Topping, yet again

So how many of your little tops do you
top ? I usually only do the center and then then again to make 4 center shoots, i then pull them down even with the rest, do you top all your tops ????

It depends entirely on how bushy you wish your plant to get, and how much quality you may be sacrificing overall to support that many buds. There are no rules and there will never be agreement on which way is better. I personally take it to about 10-12 tops total, and then I stop producing more.

I only top once, and try to get the side branches even with the tops.

I grow small autos and top once at node 3-4 which gives me 6-8 main colas and a fairly even canopy

Thank you for your reply’s. I have four plants in a 4x4 so given that space, im gonna give it some thought, and take a good look

They just bounced back from a thrip invasion, sour deisel, white widow, (2) GG4. They are going to be 6wks from seeds on the 13th of July

Looking at your space, buckets and plants, you could most likely open them up a little, a touch of defoliation, and the bud sites will grow up anyway to fill the canopy

All you are doing is opening up the middle of the canopy to let light in to budding shoots
