2 Liter Hempy SOG

Alright well i have a few questions, do you see any downfall to using the lucas formula with this type of grow? Also I noticed when you were using the GH nutes you werent using any additives, are they unnecessary? This one I'm sure is strain dependent but how long does it take for the trichomes to turn from cloudy to amber? On a side note you have been a huge inspiration and the bpn line is really impressing me!

Google "White poison 2 liter hempy grow" and you'll find a journal by Xare who fed his hempys Lucas formula and they finished beautifully.

You're right. I didn't use any additives. Simply the straight GH 3 part line. They aren't necessary but do help out.

With the strain I grow, they go from cloudy to amber over the course of about 2 weeks.

Thanks for the kind words about being an inspiration. I've read that in more than one thread and have even showed the kind posts to my wife. Still.......she's not sold... lol.

BPN is surpassing the expectations that I had set for them. When this grow is over and the final weight is tallied on the first 30 plants, I think I will prove that under identical grow conditions, BPN generates as much bud as GH and AN...maybe more. Please stay tuned.

Plants are looking awesome, 420fied! :welldone:

Can't wait to see them finish up!

Compliments to the wife (and you!) ! :bravo:

Thank you for the kind words my friend. You're always welcome here.

More to come later...... good growing everyone.

I just planted a freshly rooted Fire OG clone into one of my 2Ls and since I don't have the verm and perlite I just mixed 40% hydroton and 60% sunshine advanced soiless mix #4.

Put her under the 1kw light and fed her at 400ppm. I'm gonna defoliate at 3 weeks and see how she yields and how the bud forms. I need to take some more clones of my other strains soon here so I can test them too.

I think it'd be super awesome if I had 6 1kw lights in a row, with about 64 2Ls under each one. With a different strain under each light. And they'd all be about 2 weeks apart.

I hope to see something a little like this in my future:
Week 9: Harvest nearly 2 pounds of Fire OG
Week 11: Harvest nearly 2 pounds of Blue Dream
Week 13: Harvest nearly 2 pounds of Super Grape Ape
Week 15: Harvest about a pound of Space Bomb
Week 17: Harvest nearly 2 pounds of Bubba Kush
Week 18: Harvest nearly 2 pounds of Fire OG
Week 19: Harvest nearly 2 pounds of J1
Week 20: Harvest nearly 2 pounds of Blue Dream
Week 22: Harvest nearly 2 pounds of Super Grape Ape
and so on.....

if this is my future, it's all thanks to you 420fied!
:thanks:

Good day everyone,

The macro shots are getting better as the pistils are just now starting to turn and the frost is coming on.

I'm beyond pleased. You should be proud of your nutrient line Corey.

:Namaste:

Awesome SteveHman. I saw R2MNot's grow using the same thing without the flat bottom cap. Interesting that Homedepot is still nott a hydroponic store, heh.

420fied after you got the new camera your photos does justice to your plants. They're awesome and only 5 weeks in.

To plug the bottom of the PVC I used what they call "Test Caps" about 50 cents each....but you have to seal them with something. The 2 liter hempy works well but can be a lot of work. I have yet to do a full run yet.

It is amazing that plant is only 32 days old!! Very nice! :thumb:

FIED!!!!!! NICE macro shot :). And I am proud ;). Now, if only I could only get a distribution agreement with the 4 major hydroponic distributors I could move to cali, get my prop 215 card and join in the fun!!! This my favorite hobby as well!!! As they say....head west young man

I think your plan will come together!!!! Your nutes rock!! There should be no reason the major distributors wouldnt use your products. People like the prices and the results!!! I too have one foot in California!! I cannot wait to get my both feet there!! :morenutes::theband:

thats right!!! and when you get here you have to be close enough for me to get to work and back!!! first employee right here!!!

This is only halfway done!?
Definitely gonna have to give BPN a try! Right now I'm using the 1-part organic Iguana Juice + additives. I've never used a 3-part nutrient before. I am definitely open to trying new nutrients and seeing how they compare.

Keep grinding my friend. Hopefully, one day BPN will be in every growers garden. ;)

That plant is so sexy. I hope your wife is not getting jealous.

Thank you. Heck I'M the one that gets jealous..lol. She spends a lot of time in the garen too. She loves the plants.

Hello Fied,
I think in your last journal it was Xare that said you take off the side branching while he doesn't. I could be mistaken though. It almost looks like you cut them, but just not all the way. If you have a minute could you please elaborate on the side branching ? Also I wonder if you are pruning them on the same day as the fan leaves ? Thanks -FS

Sure thing my friend.

I pack my plants as close as the diameter of the 2 liter will allow and I start them on 12/12. This all but eliminates side branching so no pruning is needed. My plants finish as basically one large cola.

Here's a look at the middle of one of my plants. Notice the bud sites growing along the main stem. No branching.

The only thing that gets trimmed off of my plants are the large fan leaves.
