You are concerned with the rate that your grow is moving at?
Are you using the same light wattage as the author and or did see more have early flowering strains?

Playafly: I'm using my LG vu phone camera, edited/cropped with dell image expert. I'm as surprised by how good they came out as well.
falcore: Not concerned with grow rate anymore. The strain in the book was Mango. It just has taught me that different strains are going to take longer/shorter than others. I have 4, 150w equivilant soft white going right now. Going to add a 300w equivilant this weekend for just the main cola and use the others for side lighting.

On a side note... since I'm a 'puter nerd, there's a fairly new image manipulation package out there. It's a complete PhotoShop rip off... looks and feels exactly like PhotoShop. It's called "Gimp".... and it's FREE! Crank up your favorite search engine and search for Gimp... if your a photo-phile, you'll be impressed.
