AK48 Auto In Coco Loco - CFL - 2nd Grow By Paintedbudman

The Girls are 8 weeks old and looking good. I fed and watered them tonight. In my previous feedings the pH was drifting down into the mid 5's so I decided to adjust the pH up by adjusting my pH of my food and water to 6.6-7.0 to help bring up the pH. When I measured the effluent pH it was still down in the mid 5's(maybe a bit higher than the previous feeding) but the TDS was way high. I will watch and see, followed by a significant flushing over the weekend to bring the tds down and the pH up.A flush was coming up soon anyway, i am guessing some of my girls will be ready to be cut in ~ 2 weeks. No more individual pictures until the flush this weekend followed by the final flush but other than that just pictures in the flowering chamber. They are getting too big and awkward to move around any more than I have to. Here are some pictures of the girls and some closer ones of some of their buds. Looking good budman. Your Tuts look totaly different then the two ive got going. Did you do any topping on them?

Grizz, my space is full. It is ~30"x30" and the four plants I have in there have filled all of the space. They look good. I can see the northern lights influences in this strain.

Nicholas, Based on what I've read the Tuts are ak47 related, the AK48 is a different strain entirely with its parentage in jock horror and ice strains. Also looking at the base genetic heritage they look somewhat similar but it is a few generations back. I've done no topping and very little trimming. Just remove the leaves that look like they are struggling or look to be ready to fall off on their own.

Nicholas, not that big of a mistake to make. In looking up info on AK48, I saw several times people saying that the AK48 was simply nirvana's version of AK47 (which is the parent of your Tuts). It may be true that Nirvana was trying to breed something like AK47, I don't know, but they didn't use the same starting point as was used to breed AK47.

Just a quick weekend pot porn pictures. My girls at age 8 1/2 weeks. enjoy, i am looking forward to the day they finish. The buds are puffing up nicely, getting firm and bigger by the day. They have trichromes all over and the are sticky and stinky when touched. I haven't noticed a huge smell except when I have brushed or squeezed he buds but when you do it is indeed a sweet odor.

Thanks Peejy, My girls appreciate the compliments and have been showing trichromes for more than a week but just started budding out thoroughly in the past few days. I have one plant that is about a week behind and another that is short and seems about 2 weeks immature. But I must say, this is my second grow, but these look way better at this stage than the last grow (from what you said, you are about were I was last time) and I thought that one was good. I'm not exactly sure what I did differently except maybe the coco loco acts a little more like hydro than soil and I've heard that hydro is faster. But other than that and just being a little more experienced in watching and adjusting nutes as needed I really haven't changed much that would account for it. I'm guessing 2 weeks till two of them are ready, and the last one will be in week 13 (~4 1'2weeks from now). Boy am I looking forward to that. It should be awesome smoke.

BTW Previously I said I was going to flush the girls this weekend. I have changed my mind, they are growing so well and showing no signs of any nute problems in spite of having high, and I mean very high, TDS readings, that I am going back to my initial plan and to do a full flush on may 1st in preparation of harvest soon afterwards (0.5-3.5 weeks left at that point). Tomorrow will be a regular feeding/watering. I am adding one thing at this point, ~1T of molasses per gallon of feed/water. I will continue this through the end of this grow unless I see an issue.

I didnt know they were making anymore Harry Potter movies. That is awesome. Ive always liked the movies but the books are even better. Books usually put the movies to shame. if you ever need a good book to read check out The Alchemyst by Michael Scott.

I already have it, but have not read it yet. I picked up the entire series as audiobooks recently. Just haven't had time to fit them into my rotation yet. I am currently listening to "the son of the black sword" by larry corriea (spelling isn't always my strong suit).

The new movie comes out this christmas/thanksgiving time and is called "Fantastic beast and wher to find them" It takes place quite a few years before harry potter and follows the adventures of Newt Scamander. Other than that I have been trying not to find out too much. I don't want to spoil the mystery.

I was just getting ready to post this picture Grizz, A fat bud with a lighter for scale.

They are looking great, but the trichromes are still more clear than milky and no amber in site yet. I think I have about 2 weeks to go on 2 or 3 of my girls, and the runt would be 1-2 weeks after that

It's Saturday night pot porn once again. My girls turn 10 weeks old on Wednesday and I am planning on starting the chop this week. But first here are some pictures I took while I was doing my final flush and feed. I took at least on picture of each girl from head to foot and a couple of their growing buds. I apologize for the sideways picture. Didn't edit them before i imported them.

When I took them out for a flush I also gave them a major trim. But yes those are the same plants. I expect to start to harvest in the next week or 2. I think I have 1 that needs at least a couple more weeks,but they are close very close. Gotta get out the microscope and look at the trichromes to make sure but I think a week or 2 should do it.
