Well, looked at my girls under the microscopeand I was about right. Three of the girls are mostly cloudy trichromes, with just a couple amber. This is at the top of the bud, but further down they have no amber. I decided to start harvesting tonight and continue with the rest over the next few days (as much as a week). I pulled just a bit under 100 grams wet this evening. This should dry to about an once. I plan on harvesting at least this much every day until the first 3 plants are down. The 4th plant is short and a little immature but I think given an additional week it should be ready for the chop as well. Here are some pictures (first is a picture of the harvest so far) and the rest are simply pictures of my crop so far. Some good bud pictures in there I think!!.

Finished harvesting girl#1. Total wet wt (trim is in another container, not included in this wt) is 363g (~13oz). Based on past experience this should dry to approximately 3.25 oz (2.6-3.9 oz estimated range). Here are a couple shots of the main cola of this girl (~10" long and 2.5" wide at places) as well as some random pot porn from this grow.

Very Nice budman! 3+ ounces is a good yield. Looks like some fire too.

Thanks Nicholas, I appreciate it. I am very pleased with 3 oz per plant. I don't think I'll get as much from the other 3 girls. Right now based on the first plant I would estimate 2.5 OZ for #2, 2 oz for #4 and 1.5 oz on girl #3 for a total of 9 1/4 oz. Kool beans!!!! Well, only time will tell if my guesstimates are even close. As I harvest, I'll keep a running total on here with the good folks at 420 magazine

Finished harvesting girl #2. She provided me with 315 g (11.25oz) of wet bud which should dry to ~2.8OZ dry (2.25-3.35 oz estimated range,I originally estimated 2.5 OZ for this girl, not bad if i do say so myself). Which brings my total for the 2 girls to 6.05 oz dry (4.84-7.26 oz estimated range). I've got a few pics I'll post later. I'll start harvesting girl #3 later today but girl #4 .... I think I'll wait a week, she doesn't look ready yet.

As promised a couple pics. This is the main cola of girl #2. I can't wait to try her out in a couple weeks! I took a pic of some of my trichrome. Iam impressed with the camera on my phone. . Took this picture about3 inches from the plant, and then blew up a section and cropped it but I can see individual trichromes very well. Never expected that from a cell phone camera.

Finished harvesting girl #3. She provided me with 351 g (12.54oz) of wet bud which should dry to ~3.1 OZ dry (2.5-3.75 oz estimated range,I originally estimated 2.0 OZ for this girl, missed this one by a bit , but I'd rather get more than expected rather than less). Which brings my total for the 3 girls to 9.19 oz dry (7.35 to 11.03 oz estimated range).

The last girl needs a little more time. She should be ready by weeks end. I still only expect maybe 1.5 oz dry from her which should bring the grand total to over 10 oz dry from 4 plants.

All of the trim I have pulled from these plants is drying. I am planning on making an alcohol tincture from it. Any suggestions? advice? or comments?? I've never done this before so I am a newbie here looking for info, read some stuff but always willing to learn from the voice of experience. Thanks for anything you can send my way.

The last of my girls got the chop today. She yielded 332 g (11.82 oz wet) which should yield ~2.36 oz dry. I have modified the estimated yield from what used last time to reflect real data I have collected on the dry weed harvested so far. They exhibited an 80% reduction of weight on drying not my original estimate of 75%. My current best estimated dry weight total is 10.4 oz. This includes direct dry weight measurements for girls 1-3 and an estimate of girl 4 dry weight as 20% of her wet weight.

Now the grow is done, nothing but the smoke report.

Girl 1 smoked good, not a huge amount of flavor but she will get you stoned. Girls 2 and 3 have much more flavor and seem a little stronger than 1. Girl 4 isn't any where near smoking but based on her smell and feel during harvest she will be the best of the bunch. Been a good grow, 10.4oz is outstanding in my opinion. Unless something extraordinary comes along, this grow log is done, follow my next grow log of a blue mystic photoperiod grow (see signature below for link). Take care and keep on growin'

Thanks Grizz, Will do the smoke report in a couple weeks after I get an idea about how the cure goes towards affecting the flavor.
