Comeback Grow - Blueberry & Aurora Indica - Aussie Indoor Winter Grow - LED/CFL/HPS

Re: Comeback Grow - Blueberry & Aurora Indica - Aussie Indoor Winter Grow - LED/CFL/H

Hey everyone, hope life and the grows have been going well :)
Apologies to all my subs and a slow week 3 update, my time management skills have really just gone out the window down the road and smashed by a truck lately. Its crazy really people say when you get stoned you lose motivation, bludge about rah rah rah but yet i am the complete opposite, smoking i can get shit done in a good and organized way when im not and dont have anything i lose motivation and everything blurs together lol

Anyway...
Week 3 since the switch.

Blue.
Shes an unreal plant i was getting ready to trim and checked her next thing i know shes stretched like 5 cm the last 2 nights, the leaves part of the highest colas ended uo with some light burn aswell. So HPS got raised abit higher. Her bidsites are now well and truely showing finding them amongst the bush is a difficult task though haha
Shes an absolute beast atm massive leaves and solid stems. Shes too bug now its made it hard to get good photos so before next update im going to organize a little space somewhere with like a black sheet or something to get some nice pics of her. Since she hasnt had a defol pics really dont do her justice.
Heres the photos of her.

Aurora
Oh my comeback girl, she may have swayed my attention from blue abit, you could say she just knows how to impress a grower. Its now clear shes atleast 4-7 days ahead of blue with flowering time. Im not sure if its because blues under the hos more or not but aurora is already showing sweet looking trichomes and potential to be quite a sticky lady. Budsites on colas look like relatively nice spacing but could be abit kush like growth in a way. She has hardly shown any ill signs and despite being squashed in and close to the led she is just making me happy and ready to drool. I will be happy if she finishes a week or 2 before blue having her meds to use and give the extra space to blue to fish of would be great but i doubt she will finish that quick.
Some pics of her.

The last feed they got i started adding the pk 13/14because blues leaves getting showing ill signs now however they are looking good again and both plants seemed to really thrive from the additive.
I have ordered my hygrometre/thermometre only a cheap 10-15 $ one but should do the job just hoping it gets here before weekend so i can really see whats going on in there to be safe.
Saying im being precautious about mould/humidity on this grow is a complete understatement lol i do not want it near them and with them being so close and bunched up im going to whatever i can to prevent it haha
Cheers all hoping i can organize myself abit better this week and the rest of the grow :thumb:
stacking nug now mate

Re: Comeback Grow - Blueberry & Aurora Indica - Aussie Indoor Winter Grow - LED/CFL/H

Fantastic looking plants bud. That blue is a beast, and the AI looks very promising indeed. Blue looks a little sativa-ish? Was her smoke straight indica?

Thanks everyone, really good to have some solid feedback :)
Also thanks for subbing up asesino, first aurora ive been able to get growing the whole way yours is fem so should be good, ill come check it it out soon :)

Hey blaze, the last blue was a little more 50/50 sativa indica this one definitely seems a little more on the sativa side like you say. The smoke was kind off all round, probably a little more on the indica side, kind off started off like abit of a mellow sativa high which would soon lead to a fairly heavy indica high

Sounds delicious then. I still need to pick up some DP blueberry and orange bud.

Wouldnt mind getting some of that orange bud myself , definitely need to get something more citrus like. Cant beat the flavour power of strong cotrus strains :)

UPDATE
Well today i decided to give blue her defol just had to bite the bullet she was still stretching but she had slowed down abit. Maybe she realized that HPS was getting far to close lol

Before i get onto the defol pics and notes thought id mention that they have both started to really get their pong on. Aurora has a really nice sweet fruity smell where as blue has a musky sweet rubbery smell to her, she might sweeten up abit as she gets on like my previously blue did but will have to wait and see.

Anyways on with it.
I wish i had of done a defol a few days before flower but oh well it happens but it lead to alot of half assed little branches stretching their way through her.
These are the before defol pics. Used scissors for abit of comparison.

