Thawk's Multi Strain 2L Hempy SOG

Great to have you here Corey, can't wait to show you some awesome results from your products, things look like they are about to be great. Unfortunately this is only a partial update because I haven't had time to take pictures and get everything properly situated to do what I want to do yet. hopefully tomorrow I'll have time to take some pictures and get everything properly updated, I got the HPS set up today and that AC unit is also working so looks like everything is good to go. In the meantime here's some hash pictures that I took from some trim off of a real shitty plant yesterday. Sorry for the delay guys

Nice to have you here geturgro, hopefully it will be as entertaining for you as for me haha. Anyways here are those hash pics I promised. It actually came out great, the 45 ball is the closest to full melt I've had, the inside is so soft and gooey :)

Yummy.

Now as far as the grow I am letting the girls run 12 hours dark longer today and kicking them on at night so that I can run them during the cooler nighttime. As soon as the lights come on I am going to be snapping a bunch of pics and getting this update done. I have a watering to do and even though I am supposed to just do molasses I think with the new hps and Corey's nutrients, I'm gonna try and give them a nice feeding today. Something tells me they want more. Sorry there's still no full update, but tonight I will finally have a nice long time to get everything up to speed. Until then you can feast on this like I have been for the last 6 months... My one and only hash tip, to be smoked Friday :):):)

Ok guys it has taken me a while but here we go, first update of the plants in a while. The first clones that will go through in hempys were cut on Saturday and should be ready in a couple weeks. I had a couple problems with the cloner leaking for a few days, but it should be all fixed up now *knock on wood* as you can see in the pic I have 10 bubblegummer, 8 agent orange, a power kush, and a 3d in there now. I am planning on filling it up tonight.
photo-1010.jpg

The new mothers are all planted except for the bubblegummer mother, because I am banking on one of those clones to become the new mother. Other than that here are the others, their new growth has started nicely.

I took some pics of the flowering but now they won't show any way but upside down so I am going to try and get them fixed and post some better ones, but maybe you can still get the idea, here is the flowering room. I gave them a feeding on the bloom schedul at about 850 ppm last night, some were still recoovering from their thirst when I snapped the pics. I am defoliating the smaller hammerheads in the back and i am bringing in the group of plants that have been in the dark for 3 days. Should make for an exciting weekend. The last cola is one from the Power Kush.

I'll get some better pics tonight guys, enjoy.

Thanks guys, sorry that it has been a whole but there really hasn't been all that much to report. I hope everyone enjoyed their 420, I know I had a great time, I even took a pic of my glass collection for you guys, but I became numb before I could put it up haha. I will include it with the picture update later on in the day. As for the what going on in the grow.... I defoliated the Power kush and the Totem(O*iums nickname) yesterday, and hopefully they will be ready to cut in just a couple weeks. All the other girls look like they are doing very nice and are very much enjoying the new lighting. All of the new mothers are growing nicely and look very healthy, and there are now 50 cuttings sitting in my cloner, but when I checked on some of the bubblegummer cuttings I took from the flowering room last week, I saw that some were showing roots!! Very excited. Hopefully I'll be able to send in the first Hempy run within a couple weeks! Will be watering moms with the BPN tonight, but the flowering girls get only water.

Also I forgot to mention I am spraying the girls with liquid light / penetrator every few days when I remember too, they really cause the leaves to perk up nicely. Check back later for some pics of the girls and some pg-13 root porn haha

Alright guys, it seems I am having more trouble getting the pictures to face the correct way than anything else right now. Bear with me through some messed up pics me more time, next time I promise to get the iPad held the correct way. Anyways I watered the flowering room, fed the veg room, and replaced the water in the cloner this morning, everything seems to be pretty squared away right now. There are some roots starting to show on the bubblegummers and agent oranges, but as I was looking I found that the power kush clone( was the main shoot of the now mother) has way more roots than any other plant, after only 6 days.

Here are some pics of the flowering room, sorry again that they are facing the wrong way... I'll get this iPad camera figured out or I'll die trying!

Ok I have decided on some new strains to add to the room to fill out the space for mom's. The following are the strains I have picked, if anyone has any positive or negative experience with any of them, I'd love to hear it. The new ones are
Purple Buddah
Plushberry
Sharksbreath
Skywalker OG Kush
Pineapple Chunk
Purple Wreck

I will probably replace the afghan haze 33 as it was a freebie. This would make my mom list

Purple Buddah
Plushberry
Sharksbreath
Skywalker OG Kush
Pineapple Chunk
Purple Wreck
Agent Orange
The Totem
Hammerhead
Super Lemon Haze
Bubblegummer
Third Dimension

Thoughts? I also have a single Confidential Cheese I have been considering. I think im Going to save it for a rainy day....

Hey guys what's up.

