Greenjeans Greenhouse HodgePodge Grow 2020

Well, I can't believe how fast they have flowered and that I have only 2 males - don't know what will happen with the 4 in the incubator - cookie will be a female. The others are being topped at the 4th or 5th node. I've already shot my "only 4" promise all to hell !!! OK - "only 4" in the greenhouse!! I might place 4 of the best ones right in the ground beside the woodshed just like last year to see how they do. See if they like that better than the laundry tubs. Last year I didn't top until they were about 6'....what an adventure!!!! :thumb:

So far no action from the 3 seeds from my Brother in law - it's been a week now - I'm pretty sure one seed is shot but the other 2 look OK so I'll just leave them in the paper towel for a few more days and if no action I may try scarifying.

OK, here's the kids in my "light box incubator" waiting to get sturdy enough to join the others in the greenhouse. They got put in soil around May 5th. That's "Cookie" on the right.

The cookie seed is a Blue Cookie strain.

this is what they say about it, from crop kings.

As you may already have guessed from the name, Blue Cookies is a cross between Blueberry and Girl Scout Cookies. It’s just as delicious as you’d expect but it’s not all about taste. There are plenty of medical benefits too.

Although Blue Cookies is actually Indica dominant, it has a fairly robust 20% THC which quickly produces an upbeat head high. The Indica genetics keep this happy and chilled rather than massively energy-packed. The pain-relief, however, is still very much what you’d expect. As the 0.3% CBD begins to make itself felt, you transition from serene happiness into deep metal and physical relaxation. Overall, we’d say this strain was best kept for use at night.

Blue Cookies has an indoor flowering time of about 9 weeks and an outdoor harvest period of around late September. While it’s a robust strain in general, it has the standard marijuana preference for warmth and dryness as well as light, so for growers towards the north of Europe, growing under glass might be a more sensible option than a proper outdoor grow. As a minimum, make sure you plant these seeds where they are sheltered from the elements.

The good news for both indoor and outdoor growers is that Blue Cookies stays nicely compact. You’re looking at a growing range of between about 1M (indoor minimum) to about 1.5M (outdoor maximum). Taking its compact size into consideration, Blue Cookies does give pretty decent yields. Indoor growers can expect up to 400g/m2 and outdoor growers can expect up to 550g/pp.

We’ve listed Blue Cookies as being moderately difficult to grow due to the fact that it’s a photoperiod strain. If you’re a total beginner and growing indoors, you might want to consider starting with an automatic strain so you can remove the need to manage light cycles from you’re learning curve. If, however, you’re comfortable managing lights, or growing outdoors, then Blue Cookies is a very undemanding strain.

In terms of taste and aroma, Blue Cookies is more about the blueberries than about the cookies. We’d actually be inclined to class this as a fruit strain, which just happens to have a base of cookie (or muffin) to give it some balance and body. The scent is definitely one of sweet, berries albeit with a hint of warm spiciness for interest. Another plus about this strain is that the smoke is very smooth so it generally goes down without coughing, or you could use it in a vaporizer.

Hey, Thanx for that Back!!!! I sure hope I get to enjoy all this. It makes me nervous that I only have one "decent" seed!!! The poor thing has been dropped and replanted already in her short life - I sure hope she survives my manhandling!!! But on the bright side...my experiments seem to be off to the races - way ahead of last year!!!
This is what we woke up to this morning, sooooo........

I actually saw that Ontario got hit over night with the white stuff from @Kingjoe83 thats unfortunate!! You guys had an earlier spring then we did though.

Don’t worry about only having one good seed. We will get you some more!!:high-five:

Hey @Backlipslide - did you ever try taking cutting from this one??
I don’t think I ever did. I didn’t start cloning until after my last run with blue cookie strain. I imagine they would clone well!!

I see very neighborly of him! I did like the sounds of the review looking forward to watching the grow.
:ciao:

yes sir they are crop king genetics. The article was from This website. it was the top website after googling “blue cookie crop kings seeds” they’re official website was right below it but it’s always good to go to other sources for reviews. Then you know it’s an unbiased opinion.

Well, she popped on May 4th and today is the 12th - the bag seed are progressing I think but she is just sitting there. I have them in seedling starter mix so they shouldn't need anything for awhile. I'll do a blow up of the earlier pic to see if I see any difference.
OK, here ya go - the fan leaves have grown so I guess she is slowly moving along, I'm just surprised that the second set have not popped out more. But, Hey, she hasn't fallen over soooo...

She got a hit of sunshine today. It looks like the second set of leaves are popping up so I'm hoping she is just a slow starter...she jumped out of the seed husk so fast she may have wore herself out !!
