Some Gear No Idea - First Grow Under CFLs & LED - Candida CBD Strain

Got some Advanced overdrive nuts which I'm hoping will add bulk. My bigger fan leafs where dropping slightly I presume this is because the plant is focusing on producing buds.

I've been a little naughty and got a couple of autos I'm thinking of growing before the move

Which are Sweet tooth auto & Amnesia Auto CBD

Will decide to go ahead once I know what sort of yield I'll get off this candidas.

If I did I'd like to get them going ASAP, can i run lights in my tent whilst I'm drying the Candida? Or should I wait till there out?

Don't want the LED to over dry the bud.

I don't know why but I think the darkness is better for curing and drying, even with an LED I think it would dry them out too quick.

You can make a drying cupboard/box and run a bit of piping through on a T junction that connects your airflow going into the tent and then your cupboard.

You might have to do a lot of mucking about with reducing the size of the junction going into your cupboard (should you decide to make one. I think you should, squeeze that other grow in brother!)

You want more air going into your tent than the cupboard, I've used gaffa tape and an empty biro/straws to try and minimise the amount of air lost going into your tent.

I don't know how much this will mess around with the current RH and heat levels you've got. Benefits of it are that you'll still be making use of the filter and ergo dealing with smell.

It hasn't got to be complicated, just a cardboard box that will fit in your shed and accommodate your dank.

I take it your bin men ain't come yet. Get the kids Christmas toy boxes back and use them ;)

Hey aspiegeek - I'm a bit late to this party, sorry dude - Subbed now.

I've gone the BioBizz route so this journal could be informative for me. I've skipped ahead and seen that your plants look amazing. Gonna roll a fresh one, go back to the page1 and settle in.

:surf:

Hey how are you? Is that biobizz for nutes or soil?

Hey good to have you join in.

BioBizz have been awesome nuts and i used there all mix soil. Can't fault it, plants have been healthy & happy since seedlings. And I shall use it for my next grow aswell.

I'm currently using Bloom+I got some advanced supplements nuts (Big bud & Overdrive) which I'm using with it.

Just switching them from Big bud to Overdrive this week. Seems to have done a good job.

Haha that's a good idea, I'll see what I can find. I have to say considering there in week 6 of flower the smell isn't too bad although it could be that I'm now used to it lol but I have a spare carbon filter I can use.

Will have a look around see what I can find.

I agree I think the LED would dry them too quick and last thing I want is to F up the drying.

Some more pics got them out of tent to have a fiddle with there ties. Made sure air can circulate through them well

Sadly one of my girls leafs have a few small burns from the big CFL My fault for putting it a bit too close. Measured them and there about 12-inches high. The one I topped is a little taller. I'm thinking there Indica as there getting older. Looking at how close the nod are spaced and there much shorter than other candidas I've seen.

Thank you kindly . I'm pretty impressed with them, I keep having a chat with them tho about fatting up, we like curvy girls in this house so they need to put on some weight .

Got some Kelp supplement for them which they get once a week aswell. Although it will soon be time to slow down on nuts.

So bit of a hectic day with family over, I tire very quickly socialising (I know I sound very dull, I enjoy it but it takes a lot out of me to be social).

Got to spend half hour in my shed before lights out time. Girls are doing good, starting to get more bulky (yay)

On another note my VG & PG arrived today as I decided to make a VG extract using (my wife's) crock pot (so I best not fuck it up lol), and I got some flavourings Inc Strawberry cheese cake which I'll mix in with the pure VG extract which will be for my mother to take orally for pain relief.

I'll then mix in PG to my batch to vape it as PG will thin it out more making it more vapable than pure VG.

I'll let you guys know how that goes lol I plan on using the trimmings once dry to do the first batch whilst I'm waiting for buds to cure I altleast have some meds to be using.

Mate, just got on the biobizz soil (long story, bloke in the grow shop begged me to use it)

I've not had the results I'm getting with this garden compared to gardens of yesteryear.

Will definitely be checking out the nutes. Good luck on your garden, have you got a journal going?

Howzit aspiegeek - great shots of the stem structures.

That's some next-level training going on dude. I've not yet caught up with your journal, I've spent most of the day editing and then posting my own first journal. So exited - Hopefully my plants end up half-way as good as yours.

Thanks bro, I went a bit easier on one of them incase they didn't like it lol hoping it will have improved my yield .

Awesome that your starting a grow! I'll sub into yours .

Guys & girls need some suggestions

At night we're having cold temps. My lights kick on at 4am so between them and my oil heater the girls keep warm at lights out with a minimum temp of 15c normally 17c but it depends on how cold it is outside, if it's -4c then it's 15c with lights off etc etc

Anyway the issue is drying! After harvest. I know to do a slow dry but to avoid mould I want temps of like 20/21c correct?

This will be achievable during the day with no light, but at night with no lights I don't think I'll get it that warm.

Choice:

Keep my little mars 300W LED plugged in but have it lower and opposite side to where there drying, keeping this on will provide enough heat that it doesn't get colder than 20c

However I fear it may dry them too quick!

Choice 2 is let the oil heater do the work, turn it up to max on cold nights and hope that it provides enough heat

At mo I see no signs of mould what so ever so the last thing I want is it to attack during drying!

Little floor heater ?

Heat mat in tent ?
Something I am considering
Here is chart for temp and humidity meet up spots

Awesome chart!!!! Just up my street lol

Good idea, have seen those little garden tube heaters! Which look quite good and that should add the extra warmth without drying the buds out to quick ..

Happy New Years buddy .