Havent had a chance to do a update in awhile, I have had some problems around the house recently but everything seems to be back up to par. This is going to be a relatively busy week but I am planning on snapping some photos when the lights come back on tonight and getting this thing updated properly. Anyways this is what has been going on in the room...
The cloner has been working very nicely, I took a few cuttings out and potted them yesterday, they are going to get until tonight to sit in the veg and then all those that are meant/ready to flower will go in to 12/12. This is only going to be a couple, seeing as how I did not get them all taken at the same time, but within a week I should have roughly 40 2L ready to go. The bubblegummer clones I took have all rooted and begun revegging, but they don't really look cut out for flower right now so they are going to have veg for a bit until I feel they are healthy... I have to choose one for a mother as well. I also need to move all my moms out of 5 gallon buckets down into 1 gallon before the roots get too large for me to do comfortably... 5 gal buckets are just too big. Anyways all the rooted cuttings in the 2L got a nice little dab of BPN to welcome them to their new homes, and boy did they love it! Only about 450ppm ( my water is about 110 ppm normal) just to be safe but they all perked way up and I can see new leaf sets within a day... Impressed so far.

Moving over to the flower room it is the day to chop down the first opium, pics will be scarce however because I made some mistakes with it and it is not much to be proud of haha. It may go straigh into the hash bag, most of it anyways. As a note to everyone: BEWARE! Do not defoliate before the stretch period is finished and the budding has been in process for a couple days, or it could DRASTICALLY reduce your yield. I took all the leaves off when there were just a few pistils and almost no bud formation yet and this resulted in a stunting of the growth of the buds... I will post a couple pics later so you can see what I am talking about. Defoliation is very useful, just don't get impatient and make sure your girls are getting wider, not taller, before you start plucking.
Better news is that I should be chopping down the PK next week, it got its last feeding of BPN+LB the other day at 1200 ppm, and now will be running a 5-7 day flush, though I personally have never found it necessary to flush if you plan on taking the time to trim and cure your buds. The bubblegummers have me puzzled, I don't know if they will produce anything or if it will be good, but I'm starting to see trichomes and smell the bubblegum on them, I guess we'll find out together. All the others look to be coming along real nicely, the afghan haze 33 got its second defoliation yesterday, the first tubs of 1 Gal soil plants are starting off nicely and got their preliminary defoliation yesterday as well. It is looking like its going to be about 5 weeks before things really get going but I'll get up some pics of everything tonight. Let me know if you guys have any questions.
May the force be with you( in preparation of Skywalker :))

Yea Thawk I hear you on pullin leaves to early I did the same thing and stunted my first batch now my others are pulling together nicely wish I could put some pics up but hopefully soon, did you find out how to fix your pics yet? But still let them go the full time theyll will get bigger but not like they woulda, I pulled my leaves around day 17 oops! Im doing a leaf and no leaf defol. test to see the diff. but nice job :thumb:

I think I have, I will know for sure tonight when the lights come back on. Yea it sucks but its a mistake I won't make again, gotta learn somehow. I know what you mean, the o*ium looks alright but it is much more airy... Not nearly as dense as it would have been.

Hey guys here are some pics I snapped the other night. Bad news about the seeds, two of them look to have been squished in the mail, I hope that I will be able to get a replacement from single seed centre without too much hassle.

Almost all of the clones that didn't come out of the flowering room are ready to be transplanted, and I am getting them done today, they will be making their way into the flowering room tonight.

In the flowering room things are looking good, I will give you a better update of the flower room next time around. Last watering was today and it was water with molasses.

Hey guys, today is my last day of being constantly busy, and I will soon have all the time I need to get this journal properly going and get everything straight up in the room. I'm very excited, I'm also still overjoyed that I can pot about 30 clones for 20 bucks using the Hempy medium. Soil was nearly 110 a trip and that was far too often.

Anyways I lowered the hps some, the PK dried up a bit too fluffy for my taste, and I cannot have anything but, as Colbert said last night, the shtank. I am basically just waiting for all of the 5 gal plants to finish flowering so there will be more space. I am going to put in a second tub on wed before I make a trip out of town, almost all of them wil be hammerhead. Still no word from single seed centre, and as expected. Haven't seen anything come out of the cubes yet. I did, however, stick a heating mat under to make sure those cubes are a nice lukewarm.

Will update more later

Quick follow up,
I just ate my own words, by the time I finished this post I had gotten an email from single seed centre( it was a holiday in the UK yesterday, my bad!). So hopefully that will be taken care of shortly. Quick question though guys, when you germinate seeds do you keep them in the dark or expose them directly to light... For example... Do you cover your humidity dome or let the light straight through to the cubes.

More darkness you can get the better for your beans light on un germed beans can add to male ratio if using regular seeds and in feminized it can lead to hermies and tons of stretching also so completly under medium until it shows popping up. Hope this helps :Namaste:

That helps very much indeed, I thought I had heard that somewhere before so I have kept them covered with a very opaque towel, and they are not visible in the cubes without opening them up. Thanks for helping me clarify :thanks:

Ok guys, quick update.

I am not with my room rot now, I am on vacation for a few days. The girls have been left in good care and right before I left I saw that one of the pineapple chunks had already popped out above the surface. I am making a small purchase today from single seed centre so I can get my replacement seeds, they're new monthly freebie which includes white widow, and because I decided that Sour Diesel from Reserva Privada would go great with the other sativas in the garden. I will be back on Monday and will do my best to get the new update up that night.

Hey Thawk - thanks for the help!! What was the soil mixture you are using again for the new 2L containers?? Trying to get my grow room going and any help you can give will be greatly appreciated!! :thanks:
