Time for todays updates, i will try keep it as short as possible as its already 5am
Temps in the veg tent today were at 32c with only 39% humidity, was even hotter today than yesterday, even hotter in the rest of the house though lol (my girls get better living conditions than i do ).

Mini Solo DWC:
The Solo Cup was checked on today and is still doing great but no signs of roots, today she was foliar sprayed with DM Gold Saturator and Canna Rhizotonic Mix, Inside the bucket was misted with plain water and covered back up with the plastic wrap, i then poked 4 small holes in the wrap. Did not get any pics today, even though i thought i did

Seedlings:
Lost Coast OG R.I.P, oops, i have replaced her with a VIP Seeds Currant Kush
White Jack and Skywalker Kush have both stretched a bit much overnight so i have now removed the cloth from the dome, apart from that all that was done was a water mist inside the dome area.

Atomic#1:
PH 6.1, EC 0.5, Nothing added, will try changing nutes out for both A#1 and A#2 tomorrow.

Atomic#2:
PH 6.2, EC 0.6, Nothing added.

So moving on to the flower tent, Temps today at 29c with RH of 54%. Sorry for the blurry photos, has been a long night. I figured i would split updates tonight as its taking forever each day to upload pics.

Atomic Bomb:
PH 5.2, EC 1.7, Added 2L water with 12 drops PH up.

Money Maker:
PH 5.5, EC 1.4, Added 2L water with 8 drops PH up.

So much to cover today, i have had a few really busy days since updating last and have kinda neglected them a bit.

Seedlings:
Not a lot of activity in this part, Currant Kush still has not popped up but White Jack and Skywalker Kush are doing ok, quite a lot of stretch. Tonight i decided to move both of them into the starter DWC with just water PH'd to 5.8 covered with a clear 1.25L soft drink bottle as a dome.

Clones:(Incl solo cup)
Solo cup clone has not had much attention over the past few days and she has suffered, not sure if she will make it so i have taken another 4 clones from Atomic#2, i will cover that after. I am kinda up in the air about rockwool yet again lol, I need to work on my cloning skills a bit and thinking i may start seeds in soil from now on, then take clones for the DWC systems. But for now for these clones, 2 are in rockwool and the other 2 are in Jiffy Pellets, both mediums PH'd to 5.8 with a water/rhizotonic mix. I changed my cloning gel from the old clonex i bought from the hardware as im not sure its the right one and have started using the DM Replicator Cut Stem Gel. Overnight since taking the cuttings, 2 out of 4 are standing back up and starting to look ok again, they were foliar treated with a water/DM Saturator/rhizotonic mix. I bought a new clone dome setup but i am not happy with it at all, this has to be the cheapest plastic i have ever seen (you know when you buy a toy for your kid and it has a clear plastic front so you can see the toy, the whole thing is made of this crap) and not to mention vents missing from packaging, the company has given me store credit but not sure if i trust their other domes or trays, not sure what to grab from there as they are pretty pricey. I did not bother grabbing any photos of them.

Atomic#1:
21st Jan, Res has now been changed out to Flower nutes, the mix was 14L water with the following added:
7ml DM Silica
4.2ml DM Zone
42ml DM Gold Add.27 Flower
20ml each DM Gold Flower A+B
PH 5.8, EC 1.0

23rd Jan, PH 5.8, EC 1.1, Liquid light foliar treatment.
Which brings us to today, PH 5.7, EC 1.0, Nothing else done today, she has shown quite a lot of growth over the past few days.

Atomic#2:
21st Jan, Res has been changed out to week 2 strength plus a little extra to bring it up to my desired EC, was mixed in 14L water.
7ml DM Silica
4.2ml DM Zone
42ml DM Gold Add.27 Grow
18ml each DM Gold Grow A+B
PH 5.8, EC 1.0

23rd Jan, PH 5.8, EC 1.0, Today she was looking really nice and had reached the stage i was ready for some more super cropping, I took 4 of her best branches as clones, the rest were disposed of, i also now had the chance to remove most of the old damaged leaves as they were no longer needed. The main reason i am doing it this way is after watching her mum grow after LST, this super cropping seems to be strengthening her core a lot better and i am hoping should be able to hold her weight. Liquid Light foliar treatment after everything was completed and she had her haircut.

Now today, PH 5.7, EC 1.0, Not a lot done today but she is looking real nice, about to explode with new growth lol, should be ready for flower by the time the big girls are done

Time for a smoke break and then back for the flower tent.

Moving on to the flower tent, these girls have been checked on almost every night but not a lot has been done apart from adding water and the occasional PH up, i am still checking thrichomes every day and all are still clear, the odd amber i thought i was seeing was due to the hps light, i may add some more nutes tomorrow as the EC is getting pretty low. MM is really chunky now and heavy solid nugs, Atomic's Nugs are nowhere near the size but makes up for it in amount of buds, should be pretty close on yield.

Atomic Bomb:
PH 5.4, EC 1.4, added 6 drops of PH up, have been dealing with PH for the past few days due to the low EC and it fluctuating but only minor signs of deficiencies to some fan leaves.

Money Maker:
PH 5.8, EC 1.2, She has really surprised me from day 1, looking absolutely magnificent and the coloring is exactly the same as the picture in the seedbanks. I am going to reveg her and grab some clones for seeds etc, i think i could get her even bigger after a bit longer veg, definitely a strain i want to keep going.

Didn't you make a bucket cloner ? I have had good outcomes with clonex and rapid rooters. I have used the jiffy pods with miracle grow powder and did ok...

