After a Few Year Site Hiatus - I Have Returned Stronger Than Ever!

ItsTheWater

New Member
It's been almost 2 years since my last journal and ItsTheWater has come back to share and show my successes over the last few years and more recently, my solo grow ventures! It's pretty late here for me and I had knee surgery today so I'll only post a few images for you to preview from beginning of this most recent go around....

There is a link to my first and only 420mag journal in my signature for those of you who have not seen it!

Before we jump in, all the info first! A list/setup of what is going down around these here parts!

What strain is it?
Currently flowering are 2 Blue Dreams, 2 Trainwrecks (might be the legendary Arcata cut, has been finishing at 42 days!), and 1 Lucy. Veg tent has Blue Dreams, Pineapple Kush, Trainwreck, and Lucy clones/mothers in it. Seed box has a ton of variety getting ready to hopefully germinate.

Is it Indica, Sativa or Hybrid? What percentages?
4 Sativa's flowering(BD,TW) 1 Hybrid (Lucy)

Is it in Veg or Flower stage?
You will be seeing a majority of just my flower room. I have a veg tent too but they're boring minus the weight training I do.

If in Veg... For how long?
They vegged for about a month before I flipped them to flower.

If in Flower stage... For how long?
It's the start of day 41 of flower tonight.

Indoor or outdoor?
Indoor!

Soil or Hydro?
Soil still rocks!

If soil... what is in your mix?
I currently use a 2:1 FFOF/FFLW mix with added Perlite for drainage.

If soil... What size pot?
We're flowering in 10gallon Smart Pots.

Size of light?
Flower has 2 1000watt lights. 1 MH, 1HPS. Veg has a 6 bulb T5 panel. Clone room has two T7, 1 warm, 1 cool spectrum lights and a 23w halo cool spectrum lamp as well.

Is it aircooled?
Absolutely. 6" duct with a hydrofarm inline fan attached to a Organic Air Charcoal filter.

Temp of Room/cab?
Flower stays at 81-84ºF with tons of available CO2 in the air (2 adults living in the room, one currently out of work on knee surgery.) Veg stays at about 75ºF or so as well.

RH of Room/cab?
RH in flower varies. During the day it's at about 40-47% RH and at night I keep it between 52-55% RH. This will be lowered as the plants enter their ending weeks.

PH of media or res?
Haven't checked in a long time because I'm too trusting...Was around 6.6 last time I did check though.

Any Pests ?
We've dealt with a few of the Fox Farms fungus gnats here and there but nothing too exciting. I took care of a vast majority of them by drying out the soil earlier on in flower to kill off any larvae they had left. I see a few things flying every once in a blue moon. Plants are looking great though so nothing that's set off alarms quite yet.

How often are you watering?
Every 3rd day the flowering room get's a little over 2 gallons per plant with nutrients coming ever other feeding.

Type and strength of ferts used?
I currently use General Organics Vegan Nutrient line with Bio bud, Bio thrive bloom, and CaMg supplements. The plants love this stuff and it hasn't seemed to fail me yet with 100% success in clones, mothers, plants, and flower since switching to it. Love it.

Alright, enough long winded ness. Here is a photo from 5 days before I switched the lights to 12/12. It's nothing spectacular but it gives you an idea of where they were to where they are now...

Hope you enjoy what you've seen thus far and you come back to follow up. I have many pictures to post and much time to do it with knee recovery now commencing!

Great plants and grow ItsTheWaters. Will definately follow along!

Just curious, but has it been two years since your last grow also?

It may be too early in the drying, but any thoughts on yield from the two TrainWreck's ?

Negative. It's just been a two year site hiatus. I wanted to put all of my journals on here but I moved a few times between then and now and finally am at a point where I wanted to share again. :)

And sadly, being that I had never dealt with the strain or SCRoG before, I didn't top/train it the right way to maximize the harvest. Either way, initial guesstimate would be about 1/2lb dry total from the two, maybe a tad more.

Understand - sometimes life does get in the way doesn't it.

Wow, if your right about the weight that seems impressive to me for two plants. I would love to see what you could do a familiar strain and the proper top training! :bravo:

I hope you have the opportunity to continue not only this journal, but also to journal your future endeavors.

Indeed it does.

Well thank you, I strive to make the best of my area to grow in. I really wish I would have been more familiar with this one. The blue dream and LSD I'm currently growing could potentially be 3/4 and 1/2lb plants themselves. Pretty crazy how big blue dream is getting. Here is the next set in the picture series.

Dark shots on May 15th.

:welcome:

Blue dream is a great one! I attempted to grow her once back in 2011 but she didn't enjoy the setup I had back then and hermied very early. This one is about 7 weeks deep now and I'm hoping she only goes to 10, but will wait to 11 if I have to.

As far as the SCRoG goes, this is my very first time with it. I've typically grown doing LST and then flowering afterwards but this time I did a little experimenting with a few different low stress methods that really worked on the plants to spread them out. Hopefully here in the next year I can get into a little bit bigger of a place and go vertical SCRoG'ing. I have a really nice stadium V idea that I want to try out but my tent isn't big enough to do so. I'll see if I have a picture of it on my phone or not but I have a shot of one of the skeletons of Trainwreck after chop the other night. It's crazy how it grew, almost looks like a ribcage.

Beautiful! Just absolutely Beautiful! :adore:
