Cheese Bomb Organic AKA Edam Bomb

A few pics to show how they are coming along, lower nodes are reaching up and creating new colas and canopy is fairly even. The plant in the middle bottom of the tent dosnt seem effected by ph imbalance (or whatever it is) and is filling out more than the others so i think she could be the keeper when i clone them.

Also the mutant one at the back is going crazy chucking new shoots out from random places like middle of the stem but il take some seperate pics of her when lights are off so they are clearer.

yea soil is trial and error til u get it right. i just grow in straight coco i find it so much easier than soil, once everything is dialed in u rarely run into problems

i wouldnt flip them until u sort out the problems.
Growing fast and looking great!!!

Ordered a ph soil probe, some organic ph down and calibrated my ph meters so i will get on top of this whole ph thing. To be fair plants look really healthy now just the leaves that were originally effected have started to die and dosnt seem to be spreading since ph'ing the water... fingers crossed.

Soil ph is between 6.4 - 6.6 and plants look really nice again with loads of new growth, flowering is near.

Really glad iv bought this little tool as i will now know if its ph causing defeciencies or wether i need to add a little extra of one thing and less guess work = happier plants.

THE MUTANT

So as promised some pictures of the mutant plant, this plant in the last month has topped and trained itself so iv let her grow out and hardly had to tie her down.... this is the original thread with pictures Cheese Bomb mutation

Now one of the colas is going crazy and chucking nodes out left right and centre in random places and the top of the cola isnt one stem it is just a load of new growth all interwined into one (best way i can describe it)

Aha! I've found another!
Take a look at my mutant in my journal!
Very similar :)

Yes brilliant will be good see how they both go in flower, going to be cloning all of mine so will be pretty cool if its passed down to its clones.

Awesome :) I'll be watching to compare your and mine.
I put mine to flower march 15th FYI :)
I'll update pics later today for comparison.

ive had the exact same thing happen to one of my thc bombs.its like 2 stems stuck together. it ended up bunching up like crazy and some of the leaves started to look burnt so i just topped it and it was fine. ill try get a pic of the results. there so bushy now ill have to search through them

So a quick update with pics, Really filled out now and recovered from ph problems as the leaves are a real nice shade of green. The temps are higher than i would like as its been hot here raising ambient temps so may have to go back to 750w for a bit as im hitting 30c lights on.
Will be cloning later and putting into flower so will do a detailed step by step with pictures etc when i get time at the computer.

i topped the weird looking stalk caz it started to grow funny and leaves looked burnt. after i topped it grew much better. the bud formation is great. i put it into flower a week after te rest and it looks a week ahead of the rest. it might be a 7 to 8 week finisher. ill post pics 2moro.

your plants are looking great. glad to see they recovered from the ph problem

They are now on 12/12 but will count day 1 from when i first see flowers. Going to water later with a very light dose of biobizz fish mix-1ml /ltre and maybe some epsom salts as iv read the magnesium helps in flower?
I will start bloom nutes from when i see flowers and ph all my feed to around 6.8. Thanks for listening any advice or little tips for start of flower im all ears. Also a possibility i will trim all lower branches about 10-14 days in.

YO YO YO everyone watching hope your all well...

so last week i took some clones, a few of the bottom stems off each plant. The Pheno hunt has officially began so lets hope i have some luck and they all root.

As you can have probably seen from my recent pictures i have marked my plants 1-6 with tip ex and have marked all the cutting with corresponding numbers so i no which mother they have all come from.

The clones have all been trimmed up to top few leaves and put in about an inch of water sealed and put into the fridge.

I have been reading up on putting clones in stasis in fridge and apparently they can last up to 8 weeks maybe longer in the cold conditions so fingers crossed as this will save me a fortune on seeds and can root half way through flower so i will have plenty of room in my veg/propagation tent. The tent is 60x60x90 and can be lay on its side to be 60x90x60, got a 125wcfl in there, with a small fan with no exhaust or filters.... just the basics.

Got some root riot plugs with clonex gel and formulex ordered so just got to be patient now and will most likely try to root them around the 4 week mark into 12/12.

Thanks for listening people and i hope all your grows are running healthy and smoothly.

what a great idea. really hope it works. you would think the colder conditions wouldn't be good but i guess as long as it doesn't drop below freezing u should be fine.

have you though about adding silica to your grow. i swear by it for plant health, thick stems and bigger buds. its pretty much the only additive i use, plus some seaweed in veg.

i know i promised u a pic of the mutant stem, but i recently put a cage around it and its been a pain trying to get my hand and camera inside the plant to get a shot. 2moro ill get some help to remove the cage so i should have it then.

Iv heard about silica but not really read much into it i might have to get some for the next grow, i have some alg a mic by biobizz that is cold pressed seaweed but heard a few horror stories about it killing plants so im scared use it. I have top max and molasses though for addiditives in flower.

Would be cool see but dont put your self out on my behalf.

i really think silica is so underrated. it is the most abundant element in the world besides oxygen. makes up more then 50% of the earths soil. that alone should say enough. ive noticed since i use it i barely get any pests and if i do its just a few. never an infestation. if your growing in soil you could use volcanic dust its got loads of silica plus lots of trace elements.

here is the cheese at 5 weeks in. its flowering much slower then the thc and widow bombs so it might be a 10 11 weeker

couldn't get a shot of mutant stem caz of the cage. we did try though but while removing the cage we snapped a couple branches, but this is the actual plant

this is a thc bomb the resin production is the most ive ever seen