This one is my favorite cola so far its not the longest or thickest but its structure just looks like it has potential if i avoid the mould.

Heres the leaf pile from the trim and a couple of the different leaves amongst it aswell as some of the nicer looking leaves.

Heres is all the scraggly branches i trimmed off something like 34-35, thought it was excessive but i reckon theres still more i could of taken.
20160710_201117.jpg

Now the after pictures, there really doesnt seem to be a great deal of difference but i assure you the air can now flow through her rather then not go anywhere. Most colas have abit of space between eachother aswell. Just hoping it wasnt too bad for her now. Pics are various angles.

Exciting times the filling out is really beginning now :)

Still havnt been online as much as id like lately because ive been doing alit of work while i still can. Only got a month left with what im doing so gotta get as much out of it as i can and well im going to buy an extra fishing rod within the next couple of weeks which sets me back about 200, should be going on more grow equipment but that will come after haha
Hope your all well and the grows are healthy and potent either way ill be seeing them :thumb: :thumb:

Re: Comeback Grow - Blueberry & Aurora Indica - Aussie Indoor Winter Grow - LED/CFL/H

Thanks to you all :)
Ill be by your journals for a geez tonight black thumbs and beast, im really falling behind abit atm.

Today i finally got the thermo/hygrometre so im waiting to see what reading ill get, bit suss on the hygrometre part though hasnt dropped below 60 since i turned it on.

Temp atm 8:30pm are around 23.5°c which is all good and humidity is around 61% oh wait 59% but has a 05+/-.
Is there any good way to keep humidity down without a dehumidifier?

Re: Comeback Grow - Blueberry & Aurora Indica - Aussie Indoor Winter Grow - LED/CFL/H

She sure is a pretty lass that Blue. Don't stress about the defol. I usually take more than that.

Haha after looking at her tonight my minds abit more at ease, i was really only a tic tac away at one stage of going nuts on her but well as she gets on i may still have to do another minor trim depending how the buds will end up filling out

I've been running a heater in the basement my tent is in to keep the air dry but I also need the extra few degrees of heat so it works out. If your room is too small or too large this method will have little or too much impact.

I've also done some DIY research and there is some rock salt methods that seem logical. I also have a charcoal filter and if I run it at full blast it helps. I will likely just purchase one for my next grow though as it rains all the time in the PNW and I will surely need one in winter.

Re: Comeback Grow - Blueberry & Aurora Indica - Aussie Indoor Winter Grow - LED/CFL/H

Hey guys.
Well its becoming a regular occurence me not getting on here as much as id like..
I dunno what bad karma i earnt or what i pissed off but its just been a fucked week to put it simply.

Anyway

UPDATE WEEK 4 from switch

Damn just realized although the pics are from week 4 the week 5 update is only a couple of days away. Gone by pretty quick considering im medless but the last few weeks have been a blur lol
Still having dramas with humidity. I bought 4 of those damp rid things and while they help the lights on humidity lights off is still terrible. Lghts on was at 40-50% with lights off 70-80% but now with it being 100% outside due to weather any hope of keeping it down down seems gone without buying a dehumidifier. So i went and got the fan i originally had in and put it back in there although it wont lower humidity much atleast it will keep air circulating well.
Thanks for your input aswell asesino, i might try a heater out for a little tomorrow see if it helps problem is my household is way to costly with electricity so ill probably only get away with using it a couple of hours each day if im lucky haha but ill work on it

Other then humidity things are relatively well. Well ph metre is screwed so i figured this whole time ive actually had no idea what is been at so its just guess work for now roughly 2 drops of ph down a feed.
Really love auroras smell so damn fruity and now blues smell is starting to come out abit more pleasant. Aurora has hairs starting to brown up and like ever since switch feels ahead of blue. Blue i think will be another longer flowering girl which has me worried because more work on the house will be under way soon and i really need them done before then. So may be an early harvest if they need to go longer then 10 weeks..

Some photos, different sides, angles and varieties.
