Cheese Bomb Organic AKA Edam Bomb

i really think silica is so underrated. it is the most abundant element in the world besides oxygen. makes up more then 50% of the earths soil. that alone should say enough. ive noticed since i use it i barely get any pests and if i do its just a few. never an infestation. if your growing in soil you could use volcanic dust its got loads of silica plus lots of trace elements.

here is the cheese at 5 weeks in. its flowering much slower then the thc and widow bombs so it might be a 10 11 weeker

Mate them plants are humungous, what are you feeding them?

Iv looked into silica and does really sound like something every grower should use, going to get some for next grow, do you use it from start to finish?

i grow in straight coco and make my own nutes, its same as the store bought canna nutes just 10% of the price. in veg i use a seaweed and silica i use from clone/seed to last week of flower. i also use a bacteria like great white.

the most important factors in growing large plants are long veg time, light intensity and root mass. but coco does veg twice as fast as soil.

Not much to update to be fair, plants still healthy, im feeding every 3 days with just epsom salts 1tsp/gallon and fish mix 2ml/per litre, will cut out epsom salts now and slowly introduce bloom and topmax as iv started to see the first lot of little white hairs. Still keeping my water around 6.8 going in and soil ph levels are hovering around 6.6 mark.

Had a few issues with temperature reaching 30-31c so iv knocked the ballast back down to 750w, plants didnt seem to bothered with the temps only slight signs of heat stress but with weather getting nicer and ambient temps getting warmer i thought it would be easier to flick it down a notch as they would of prob reached over 32c, dont think i would of minded as much in veg but iv heard high temps in flower can effect bud growth and potency.

Thought i would add a little comparrison from when i first transplanted them till now.

:party:WWWOOOAAHHHH 98F......

Ambient temps are 26c which has really raised the heat inside the tent within only 2 hours of lights being on.
Flicked ballast to 750w opened a lower cable vent for extra intake and left tent open until temps drop.
May have too invest in a 8" thermostatic fan in the future as were only in spring and summers going cripple the grow with heat.

Have a good weekend people.

90% sure the leaf tips bent was from the heat stress. They seem fine though which is good.
Gave them 1ml of bloom and topmax today, next watering just plain water then going to start increasing dosages each week. Flowers coming on nicely will get some pics over the weekend and some pics of the polyploid. I have big hopes for her haha.

Enjoy the bank holiday folks.

hey everyone hope you had a nice peacful weekend, not much to update luckily as my screen is broke on my fone so cant get any pictures for a few days...
I will cloning this weekend though and the cuttings in stasis look as fresh as when I cut them so fingers crossed.
Back soon.

So finally got round to an update and all is well.

Day 27 12/12
Day 20 Flower

Im up to 2ml of bloom and 1ml top max and 1ml fish mix with just water and epsom salts every 3rd or 4th watering, Next feed will be 3ml of bloom and 2ml of fish mix and 1ml topmax.

Really coming on now some stems are bending under their own weight so i have tied a few up and a lot of lower fan leaves dropping under the canopy.

The mutant/polyploid has gone crazy and is just a huge clump of bud... more on polyploids here - Post your Polyploids
