First Time Grower

hey guys sorry been so busy havent had time to get on here at all!!update the girls are doing great will be 8 weeks on sunday so nearly time to chop ive been flushing now for 2 weeks but i have been using mollasses with the flush not sure if thats right to do or not,the ladies smell awesome really sweet like a candy shop they have super sticky buds had a quick taster the other day and its really smooth definitly got the bubblegum hint there for sure was quite a buzzy high followed by a nice floaty feeling pretty darn good i would say!anyway heres some bud porn for you guys ...

so now that im coming to the end of this grow im nearly ready for the next this time round im firstly getting a larger tent still going to use soil as i think ive done fairly well with this one but rather than expensive nutes im going to use osmocote plus slow release fert ive seen one grow on here done with it and he had better results than the more expensive nutes so im going to give it ago and also im going 12/12 right from the start with this in mind im going to be growing alot more plants as the footprint should be alot smaller, so heres the line up...Barneys Farm Pineapple Chunk feminised x10, Barneys Farm Red Cherry Berry Feminized x5 plus i get for free..UFO# 1 Dinafem Seeds Roadrunner Automatic Feminized,UFO#3 Dinafem Seeds Critical ,UFO#4 Dinafem Seeds Blue Widow,UFO#2 Dinafem Seeds Haze, so bit of a mix up but really looking forward to trying something new not sure if i will be doing anything with these apart from let them do there own thing,and i think a small upgrade in lighting will be in order too anyways will start a new journal as soon as its all set up ready to go

they certainly did charlie! and they seem to be filling out more and more each day im keeping a eye on the trichs as dont want to harvest to early at the moment there mostly cloudy so just waiting for some amber to turn up the chop chop,def noticed a difference after i added the mollasses they seem to love it and its much cheaper than any boost nutes which more than likely are the same thing anyway ,thanks for dropping in man

thanks dude but have to say i only used them for veg then switched to a 400w hps for flower all due respect though the cfls worked great for veg and for the temps was excellent and im sure they would of worked fine for flowering to but i did see a huge difference in growth with the hps so it was nice to see how usage of light can significantly help with growth thanks for the reps man

Well there not ready just yet my man got cloudy trichs but just a couple of amber so not there just yet think by sunday which will be 8 weeks they should be done who knows might be another few days after that give them a little more time for some more filling out thanks for the kind words everyone... Not bad for my first grow I think.... Roll on the next I say

I like to harvest when there all cloudy, maybe 10 15 percent amber. Different Highs for Different Guys. :icon_cool

Excellent work Langa! Very impressive buddage, great pics.

If they are mostly indica, go more towards 50/50 (cloudy/amber) Most folks (including myself) pic too early and always wish they had waited just a bit more. When you think they're ready, wait a week longer (or at least a few days). Sativa dominant strains are better picked clear/cloudy. An indica picked early will not give you a 'sativa' high, just less potent.

thanks for the kind words guys ....well today is the official date of the end of my grow i chopped the ladies this evening and boy do they smell good real sweet shop smell super sticky too not sure how to get the damn nectar off my fingers!!not sure of the correct wet weight as im hanging the whole plant upside down to dry but did weigh them still i know alot of weight will come off due to stems and drying but whole weight all 4 plants was 49 oz will give the correct weight as soon as they are dry and stem off, want to thank everyone for comments and helping me through this first grow so many thanks guys the help and comments were much appreciated hope i can return the favour

i shall tell you now hypo ive got barneys farm pineapple chunk, red berry cherry and a couple of free seeds im not sure of got 5 of each so slightly bigger grow this time round should be good!will be starting them off shortly ...cant wait!!

49 oz!! Damn that's alot of weight for a 400w. Did you use cfl with the hps? Im guessing dry weight once trimmed and stems gone: 9 oz. Just gussing

I totally agree Woodsman,I will let my Blue Widow clones go a little longer because they are mainly indica(fat dark leaves). It's tough to judge sometimes with all the hybrids (indica/sativa) strains out there. With my bigger plant, she has more sativa traits, so she will go more cloudy few amber. The smaller seed plant has both characteristics, I usually wait for the swelling, then go another 5-7 days. I will let the microscope do all the work.

well i will be over the moon if im anywhere near that figure for sure,well i had a smoke off the scissor resin last night and my word its something elsefirst initial hit was kinda mellow then i couldnt stop laughing at what i dont know i was on my own then went kinda headrushy was a great buzz im def going to try and make some hash off the rest of the off cuts

well its finally dried going to jar it up later got a final weight of just under 8 oscars! not a bad effort for a first grow,im more than happy with that!well i think that concludes my first grow thanks to everyone who joined me on the journey,my next grow will be starting within the next week or so ...cant wait lets hope it goes as good as this one at least i have something to bat this time round
