Well tomorrow is the start of Week 5... I gave them some neem just to make sure I don't get bugs in the last stretch.

Thanks. Yeah I think the Platinum Girl Scout Cookies is going to as well.

My buddy gave me a bunch of Fox Farms Cha Ching finisher. I think it's like 9-50-30. I have their Beastie Bloomz too but I fed that to them when they were kind of blocked out.

Probably will do one feed if Beastie Bloomz again then use the Cha Ching and Flora for micro nutrients.

I am getting antsy, hard not to want to do something to them. I rearranged them, trying to get the best light distribution to the plants that ate going to produce more.

I was thinking about planting some more seeds pretty soon to get started on the next crop, if I planted now they'd probably show sex right around the time these ones are finished and I am am decide if I want to continue with the 12/12 method. I am trying not to count my chickens before they hatch still, hoping once these get into mater flower they're going to swell up.

Oh I also put together this nutrient calculator spreadsheet so I don't have to guess what is the right amount of food based on the bottle. The last feed was right around 700-800 ppm, with 5mL of Crystal Burst and FN Bloom. I think the Fox Farms nutrients will avoid lockout going into the home stretch because they're so potent, they will leave behind less salts at the same nutrient level.

I watered and fed today...

1.25ml/G FN Bloom
5ml/G Crystal Burst
4ml/G Beastie Bloomz (Not quite the whole teaspoon)
1.ml/G Armor Si
pH at 6

According to my little calculator that should be around 1400 ppm... Pretty heavy but since the dry nutrients probably aren't taking exactly the same volume as stated due to air space between the granuals. I'm not sure what my tap water ppm is either, but you know honestly I have burned plants a little before and it doesn't seem to be as big a deal as starving them.

I used all the Beastie Bloomz and I will be in week six of flower by the time they need feeding again so I will probably be using Cha Ching next feed. I am waiting for most of the pistils to start turning because you're supposed to use it once the flowers are finishing/ripening.

They're smelling fantastic, which I am not as happy with as one would expect because I am out of meds :-( I might not be able to buy any more until these are done either...

I also use Beastie Bloom a d your sapossed to use a 1/4 tsp..the buds are looking good tho...my girls final took off after I transplanted them into there final homes..I use all the fox farm nutes plus a Little Rapid Start and Floralicious and they seem to love it..

Yeah I put together that nutrient calculator because I wanted to see what the PPM level their suggestions are at. A teaspoon per gallon (5 mL/G) is right around 1000 ppm for both.

I found this "Hanna" chart somewhere that suggested 1000 ppm for blooming and up to 1400 for mature blooming and ripening. So I honestly expect to see a little burn but I think I will do okay considering I measured one of my last feeds at almost 2000 ppm.

On the one I call "Bigger Bertha" she had grown a lot of side branches and is building some nice buds, I made sure to remove whispy internodal buds to make sure the top ones on these branches filled out. Usually you do that on a big plant to make huge colas, my purpose was I just didn't want the plant is waste any energy on this little BS buds... Not even popcorn. I see a lot more stuff like that in the bottom of a few other ones that I am probably going to pluck too, but I am waiting a bit to see what fills in and what just stays an airy waste.

I sure got some choice genetics though. So trichy... Well the Frankenberry isn't that resinous, it's not really impressing me. The pistils are turning red on it the fastest but the buds still haven't filled in much.

At this point I am all guesses on how much each plant will yield. The Platinum Girl Scout Cookies are stacking up surprisingly well especially for how stretched they both got. The really stretched one is starting to sway a lot under the weight of the bud...

Well I think it burnt them a little bit but not too bad, the one front row and center has some sugar leaves that feel real crispy at the tips though, I thought I read somewhere that could be a sign of gray mold inside the the, but I really doubt that's the case since my humidity is so low, still in the 30s to 40s.

Today is officially Week 6 and I am seeing lots of cloudy trichomes, probably about 70/30 milky to clear, so I decided to start flushing now. Plain water form here on.

I actually smoked some of the bottom buds I had pinched off a while ago just a few days ago and I thought the high was pretty good. I am trying to get a good balance between head and body high though.

Trying to coordinate the harvest at the same time because I want to try the 72 hours in darkness thing.

