Both outside now, low 90s overcast, had about 2 hours of sunlight before the sky clouded up. Tomorrow will be cooling down, so were gonna see how she does in the sun now. It was too much inside and looked like it was choking itself to death. Yes i did use some zip ties, but they arent cinched tight. Only broke off one bud site, and bent/broke one stem which I put a lil splint on.
Day 58 of flower......is this grow ever going to end????
I was thinking the indica would be done soon, but i dont see a single amber trich yet, and it doesnt even look close to harvest....
The brains seems to be doing just fine outside, but im thinking 4-6 more weeks for it. Did i push my harvest times back by stressing them too much early on?
I dont see anything that would make me chop it down. If those are what I think they are, those are calyxes. Normal at adult plant stage. Take one and open it to see if you have any small seeds in it.
Ok, will keep it going then, its a clone so im unsure. I took it from 24 to outside and never acclimated it, and we hd a nassssty heatwave over the weekend.
But i am on the fence, thinking i could harvest the indica at any time, but im unsure. I have 99.5% milky trichs, still some clear here and there. But im thinking i might wait for 20% amber. Its for me for the back pain and insomnia.
Day 68 of flower: Sorry for the absence, i wiped my back out a week ago and it was a chore just movin plants in and out, wasnt really enjoying it lol. But here's the indica inside for the night, ive been letting it have all the good light as i know its gonna be done before the brains which i been putting in bathroom til i harvest indica.
Here finally is a pic of the clone i stuck straight into outdoor soil, then transplanted into a sunny spot about 2 months ago. She is still going, i give her big bloom and grow big once a week or so. I topped her 5 days ago, shes just starting to bounce back. Gave it a good neem oil soak tonight.
Well somehow while carrying the indi in, one of the main colas broke and was hanging near straight down. I made the quick decison to just whack it and harvest it. I thought taping it up would cause more stress to the plant, and im at less than 14 days to harvest. So heres a pic of accidental harvest,
Before and after trimming.
I guess i should add that i have a bad colorblind deficiency w my eyes. I have a hard time differentiating between greens, yellows, browns, and reds, as well as blues and purples. So if anyone sees something i cant/dont let me know. I kinda feel like this may have got away from me because i didnt see it til lalstnight.
Well the PH meter came this morning. The PH of my tapwater is as some others around here told me, right around 6.5....so i guess im really fortunate with said tapwater.
So i have these brains escape clones going outside, still no sign of flowering and im wondering if i should bring them inside at night and out later in the morning to get flowering initiated, or if they will be ok outside on their own. Im at day 80 of flower on the original brains and it looks to have a ways to go still. Im concerned here in the St.louis area i wont have enough weather to finish them. But then again, i dont know sh!t about growing outside yet lol. Is flowering going to go quicker under the sun? What should i do?
