Freedom Dream Community Grow Journal

What's up dude. So, how old are these plants again? and what have you been feeding it? I see one dried up its lower leaves at least once. what's the run off ph in those pots? a day letting it dry out to often can cause salt buildup and make plants stretchy and lanky kinda.

Hi GFP,

Thanks for the thoughts.

This is my 3rd grow, and I readily admit I am not a gardener. But because cannabis is such a hearty plant, I have had some success, though far from optimal.

I have come to the conclusion that I have been under watering the plants. I was trying to stay on top of it this grow but we have had too many outsiders around the property to stay on top of it.

But what you say makes sense. I was trying to figure out why the pH kept going acidic. What you say explains it. I doubt I will be able to flush and water this crop as needed, so I'm hoping I can get a decent crop out of it. But the fall indoor grow will be focused on keeping the plants watered.

I have been using the Flora products. I knew a successful grower who used Canadian Tire 20-20-20 for his plants.

Freedom 2 sprouted on May 5th. Freedom 3 and 4 sprouted on May 12th.

Thanks for the insight.

Peace. :peace:

Good Morning All,

Just a quick reminder about these seeds. I believe what I said in POST # 28 is correct. Two out of the three Freedoms I still have are too tall for our six foot tent.

Here are a few pics of our motley Freedoms. All 3 are still in their pots. I transplanted the CBDutch 1 & 2 yesterday.

Peace. :peace:

Canada: Vancouver Pot Activist Calls For Open Cultivation Of Cannabis Plants

A cannabis plant in every yard? That could be the slogan for Dana Larsen's Overgrow Canada pot-seed campaign.

The marijuana advocate led a project this year to give away 5 million cannabis seeds this year; last year he and his colleagues gave away 2.5 million.

"We're encouraging people to plant them openly," he said Sunday. "The goal is to normalize cannabis growing."

It's a continuation of a civil disobedience campaign, following on from the growth of bong shops and dispensaries in many communities across Canada.

One of his contacts spotted a pair of cannabis plants growing in the flower beds around Vancouver city hall. That was a great thing to see, he said.

"I want to be in a country where growing a plant in your front is a common thing," he said.

Cannabis plants growing wild aren't any more dangerous than other plants he pointed out.

"I look at my yard, there's morning glory taking over – it's actually hallucinogenic," he said. "So don't feel there's any concern about that. There's no harm being near a cannabis plant."

"Munching on a cannabis bud, nothing's going to happen at all. It's not actually nice to chew on, it's not like a bright red berry that grows everywhere and is toxic to kids."

Hi All,

I moved the Freedoms into the forest this morning, where I hope they will be less conspicuous. Freedom 2 smelled great. I'm lousy at describing things so I won't even try. Has anyone else smelled the Freedoms in flower?

Peace. :peace:

Good read ...

I got these seeds from Dana Larsen. I went to hear him speak and I asked him after if the seeds were autos and he said that definitely some were, but others weren't. Mine are.

Awesome detective work! Not-so-awesome reply...lol. With great respect to Dana's vision; those answers are a must-know for growers. Especially for novice growers. But I do love the free meds concept. ;)

Hi TashaLit,

Hey TashaLit,

Guess you are a canuck too. I'm in the Hammer (Hamilton Ontario). We just got an above ground pool this summer. It is 19X33. But we can't have plants beside it because of the neighbours.

Look forward to hearing more from you...

Yup. Make friends with your neighbours. Everyone knows someone who needs at least some CBD. You'll be surprised. It's only hemp, after all.

So I wasn't expecting much from these freedom dreams, especially when they started to flower right away, but I'm really excited about one of them. The flowers are really filling out and I think I'll get some great colas. . Can't wait to sample to see if it's really all CBD and no THC.

Anyone else having luck with Dana Larsens freedom dream?

Hi All,

As best as I can tell, hemp requires a grow licence also.

I hate being the old grumpy gus, but we must remember what the law requires of us. Caution is our friend. I expect that when we "legalize" cannabis next year, our opponents will still be calling the cops for, too many plants, or too tall plants.

Here is hoping you all have good neighbours and a tolerant police force.

Here are the Freedoms in the forest...Peace. :peace:

I like living on the edge .. I have a close knit community. Tight with my neighbours. . Next door suffers severely with Lyme disease and CBD helps her a lot. I grow a lot for older patients, specific strains that help them that maybe they can't always get. Low THC. I feel like it's worth the risk.
