Shadowman's First Grow

You've done a fantastic job with the CFL lighting and I'm still amazed how you were able to keep her from getting to big. I'm gonna put some pics of the clones on my thread and man, they have gone nuts. I can't really get any real detailed pics but you'll get the idea when you see them. I'll just say, I'm really looking forward to moving them to the flower closet. We're thinking a scrog net over both of them but we'll have to wait and see. Need to get the fan off the floor and will be working on getting it attached to the ceiling. Talk at ya soon.

Good morning ,
Welcome, here's the harvest update. I chopped Medi1 at 6:00am cst, 9/12 and trimmed her to a respectable shape. She weighed 304g trimmed wet. I'm not happy with the bud density, they are airy. I'll have to get my flower temps under better control and I hadn't originally planned on her going this long or I would have had a 5 gallon pot to put her into. I'm still hoping for 4zips dry weight. I've got the buds hanging in the tent with fans, the temp is 72* and the humidity is 50*-53*. About 10* cooler without the lights running. The LFs in veg are getting ready for flower in two weeks, I built 2 4' x 4' scrogs for Medi2 and Medi3 from my Ideal 420 Soil grow journal. When the buds are done hang drying I'll clean up the tent and take it out of operation for the time being and set up a flower area where the tent was, that's where I'll flower the 4 LFs. I'll also be taking a couple of clones from the LFs for a good friend of mine. I might keep one. On to the photos, first I'm putting up some of Medi1 2 days before the chop.

Thanks for coming by and sharing my first grow and harvest. I enjoyed every aspect of cultivating cannabis from the actual gardening to the new family I've found here at "The Mag". Great job Shadowman. I'm very impressed with the way Medi turned out using just CFL'S. My first grow with the chronic produced some very airy buds also. I would prefer rock solid, but hey, 15 oz's is 15 oz's!!

You may be correct on chopping too soon, that being my first harvest I didn't want to let her go too long. The more I experience the more I will learn and improve. Thanks for the input yuyo.

Medi1 came in at 304g wet but after hang drying her for 5 days she weighed in at 75g. Her buds were super airy. The smoke report for her is: satisfactory (C+). I'll be looking to improve on this next harvest with LF3 & LF4. I'm waiting for some videos to upload, I'm going to start updating my grows with video. They are the best thing to use to go back and see what happen in each grow. I Do a lot of them to keep a record for my self so I can see things I did and make good changes when needed. I look forward to see what you throw down with them double scrogs. I hate using yoyo's to hod colas my self.
