so i have this grow going, it's been about 2 to 2 and a half months from seed. i have basically a $0 budget and want to see if i can actually do it. it's been 12/12 from seed, and a 100w hps light, and i've used an old fridge as a grow closet (small desk fan as an exhaust fan, no intake, just open venting from the bottom). the plant is in flowering, obviously its a female, it's a bagseed from some medical a friend gave me and it's been losing lower leaves and experiencing upward curling of the mid/upper fan leaves. i feel like i could benefit from some wisdom here, can i make it to harvest like this?

1st nice job
Pot looks a bit small, any roots poking out??
Curl most likely is heat, how hot is it inside, may wanna check the humidity as well
How far away is the light, HPS bbs are designed to lay flat, horizontal, so not sure how much light it's getting, but stretching isn't to bad it appears
Are u using nutes??

only pots i have ($0 grow) no roots poking out , no way to gauge humidity
its about 80F in there and the light is about 12 inches away
as far as the light, its a repurposed street/area light made to be vertical (would it mess it up if i put it sideways?)
and for nutes using regular miraclegrow

Heat sounds good at 80f
I'd raise the light about 12" and see how it does, bet it's toasting yer girl

as for climate, its south louisiana, humidity is always 75% or higher

A small fan on the plant 24/7 will make a positive. An upward curl can reflect a need for magnesium so you can get that by diluting a teaspoon of Epsom salt in your solution. Will want to give calcium with it. Can dilute regular milk 50/50 to get it in, Find a way to get some potassium into the plant and cut back on the nitrogen. Overall your doing good.
Fabric grocery bags make nice cheap pots. Perhaps you have one lying around?

For K buy and eat some bananas then chop up the peels and put them in a full glass of water. After 3 days feed the water to the plant and top dress the chopped pieces for the next watering. Also mix in some egg shells for extra calcium.

I know this is an old thread but I really feel the resourcefulness of it. I mean this deserves a bump. Rusty nails. Repurposed shopping bags. If the guy hadn’t tagged his “grow closet” no one would have even suspected! Lol I mean who can’t find a deserted refrigerator in their hood! But with zero operating costs how he running the “sun”? But I’m loving the “down low” of it.
