^^^first off thanks guys for the encouragement and comments^^^
ive been runnin out of town back and forth just got back from San Diego and went to Seattle yesterday and now im home finally... my clones had a little mishap of underwatering while i was away but look a lil better after being watered... the same thing with the big plants they had looked a lil weathered after my awayness but the look a bit better after their watering monday... im gonna have to start watering them like every 2 days or so now cuz the pots are light as a feather after about 3 days and at this point i want them to get all they need.... the buds are looking hella juicy now...im pretty much heading down that home stretch of the last month of this journey and im over excited...
and LAB RAT i sure hope im on my way to being a "master grower"...

Heyhey Zills just caught up on your awsome grow. Mad props and +reps for your kick-@ss journal. Must be exciting getting closer to harvest. I have a long way to go but hopefully My ladies will look as good as yours do. I am also doing LST by the way. Seems like a really good method for those with small numbers of plants. Anyways, good job man keep going your almost there!!!

so i took a couple pics and trimmed off some of the lower fan leaves that were dying off anyway... i see that 4 plants was too many for the space because its pretty cramped and theres no way to get light to the lower part of the plants which sucks but hey u live and learn although i was warned by munki early on that that may have been the case and it is......but im still going... im kinda excited to do my scrog grow next because i think ill use my light to its full potential...

ive got a question about DWC...if i make a bubbler and do scrog how do i change the water? and how do i add nutes to the bucket?...
i know those may be pretty dumb questions but i cant seem to find the answer and believe me ive looked and even posted it in the hydro section with no luck so far....

Sorry, cant help you on the DWC water change but I would think you just remove the top containing the plants and change out the water. Just a thought. And I am sure someone with more experience that I will chime in and give you a more informed answer..

This was one of my setbacks when I went to switcth to a dwc system..my thought process on this is as follows

1. container needs to be off floor level
2. have to have drain installed
3. need long funnel of some sort to add nutes

I might try a dwc setup in the future when I have more space and patience. besides I really like playing with dirt.

That's a pretty simple one. I just use a siphon or a drill pump. A drill pump just fits on the end of a drill and has fittings for a standard garden hose. They cost about $10-$15. Just cover the end that goes in the tub with some window screen or almost anything that will keep the roots from being sucked up the hose. This is best as you can pump the nutes up if you need to instead of relying on gravity to empty the tub. You know how a siphon works. Don't worry if you get a mouth full of nutes just reverse the advice I give my wife. Don't swallow! You can also buy a siphon hose that has a squeeze bulb on it to get the siphon started for $10. That's why I have a small, 2" or so, hole in one end of the lid for adding nutes etc and draining the tub. I do not recommend making any holes below the water line as it will end up leaking and causing no end of grief. A turkey baster or syringe with some tubing attached can be used to withdraw samples for testing or adding nutes. The syringe is best 'cause it allows precise measurements of nutes, peroxide etc. Just suck the sol'n in and out of the syringe a couple of times to clean out whatever was in there last before taking samples for testing. I have a nice 30ml glass one that is smooth as silk but use a 60 ml disposable as well. A plastic funnel with a long neck is great for adding water. Another improvement that I thought of recently is when the tub is topped up to the max level drill a small hole right at the water line. Then while topping up just go slowly as you think it's almost full then a little bit of water will dribble out of the hole when full. A very small hole or one that's just the right size to plug with something like a golf tee.

If you look at the pic below you'll see that my tubs are sitting on homemade dollies. Just a piece of plywood with casters on the bottom. First time I did that before and the best improvement I've made to my system in years. I had been wondering how to fit my tubs for ScroG and eureka! If the dolly is made a little bigger than the top of the tub, uprights for the frame to hold the screen can be attached to the dolly. This is not a luxury but a necessity with the big tubs, 120 lbs, and my bad back. Especially helpful with a ScroG setup as you'll be wanting to get around the screen to tie down branches at all sorts of angles. It would help to have a spare tub with your new nutes ready to go so you can refill right away. It won't hurt anything for the roots to be without water for a while but not a few hours or overnight.

surprising to me there really is no super smell except in the morning when the fans first kick on.. i was just thinkin bout that this morning likw wow i was expecting a super stinch by this time...but hey they have at least another month to get tha stink on em so we a see...

that sounds like thats a good thing to try so with the funnel do i add the nutes into the water i put in or do i add them straight into the bucket?

hey wzup guys im gonna do a quick update wit pics ive been burnt out workin graveyards stockin freddies wit food for ur tummy if ur in the nw u know what store im talkin bout.... but yea the girls are doin good...im shocked tho that the smell is really minimal even when smellin them up close but they are sticky as hell...im thinkin bout lettin em flower til the 70 day mark which a be here pretty quick now that im busy..lol anyways here they go.........

i think that may be the answer because my friend told me that my duffle bag smelled like happy trees!!! so that may be the case im just used to the essence
