe it will take at least 10 days based on my readings of other peoples experiences.

Final stages.

Hang dry until next saturday at least which will be 9 days.

9.98lbs after pulling off almost all the fan leaves.

4 plants, I'm happy with that so far, we'll see how the final weight is though.

We smoked some of the testers today that I had cut last week, they were still fairly wet but they still work in the volcano perfectly. The high was fantastic but they tasted wet lol and took an extra run in the volcano to finish.
