Thanks for dropping by Bill,

As you can see I am at it, trying to pull my head around it.
The spots look like PM but I’ve seen PM up and close and there seems to be something different here, the hyphae from the PM mycelium is not there or at least I can’t see it without a magnifying glass.

What do you think about the marks?

What I have been applying is all preventive so I am not sure of this is a reaction to it. I’m aware that PM is there also seems only to affect budding plants rather than all plants.
I am waiting for my latest foliar spray to be ready, willow leaf (anaerobic fermented) in hopes of triggering a Salicylic acid effect on the plants, it is natural hormone found in plants and it has many functions one to be antiseptic and anti fungal.

I’ll make sure to to choose a nice photo for the request.

:passitleft:
Hopefully it works, when will it be ready?
No hyphae not pm in the traditional sense.
Definitely a pm related issue.
I'm sure there are a 100 different types.
I'd get that spray going asap.
In the meantime do you have mouth wash?
Sounds funny but a bit of mouthwash in a sprayer with water and some safers works great.
Also baking soda is a more natural solution.
Table spoon full in a gallon of water, with safers soap aswell.
Let me know how it's going.
Take care my friend.

Oh Man - I sure don't envy that procedure!!!

Hey Shoes!! My Fern Elixer is about 12 days old now and I'm wondering if 1 teaspoon per gal of water sounds about right?? Do you think it kept the PM at bay?? And how often did you spray??
Hey greenJ,

The fern brew I have used at about 100ml per 6gal jerrycan I use it to water the roots, I haven’t foliar with only fern . Now the horsetail one I use to foliar spray in the mix I put one table spoon neem and 2 table spoons of horsetail anaerobic liquid, my foliar sprayer has only 1 lt, I add water to top up.

Im thinking somewhere down the line horsetail+neem foliar application has blocked the PM from spreading. Now I’m not entirely sure since as you can see I have some peculiar blueish/gray marks on my plants that started showing around 2 weeks now. Not all my plants have the marks but the ones that are budding. It doesn’t look like the PM I see everywhere like the marks/stains look different like a soap mark (I don’t use soap for foliar).

It’s an ongoing experiment I would have to go see how it went after last weeks foliar spray.

Roger that

Everything I’ve done so far was preventive, I will have to move to corrective solution.
Will be trying out what you have suggested Bill, the faster I get the PM dead the faster I can chill.
:Rasta:

That's why I waited until June 1 to start this year!!! So far I think I got it OK - they still fit in my laundry tubs and I can fairly easily move them into the greenhouse at night. I'm also hoping they don't seem so tired and old around the middle of October - that's the plan - until I screw up some other way!!! :thedoubletake: :nervous-guy:
I put 2 more outside in 30 gal. fabrics first week of June. Not as much light so they grew to 8 feet. Over-sretched. The first 5 feet are useless.

The Clones
What a nice day to visit, it’s been bugging me since last update, stains PM is it or is it not? Tracing back to the last update on the clones One leaf had a stain/mark, to my surprise not there. Either washed off or eaten by the endogenous insects. I haven’t taken any leaves that aren’t either completely dead or passed yellow and necrotic. As you can see no signs of marks, stains, pm or anything alarming. I think they are doing just great, most of the lanky personal Sativa clones are starting to really show the flowering structure not much development on the pistils… for the Xenomoprh clones, they are doing great. Nothing to over think with these ones.

On to watering and foliar; last week I mix all my root teas (seaweed, fern, horsetail) so today I just filled up my jerry can 50/50 half this tea half water 6gal jerrycan.
And for foliar I used 100ml of willow brew (since Friday in the jar, burped twice before use), and 100ml of the common plantain with PM brew I have now for more than a week, one spoon of neem and water to top up my 1l sprayer.

Let’s see them again on Friday.

Thanks 🙏🏻 Bill

I sprayed that little sucker with all the microbes I hope it’s a germaphobe so it gets the heck out of there… lol

Clones are standing their ground solid, the ones on the ground have it better, for sure the ones on the pots are root bound. Looking at every single detail on them because despite being all clones same gens some are taking a different phenotype structure.

Have a good day Bill

For all curious minds out there, I have another little side experiment going. There is a tree with massive amounts of PM from months ago, yesterday I started spraying heavy non diluted solutions; yesterday I sprayed willow leaf extract, I want to see what this does…

That’s the one leaf I will be targeting, it’s part of a 1by1 space I am spraying. That photo is with no spray, raw pure PM.

I'm... blown away. This is such an info hevay thread that I cheated and skimmed through a lot at the current time but bookmarking for future visits. Really remarkable stuff through the whole thing Danis! Im honored you came and checked my thread out and really had to follow up on your grows. I look forward to crawling through them all over time.

Also a total fungaphile here... mycelial consciousness is a way of life.

I'm more in favor of this experiment than your last one of purposely spraying one of your girls with the pm. That one I had to watch with one eye closed, but I'll be able to keep them both wide

Thanks for the kind words and I’m glad you find some of the information here useful. It’s a bunch of stuff from high stress training to natural fertilizer and I’m probably not the most orthodox organic grower here but some of the things I’m doing work like a charm, others not so much lol 😂

JADAM and NKF methods and techniques also precious information @Azimuth has a very on the spot guide on how to do this.

Like I said before I like outdoor grows a lot and because they can be unpredictable one has to be prepared and open minded in coming up with solutions. Building soil is key, having a preventive and corrective pest management plan also helps cause let’s face it outdoors = pests- in my opinion the spectrum of cannabinoids outdoors is incredible and makes all the hard work of growing outside worth it.

yeah no no this tree is at the back of my residence lol I would probably lose my mind if there was this amount of PM next the the cannabis.

I’m just spraying different stuff to see what it does. I have lots of PM to experiment with as you can see. 😂

:peace:

The Jadam foliars usually have a 'wetting agent' used in conjunction like aloe, yucca, or a true soap to help wet the leaves and get even coverage. Many leaves have a waxy coating that causes the foliar to just run off, but the wetting agent helps it stick.

Been trying something recently, have you heard of Xanthan gum ?
I have lots around since is used widely in cooking to bind molecules.

Back with some more on that side experiment regarding PM;
One photo how it was before applying at all
19740E5C-9005-41CA-9CF3-6701D1E22E8B.jpeg

Today I tried a different mix, non diluted willow liquid with a tea spoon of eggshell vinegar I’ve had for months.
The leaf started to fizz at certain points, I found that interesting.
I think the PM is losing the battle but still need to be clear evidence.
Today’s spray;
