I did a lot of defoliating on my last grow. I was growing 2 Photo's.

I really would recommend going slow and start by doing a bit of lolipopping. Once you get a lot of the fan leaves from the bottom thinned out, start removing big fan's that are blocking bud sites. I have seen other's that have been successful and tucking. My girl's didn't seem to mind the gradual removal of the fan leaves and I yielded about 3 1/2 ounces per plant of good dense buds.

While growing I am a fond believer in "Less is More".

Balls grow in bunches like bananas. One single one like that with a hair or two sticking out of it is typical for female plants. Those look A-Ok to me.

Phew, thanks Ase! I was worried there to be quite honest with you! I started trying to throw together a new separate area to throw it in because to be honest, this girl looks nice so far - Friday and hairy, and figured it would still produce some smokeable shit!

I was hooking up my new dehumidifier and doing my nightly routine with the plants and saw these new little things and started researching on if it were removable or not if it did turn out to be a hermie. Turns out, they can be plucked with tweezers if you catch them in time or spray them with water? Anyone ever hear of these "remedies" for hermie plants at all or are they internet bullshit?

I've always just thrown a hermie out unless it just barely threw up a couple seeds up at the very end.

I have had a plant that started to herm right after stretch and I plucked all the nanners I could find (there was like 20 of them in different spots) and they never came back. So I would say that it's worth a shot at that point. That's why I tried it and was surprised it worked. In the final product there were zero seeds and never spotted a seed or nanner after that.

Well now that my worries on transgender bud machines are lower, some news.

I put in the dehumidifier last night and woke up this morning to it not running! I checked the panel on it to make sure the settings were correct, and it read 64% when I had it set to 50%. None of the buttons worked, to turn it to turbo or continuous. I pulled it from the wall to see it it needed to reset or something and waited for it to kick on - nothing. Then my dumb ass happened to look at the water level meter on it, and it was full and shut off automatically. Looks like I'm going to have to run an irrigation hose out of the back end to have it not shut off or get full after 5.5 hours.

On a side note, picked these up yesterday and started them in their feedings this morning. 2ml per liter each.

Those are pre-flowers; pistillate calyx on females, showing after 6-8 weeks veg
They can also be taken off early and dried for a tester smoke once mature enough

Oops time!

Ok, so - it's 7:30am and thought to myself, hey water and fed your girls, lights out in 2 hours...

That's done and I get to looking at them, they are still stretching. Yesterday I had to move the lights up as far as I possibly could because some of the taller tops were not getting the light they should due to the lights spread. Now I get to thinking - I should put some kind of screen up to keep them lower so they can get good lighting. Turns out I had some (A lot actually) construction tie-wire laying around and thought, hmm... this will work great!

So I begin putting it up and it goes fine. 7" or so are how big the squares are, even though I have some tweeking to do with it. Couldn't do it like I had foreseen due to time constraints - lights going out soon. Now the screen is up and I look and still have a good half hour before lights out - let's start getting them tall bitches down some, i say to myself....

So all goes well - and then I come to the Chemdog Millionaire, who is one tall broad. Her main stem has 4 additional shoots coming off her and she is pretty. I get the "not so tall ones leaning and directed where I want them, so now it's time for the main stem...

"CRACK"

This is what I'm left with....

Did I fuck her up bad? Irreparable? Or is this what's known as "Super Cropping?"

By the way, I stood that branch back up vertically, and it didn't limp over. Got a little spooked, so I left up upright for now.

So we are using advanced nutrient ph perfect system coco coir soil and coco coir clay pebbles sativa and a hybrid under a 300W dual spectrum cfl and a 300W led all plants are room sits at approx 22 - 25 degrees when the light are on and between 18 and 20 when it's off . Has a fan system and the nutrient water being fed to the plants is sitting at approximately 265ppm.

Right now for nutrients we are using the 3 combo , micro, grow and bloom advanced nutrients . We start giving it nutrients after week 1 , it says use 4ml on the bottle , but we have started it off 3ml of grow 2ml of micro and 2ml of bloom.

We are growing white haze automatic and white diesal haze .

Any tips or help.would be much appreciated.

Oh, sorry for the double post, but I forgot....

I got bored last night and was looking at the calendar. Decided to take 3 stains, 2 seeds each, and get ready to start getting the veg area bushy again!

Seeds got dropped into ph'ed and slight nute additive water. Water was from the fridge, at 72ppm, and after some RapidRoot Root enhancer, some GH FloraVova Grow, and some Sensei CalMag+, the ppm got to 400. Dropped the seeds in 3 separate solo cups halfway filled with the concoction, one for each stain. Covered them with a plate and put them on top of my boiler. I'll be posting pics later, and hell, may be even start a new thread.

Hey KZ! Welcome to the community! I too am a new (again, after a 20 year lady off) and have found this community to be very helpful and knowledgeable. So far your little ladies look nice and green. I'm sure if you run into any problems the folks here would be able to ease your mind or get your grow staying green.

One suggestion I have - growing in CoCo, keep it wet and don't be afraid to water it every day. .

Looking great Cedru. Make sure you have good airflow right now. This is the time where mold and stuff will start to show up if you don't. You have to be pretty dang happy with this grow being your first one in a really long time!

I have two oscillating fans in there - one does the tops and upper half of the plants, the other does the bottoms. Also a inline fan pulling air out, and the dehumidifier pushes air on the bottom.

Yes, I am happy that they are all not dead by now, lol.... I figured I'd only have 2 or 3 left by this time, but by reading and all of your guys help through this, I'm confident enough to have started my 2nd grow already. Will be making another journal for that shortly.
