Welcome aboard Ms. Krissi. :welcome: and Thank you!
I have been very excited to get these seeds and get going on them. Was hoping to get them while the current grow seedlings were only a week or so old. BUT, I have a plan and these will only be a couple weeks behind.
The last thing I need right now is another journal to follow but, RQS and Iron Mike?…IM IN!
The team went into damp paper towels this morning, after having sunk to the bottom of the shot glasses. They are in a cabinet that has a seedling mat on the wall, nice and toasty in there with the mushroom cultures.
Now we wait to see their little roots poke out and go exploring.

Edit: Dynamite Diesel had already come out swinging. There is a tap root emerging already.
Why do I drop my seeds in water first?
Most people who do this believe the water helps to soften the shell and allow moisture inside to jumpstart the life cycle. When I started doing this instead of straight into damp paper towels, I found that I would get a tap root a full day or two faster.

I believe this is true, and might add that dropping them into water allows the little air pocket inside to release and let the moisture in, allowing a faster time frame for the root to emerge in the paper towels.
I took this photo many years ago of a seed that had sunk and you can see the bubble of air coming out of the cracked shell.

I think I'll pull up a chair and plop my self down with my THCa Diamonds and relax and watch the show. Super excited for the Dynamite Diesel, with parentage from two of my faves, I can't wait to see how they do!
I think we can be friends for sure cause I thought I was the only Indica gal around here! And @Greengoodness, yes! Go Indica!! We can be friends, too!
Hey Krissi yes i've been mainly Indica on all my outdoor grows and 7yrs growing indoor with these heavy indica hybreds. I'm old school and old LOL 66yrs growing weed for 40 outdoor. I don't grow large plants anymore just 7ft or under strains as i'm widowed own my own doing it all on my own and can't move more than 15gal pots around . I love it but love the green planet and keeping it healthy. Take Care, i enjoy your spirt.:ganjamon::ganjamon::ciao::snowboating:
