Doctor Trevor's Dark Angel Journal: Velma & Daphne

Last night, I watered Velma. She took about a gallon of ph modified water before I noticed runoff.

Tonight, I watered Daphne. She took about three and a half quarts before I saw runoff. I thought this a little odd as she has the bigger cloth pot. She has apparently outgrown her pot, even more so than Velma, who is in the smaller pot.

I noticed some exposed roots very close to Daphne's trunk. Should I cover these roots so the lights don't burn them? A little bit of dirt, perhaps.

Both plants are now on a feed/water schedule of every three days.

I wouldn't worry about them- they've turned green from the light, so it's not going to kill them- they're actually photosynthesizing a little bit now.
Good looking plant-she's getting close!

Today, I fed Velma six quarts of nute solution, consisting of the following nutes; the amounts listed are for four quarts of solution; I mixed up a total of six. Runoff began at just under the four quart mark though there wasn't that much of it.

1 tablespoons of Big Bloom;
2 teaspoons of Tiger Bloom;
2 tablespoons of Terpinator;
.25 teaspoon of Cha-Ching;
.33 teaspoon of Sensei Cal Mag;
some GH pH Down to bring the pH down to about 6.20.

The trichomes are beginning to brown!! The trichomes are beginning to brown!!

I noticed some of the leaves were turning purple. Is this from using Terpinator?

Tonight, I watered Velma. She took about three and a half quarts before there was run off. Her soil isn't absorbing much anymore. She looks good, though.

Cause you gre her so well she can hardly hold her buds up. Just beautiful.
I'm afraid her branches will break as she gets closer to the harvest.

Her branches need more space than my tent allows.

Tonight, I watered Daphne with six quarts of pH adjusted water. Runoff began after four quarts.

I am beginning to think that I will have to water/feed every other day (as opposed to every three days).

Daphne is suffering from nitrogen toxicity. I flushed with fifteen gallons of water and some Sledgehammer.

Thanks to Nunyabiz for helping me in identifying the problem.

Tonight was feeding time for Velma.

I prepared six quarts of nute solution using the following:

1.5 tablespoons of Big Bloom;
3 teaspoons of Tiger Bloom;
3 tablespoons of Terpinator;
I forgot the CalMag (whoops)
some GH pH Down to bring the pH down to about 6.20.

Runoff began about the four quart mark.

I noticed some of Velma's leaves were yellowing. This seems to happen at this stage with the Dark Angel strain.

Tonight I fed Daphne.

I prepared six quarts of nute solution using the following:

1.5 tablespoons of Big Bloom;
2.5 teaspoons of Tiger Bloom;
3 tablespoons of Terpinator;
.375 of CalMag;
some GH pH Down to bring the pH down to about 6.20.

Runoff began about the five quart mark.

Some of the palm leaves are turning purple. My understanding is that this is a phosphorus deficiency. I start her on the Cha-Ching at her next feeding, though I will probably give her half a dose with her next watering on Monday.

and some for some wonderful photographs!

Tonight I watered Velma. The water was pH adjusted and I added an eighth of a teaspoon of Cha-Ching. This is due to the yellowing leaves that this strain always gives me at this time.

Tonight I watered Daphne. The six quarts of water was pH adjusted and I added a quarter tsp of a teaspoon of CalMag Xtra ( for The purple and withering leaves. Runoff began at four quarts.

Tonight, I feed Velma... and they say raising a teenager is bad!

1.5 tablespoons of Big Bloom;
2.5 teaspoons of Tiger Bloom;
3 tablespoons of Terpinator;
.375 of CalMag;
3/8 teaspoon Cha-Ching
some GH pH Down to bring the pH down to about 6.20.

Some yellowing leaves. A few dark ones. Overall, we're good.

And, today, I rolled seventy or eighty joints for a local event.

Tonight I flushed Velma. Instead of using Sledgehammer, like I always do, I used Botanicare Clearex; the grow store was out of Sledgehammer. I used 18 teaspoons of Clearex in 9 gallons. All seemed to go well.

Tomorrow night is Daphne's turn.
