First Grow. Phototron box.

ms fox. thank you. i know theyre getting big. i knew before hand but i can already tell size will be a big issue evem with one. im contemplating building a 4 plant DWC system. and vegging with CFLs, and finding a HPS to flower with. something. idk. well see what happens.

thanks Pan4. they are sooo cute aren't they. haha. thanks for the rep. and i cant wait until they get bigger. everyday they grow more. i just want to see them at about a foot and bushy as fuck. lol.

and so here we are day 12. i think theyre looking quite nice. ever since ive lowered the light to about an inch above theyre pretty much stopped stretching out and the nodes have been starting close together. either way heres a pic update.

I think that is a phototron 2. You will not get a pound per grow. More like 2 oz's at best. If you want advice and I am no expert but I do have 3 phototrons, 1 phototron 2 and 2 photoron 9's. I recommend that you follow the phototron directions though don't buy there nutes, they are too expensive. I use fox farm oroganic nutes. I use the spaghnum moss but start the seedlings in soil. I also use the phototron automatic water systems coupled to 1 gallon milk jugs. I also purchased the double sl-12 light fixture for use once the plant get to about 6 inches tall. I only grow one plant per phototron. Hope that I am not ruining your day. If I can help, let me know.

Wow! You're right about the difference in growth in just one day! Sweet! I'm not sure I would recommend you taking them out of the soil and putting them into the DWC... It will be too hard to get all of the soil off the roots. If you need to take a couple out, I would recommend them staying in soil. ;-) An HPS to flower would be great!

thanks. yeah i have the paper feeding schedule that was at the hydro shop. but did you follow it the same way. just varying strength?

yeah its the smaller tron. and i dont have direct instructions. i have been to their website and also have been given ideas from other tron owner. i already knew i wouldnt get a pound. i was told by the person who owned it before me claimed they did. either way. its only my first grow. to get any crop id be happy.

yeah i know. im already in process of building the DWC. i will sprout new seeds when i get that going. im also buying my buddys extra light its only a 250w MH but i figure itll help me start and veg hopefully before they need to flower ill be able to get at least a 400w HPS. idk. well see. i just found out im gonna be loosing my job in august. figures, thats the auto industry for ya. but either way im trying to buy everything to get growing for some extra cash flowing, and some extra green smoking.

ok so heres a new update. theyre still going strong. i had an issue with the lights falling and burned all four plants. this is why i havent updated. i was trying to see if they would be ok, and well damn theyre all looking nice besides one, which still doesnt look to bad. i trimmed all the crispy parts off. anyways, they all got kinda pushed down, so i figured id start LSTing them. i havent bought string and clips yet. this weekend they will come. in stead i used skewers. they seem to work farely well at least for now.

Got a little ebb n flow going inside the 'tron. The unit I have is larger than yours (hmm that didn't sound quite right ), but you may be able to get a little bucket in there. I've heard of people doing a DWC in the 'tron but I figure the nute change would be a pain and the solution sould get hotter than it needs to.

for sure ill check out your link. and no thats through the slide. all the u-tubes are fine. what fell was the cfls that are hanging. but that wont happen again.
