Virgin Grow - Soil LED Autos - Grow Journal 2016

6 more? I am thinking about adding a couple to my rack...maybe the Osram on their own dimmer...

snug is nice...

Yep 6 more for now, will be adding more down line for sure. Doing some research on controllers so I can simulate sunrise/sunset/cloudy days. It should save me a bit of electricity too.

Everything is going great in the garden, once you get the hamg of mixing nutes and PHing it takes no time at all.
I upgraded to a 5x5 tent which makes my life soooo much easier controlling environment. Also 10 more COBs are on the way as well as some dutch passion seeds. I'll probably start another journal for that lot.

Day 55. NL on the left and lemon haze on the right.

I'm also trying some back building on the majority of my colas on both plants. This is the NL with its trim job.

Hopefully I get some chunkier buds.

hi. May I ask how you went about getting a fan speed controller here? :skeptical: It's pretty much a no go getting one from overseas like you said.

:tokin:
I bought my fan from my local hydro shop. The fan has a built in speed controller and thermometer. Around $150 for the 6inch version.
Not sure why they don't list this kind of stuff online, but if you call them I'm sure they'll be happy to ship to you.

The citrusy smell coming off this one is amazing.

Where the NL is lacking in frost it makes up for in size

NL on the right and the haze in the middle. At the back is another NL, this time in a 3gallon pot (should be in a 5gallon) and a blueberry in stretch. I just measured an inch in vertical growth in 7hrs.

Should be close to harvest, I'll probably start flushing once I see cloudy/amber trichs.

Wow! Far out that that lemon haze looks spectacular. So nice you've got a sativa for day smokes and an awesome chunky lovely Indica for the evenings. They look really good Aotearoa :yummy::bravo::surf:

Welcome twox, pleasure to have you on board. I'm slowly working my way towards your style of growing for sure.
There's a lot to learn about COBs but once you've got your head around them you can build a rig upto 20% more efficient than HPS with a great spectrum.

Day 83 Harvest day!
I've got cloudy trichs with about 5% amber showing on the NL and about the same on the lemon.

She stands at 870mm high from the coco and had a defol towards the end of flowering. She's still a bushy girl.

Look it has hollow stems!

Up next is the frosty lemon haze by DNA genetics. The stems are flopping over as they were propped up by the NL and the blueberry.

Quick trim and it's obvious most branches can't support their own weight.

I've got everything trimmed and drying. Probably snap some close ups tomorrow.

Nug shots, wish I did this in daylight but I'm impatient.

The pictures aren't doing the lemon haze any justice, it's frosty as.

Dry weight for the lemon is 107.4g (3.8oz) and 108.6 (3.8oz).

I left the popcorn buds on the NL to go another week longer. I'm glad I did as they got big. Probably another Oz I reckon. Here's a pic

There's also another tray of popcorn for the lemon which I haven't included in the dry weight.

That massive cola on the NL ended up giving me grief. I found a huge patch of mold hiding inside. Next crop I won't leave big bud sites intact.

Overall I'm quite pleased with how things turned out, heaps better than my first attempt. I would have easily beaten the gram per watt scenario too which I didn't think I'd do yet. I know I'll be able to push more out of these autos once I switch brands of nutrients and a few other changes.

Up next I've got a blueberry and another NL which should be finishing in probably a few weeks time. I've also got some Dutch passion autos coming up behind them. I'll probably start another perpetual thread in a bit.

Thanks for watching!

You must be wrapped, nice quality returns. It should only get better from here on in. Nice job letting the popcorn turn into something worthwhile. I look forward to your next effort. Cheers.

I don't use it anymore but when i did i had the end sucking air into it exposed to get fresh air. Then i cut squares on each side of the filter to let air pass and packed it with speaker cotton. It did lower sound but a controller will do the same. I prefer this set up bc its not as loud and scrubbs the entire roon

Is it better to have the filter sitting on the ground or should i hang it in the air from the top of the tent?? I would like for it to scrub the entire room not just the closet i have my tent in