I was thinking about it but I wondered how well it would work to get the hair off, especially when I hang to dry. I was thinking of using paper bags but I have never heard of anyone putting them directly into paper bags before hang drying a little.

I never got any of the harvest accessories I planned on either. Oh well I didn't really yield much so I should be able to hang them in a corner or something like I have before, but I kind of wanted to hang them in my tent since it at least had some filtration and good air flow, plus it will keep the bud in the dark. Just not really sure how I would hang them.

I am thinking about just setting a hard date of 7/30 to cut them down, but that's only 8 weeks... I am just kind of leaning towards leaving them more cloudy/clear after test smoking those small buds, and they weren't even fully developed. I guess I could pluck off some of the popcorn buds to test right now.

Well I tried the test samples of the Blackberry Kush... Was not expecting it to be this strong of an inebriating effect. My head feels like of fuzzy and I keep feeling like my body is oddly vibrating like I used to when I very first started smoking. My memory foam slippers feel like big vibrating fluffy marshmallows and I keep catching myself zoning off into the distance, burning a hole in my wall while I just move my feet around and trip out on the sensation. I somehow wound up with a gram even after drying over night, though I cut almost 3 off the plant wet... Wasn't no popcorn, but it was one of the stretched ones and I figured they weren't going to do me much good in overall yield. From what I can see, there are barely any clear trichomes left and most vary from cloudy and translucent, to solid white and opaque. Noticed a tiny few patches of amber but it was a little bolder than I expected, I wonder if it was just odd discoloration or a piece of a pistil or something.

I smoked half a gram about 15 minute ago... Or maybe it was an hour. I don't know my sense of time is a little bit off right now, but anyway I smoked the same amount earlier in the day and had about the same effect except it actually gave me a weird boost of energy, maybe because I usually smoke before doing house chores and this stuff got my heart racing. I just smoked after dinner this time and feel a little more sedated, but I still feel an elevated heart rate... Probably need to not smoke so much of this strain at one time.

I was blown away with how smooth it was being totally uncured, I was expecting a taste of grass clippings but it was pretty much flavorless. Maybe I will chalk that up to my bong but usually when I have tried freshly picked bud that I dried over night it tasted awful even through the bong.

Still haven't tried the Frankenberry samples I took, but they don't look that great to me.

Anyway, I believe I have the munchies...

All of them are looking really good!! The high you described is exactly what I experienced the first I time sampled my BBK I came to the same conclusion smoke a lot less of it than I am used to

What did your trichomes look like when you harvested? I am strongly considering cutting at least a plant or two now because I liked the high from it.

I am trying the Frankenberry right now... It smells amazing.

Whoa it even tastes good... There must be something wrong with my taste buds. It's only dried over two nights, ubcured, UNFLUSHED and still tastes good, like genuinely good not just tolerable. Crazy.

So yeah... I don't know what I want to do now lol I really like the high at this stage

Last time I grew I cut early because I had a bunch of environmental and power issues and thought I was risking losing the whole thing to bugs or mold, so anyway I cut thode even a little later than this and they smoked like straight butt before being cured.

Only difference I can tell is I have always dried with leaves on... With these testers I figured it woukd just save drying time to manicure them up before drying, but I expected that to make them taste worse... So I am rethinking how I am going to dry.

Anyway this stuff isn't as strong as the Blackberry Kush, but I really like it. I wonder if in some kind of Twilight Zone twist if it would taste worse when cured...

I harvested at about 30% amber

here is my one plant harvest just 2 zips but when I checked the roots the jiffy starter net was to tough for the roots to penetrate so they grew out of the top then out and down leaving a void directly under the stalk and she grew so slow due to lack of root development.

Well that's pretty good considering I probably won't get two ounces off this entire crop haha

I started counting the days since they started to flower and I realized that I am actually a week behind on my count somehow... The Blackberry Kushes have all been flowering for 52-50 days and from what I can find people suggest a 55-60 day flower time. So anyway I am actually right around 7.5 weeks it turns out...

The platinum girl scout cookies started flowering almost a whole ten days after the BBk... So it looks like I shouldn't be cutting down this crop all at once.

You can always do a partial harvest. Usually flowers are more mature at the top of the plant. Chop them and give the lower stuff more light and time.
