Environment: Indoor
Stage: Preflower
Medium: Water
Lights: 600 Watt MH/HPS
Nutrients: GH
Room/Tent Temperature: 70
Relative Humidity: 65%
Media/Res PH: 5.4-6.4 depending on the day. Starts low at water change
Pests: None
Watering: Once weekly

Not sure of the age.
Auto flower with the preflowers out for about one week.
Roots have a tinge to them, but they are gong to do what they will.
Light type changing in about 5 days to HPS.
Feeding Flora Trio and using silica blast.
Koolbloom starts next feeding.
Hoping for 3-4 ounces dry to enjoy over the summer/fall.

The grows in the links look great!!
This is my first DWC grow since 2019. ( first grow since actually )
I switched to DWC around 2015 and had 6 or 7 nice harvests.
Ended up with some auto flower seeds that were actually photos.
Good auto seeds were not easy for me to get back then.
Always had to wait for a seed drop then if you were lucky you could get some.
I missed a seed drop and ordered from a Shady seed dealer.
Long story short I never flipped the switch on to 12/12 and ended up with a huge mess.
With Cannabis being legal in Canada and some decent suppliers to choose from I just gave up.

Quick update on this grow.
I'm debating on switching the light to HPS now.
This is two days since my last post.
I'd really rather wait until the next water change on Saturday but that is 3 days out.
It will most likely be fine either way.

Oh and for people looking for Root Issues in DWC
My roots from the last post are most likely that color from a small amount of monster cal.
Past grows from a few years back the cal/mag would tint the root color.
Don't panic.... right away lol

Switched the Light To HPS
Nutrient transition this week.
Added small started amount of Koolbloom.
Up'd the GH pink colored stuff... lol don't know the name right now.


It's a female plant on the outside but inside I'm not so sure ....
2 airstones in the bucket is want is causing this I believe.

I’m really hoping the thin leaves means it’s going to be sativa or at least sativa dominant.
I had these seeds in my fridge for about three years.
In that time I learned indica is not for me.

It's got the sativa twist.

Another week in.
Little bit of tip burn.
Watered down the mix.
That should solve it.
She’s drinking wayyy faster than I remember them drinking.
Well over a gallon every three days.
It’s not a really big plant.
I had worse grows!!

Everything still seems fine.
I should have done some more low stress training earlier.
The branches are most likely to rigid to bend now.
Due to her being an auto flower I don’t want to remove fan leaves either.
Its only personal smoke so no worries

As mentioned earlier she's showing more thin leaf than i'd seen from a Double Grape before, and i'v grown quite a few. Great strain..

I know there is some sativa in the strain. I would have ordered new seeds with a more sativa dominant plant but I had these in my fridge for years and managed to get one to pop.
In the fall ill order something different

been a bit since my last post.

Just did a water change and thought I’d talk a little bit about how I’m doing my water changes this grow.

I’m heavy on the bleach.
Past grows have led me down the bleach road.
I do my airlines, stone, buckets every week. Love it!

What I have added to this process this grow is florakleen. I read many articles about it. Misinformation is pretty rampant on the internet so like with most things I’m just testing.

On cleaning day (Saturday is my day this cycle) my water levels are pretty much as low as low gets. I fill my bucket up with straight water and florakleen and let that sit for about 2-3 hours before I drain and clean my buckets to add new nutrients.

I’ve seen my water temps hit 71f and really I’m not seeing or smelling anything funky. In the past I’ve had issues and buckets that had that fish tank smell. This time nothing. It might not be the florakleen root rinse but it’s not doing anything that is hurting the root system.

I’ve seen articles about it only to be used for flushing at the end.

Temps are staying around 67
Really haven’t watched ph levels.
Probably lose out on some weight but meh lol

I’m happy with it right now.
Not sure how much longer but easily 3 more weeks.