I did make one but have had to disassemble it for now as i need the pump to change out nutes on my flowering girls, have also used the bucket for another plant so will need to get another together, not a real big issue right now as these clones were just messing around rather than throwing them all out from the cropping. The clonex i have had luck with in the past but its not the same clonex you get for hydro, was bought from a hardware store and was for hardwood cuttings, tbh it worked fine but have not had any results since my dad borrowed it. Also i have had the DM replicator here for a while now, i use the whole DM Gold range so why not start using their cloning range too hehe. I have been looking for rapid rooters but cant find them in my country, cant justify paying so much to import them either, the jiffy pods have been sitting here for about a year now so decided to give them a go.

So i decided, with the store credit from the shit seedling dome i used it on some different nutes. I am going to give Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect Connoisseur A+B a run on one of the upcoming girls, only went with the 1L bottles for now. I am still really happy with the Gold range from Dutch Master and my girls are really happy too so i will continue to use this, just a matter of seeing whats out there and a bit of comparison to my current nutes. I may even do one with the leftover Biocanna nutes from my last run, now that my setup is dialed in will probably achieve better results.

So not much has been done yet again, the main girls are almost ready for harvest. I took a small bud from each Atomic and MM to have a closer look with the usb microscope, I have no way of using it directly on the buds as i would need a good 20m usb cable to reach my pc lol. I may have found a workaround though, i have a spare old Samsung Galaxy S2 mobile here and from what i read you can get a OTG cable which will allow you to plug the usb microscope into the phone and use its display, waiting on a cable to arrive here now to test. Usual updates wont be tonight, i dont feel like enough has changed to even bother with the hours it takes me to write everything up and upload pictures, seriously some of these updates take me 4 hours to get together and thats a real kick in the teeth when not many stop by to have a read. I really do appreciate the people that have stuck by me in my journal, given me tips and even just stop by to say hi, without you i probably would have pissed off somewhere else by now .

Atomic Bomb:
Showing about 1% amber right now, mostly cloudy with a few clear, i will continue to monitor over the next few days but i would think within a week i will start harvesting. Todays buds were the first buds i have ever taken from either, I am not one to take "samples" when its not really needed. Atomic Nug is 1.11g Wet. Just remember these buds are from the lower growth that is in direct light and not from the colas so are a little bit further behind in ripeness.

Money Maker:
Showing more amber than Atomic but not really much further in front, will probably be ready about the same time. Have i mentioned how much i hate this strains name? Just makes me feel like people look at me like i am trying to make money out of this when it is quite the opposite, i only grow for my own needs and dont sell anything. I know the name is not meant to be taken that way and it is named after a musician "Elmore James’ Money Maker" but just seems so wrong saying it lol, i think thats the main reason i call her MM so much . MM Nug is 0.84g Wet and also from lower growth.

So i didnt bother doing full checks tonight, main thing was making sure MM's PH did not fluctuate too much overnight, now sitting on a stable 5.8. Apart from that all i have done tonight is make a mini Solo cup DWC for the solo cup comp lol, if you have not seen it yet here is my entry.

Very simple to make using 4 solo cups and scissors lol, anyways im out, laters

Haha thanks Rad, i think thats my biggest issue with this grow so far, its been so smooth they have basically done all the work themselves while i sit back and do nothing
Nothing for people to help with etc lol

My biggest issue with my updates has been uploading the pics, updates all written up within about 30 mins, can take sometimes 30 mins to upload 1 pic to the site, all i get is "Server (IO) Error", but i cant update without all these pretty pics i take lol

I have put a couple of pics of my girls in other threads but i feel like i am hijacking their journals, not the type of person i am lol

Thankyou very much for your kind words Cannafan, I only got the microscope the other week and its the first time i put it to use, I definitely needed to use the stand that came with it to get such clear pics (even though you still cant see much haha), tried holding it by hand and it was all a blur

I posted a couple of bud pics over in the eye candy thread a few weeks back, I think i ended up spending the rest of the night in there drooling lol

The comp is still open to get started and is all a friendly competition, no prizes or anything just fun thing to do, try not to crash and burn LOL. Either seedlings or clones must be rooted by 1st Feb, as soon as they root they go straight under 12/12, can pick whatever medium or container you like but it has to be no bigger than 16oz solo cup. I am going to give that USB micro another shot though. And yes, you have to use the stand. The wee bittiest shake of the fingers or hand at that magnification will blur it. I think that's why I got frustrated, I have to stay too still. I don't "still" well.

Now i just need the clones to root and i will be sweet , trust me my hands dont know "still" either lol. Its looking like Monday will be harvest day, its the first chance i will have to spend a few hours trimming and sorting them out ready for the drying process. Harvest should be above and beyond my expectations for a first time hydro grower, currently everything i am doing is in this journal but will need to split it all up soon once these girls are done, i will definitely let you all know when i get it all together

I had big plans for last night, was going to update everything and post some really nice pics. I first started in the Veg tent, Atomic#2 was looking really nice and is stacking nodes on the new growth. I checked on the rest of the clones and seedlings with no difference noticed, I ended up adding a very weak mix of nutes to the seedlings. After this i moved over to the flower tent, all over seeing signs of different deficiencies, this is due to the fact the EC is so low right now and probably running very low on nutes, I decided to mix a light mix of nutes in to both Atomic and Money Maker and here is where the trouble started, I dropped my damn PH meter into the mix and now it does not work, its new home is in a container full of rice in an attempt to save it just long enough til my new meter arrives. I have been looking at upgrading for a while now, my current meter was a $10 cheapie and not waterproof in any way, I decided to go with the Bluelab PH pen, hopefully it gets here before the weekend as if my old one does not work i will have no way to check PH until harvest. Pretty much from here i gave up on tonight, tomorrow is a new day
