Finally, A Second Grow Journal!

No luck from the auto in Coco yet, day 3 I think

DK looking a little over-watered after the emergency MC, but looks like it stopped the K deficiency

Twistys still twistin
IMG_20191116_121722.jpg

The big girls new growth caught some of the deficiency, the next node should be ok, just in time for topping if she recovers lol
IMG_20191116_121724.jpg

Also noticed something, the first set of leaves that on the DK that come out with the cotyledon are growing extra fingers. They are now actually serrated leaves with three fingers. Is this normal? I'll get a picture later

I thought this twist would be limited to the seedling phase but she's still going. Should I be worried?

New growth on RC1 looks decent, tips are slightly burnt. I didn't think MegaCrop at 2.1g a gallon would do this

DK is definitely the earliest if the bunch. Is this dark spotting nitrogen tox?

Also, I know it's early but a buddy grew these DK and they showed sex at day 21. I'm at day 15 give or take... Does this look female? If not I need to drop more beans ASAP to fill my tent

And to end on a good note, DK is nearly ready for a transplant, hopefully this one goes smoothly. I'm open to suggestions!

Watts are easily measured, but meaningless unless someone is very familiar with your light. Do you have a light meter, or the app for your cell phone? If so, take a measurement at the canopy level. Divide by 67 and you'll have a close approximation of the PAR level. Emilya has a good chart that shows the appropriate light levels at the various stages of growth. Grab that, and do a comparison.

The plants are not developed enough to accurately determine their sex.

Thanks salt, hard looks to be sitting right around 3:05 now. Seems pretty good for a seedling, but I don't know what it was at before

Now you'll have a good idea of how much light your plants receive. That's a real plus, as you can set your light to the levels you find work best for you. Just be aware that it's not the same for all strains. Some like more light than others. I find indicas, and those leaning that way, like less light than sativas.

2 sativa's and a sativa Dom hybrid atm. While I've got you here, what strength MC would you recommend on this sized girls? 3g/gallon?

Closer look at the yellow tips coming in and I'm thinking it's the same K deficiency. Upped the MC to 3 grams a gallon and will give her her first watering of it in a day or 2 when she's dry. Hopefully last watering before she goes into her 3 gallon.

Nutes wise, twisty is ok but she also has more water in the pot than her sister. When she finishes that in a few days I'll try her on 3g/gal as well.
IMG_20191119_114604.jpg

DK is the healthiest. She got 3g/gal today but a solo only takes so much water... Up pot coming this week to 3 gallon. What are your guy's takes on the deficiency she's showing? Possibly K deficiency just starting they MC should take care of buy she also has dark in-between the veins
IMG_20191119_114608.jpg

With the coast of Maine soil I have, it's advertised as water only if you're in a 15 gallon. If I do a 3 gallon will I have to go light on the MC for a week or two until the soils nutes are depleted?

With this grow I planned on having more than three plants to fill my tent. Since my DK is a regular seed and might be a guy I might only end up with two so I think I will be doing 5 gallons instead of any three gallons.
is it advisable to go to three and transplant to five, or just go straight into the five?

DK was transferred to a 3 gallon filled with coast of Maine Stonington blend that was moistened but not fully watered with MC at 3g/gallon. Still trying to tease the roots out. Also wet the top soil a bit and focused on the sides per emilyas great breakdown. Waiting until Friday/Saturday to transplant the other two as they're still holding some water
IMG_20191121_003218.jpg

Deficiency looks better but will be upping to 3.5 grams next watering I believe.

Is this darkness some other deficiency or just the onset of the same potassium deficiency?

Nice bounce back by the RC1! MegaCrop making things happen
IMG_20191122_144237.jpg

Twisty is doing well but ugly lol she's my favorite I think.
IMG_20191122_144241.jpg

Think the DK was root bound a bit, in a 3 gallon now so she'll be ok. Fed at 3g/gallon and into the hot soil, hopefully not too hot for her. Will up to 4g if this deficiency persists...
IMG_20191122_144234.jpg

I keep calling DK her but it might be a guy, hope they don't grow up confused

IMG_20191122_221037.jpg

Got the other 3 gallons ready, hopefully transplanting tomorrow as well as topping RC1 for the quadlife. I wet the soil down with MC@4g/gallon

IMG_20191122_220901.jpg

Stripped her first two nodes today in anticipation. Will be trying to get a clone off the top.

For the clone I put the coast of Maine soil in the bottom half of a solo cup with Coco coir on top. Lightly watered with 1g/gallon MC
IMG_20191122_221106.jpg

Twisty had the most solid root structure by far, let's see how she likes the big girl pot.
IMG_20191123_200320.jpg

Welcome to the quadlife? #quadsquad
I opted to remove one more of the lower nodes so the first leaf above the cotyledon and the 2 nodes above that were stripped as the leaves were much less healthy .
IMG_20191123_201101.jpg

Not too optimistic about getting a clone from a top but fingers crossed
