The smoke really has been fantastic especially after getting the jars that cured longer. It’s a very nice body high and makes eating a very urgent necessity.
Pressed some sift that came from the taller more sativa pheno. Trimmed and jarred the best tops. Slowly freezing and sifting the lowers and remaining trim.

The tall hazy pheno is potent. I Sifted and pressed the trim… too intense for most

Black Sugar 1&2 Second dry sift press. 90 micron 170 Fahrenheit max, 20 minutes increasing pressure.
Bag preheated with the plates.

A 20 minute press though??? I would go crazy standing there for that long! I thought I was doing good pressing for 200 seconds.
heck, it might be decarbed after that much time on the plates.I haven't pressed alot of hash-rosin, do you press it that long and slow to prevent a blowout? Are you using ice water or dry ice to sift it?
Well maybe 20 is an exaggeration a touch.
I take a long time to increase pressure to max so the low micron bag doesn’t blow out. I allow the bag to preheat under minimal pressure then I slowly increase as it starts to flow. I get pressure then lean the press over the catch mat then turn off the heat and let it sit. Last night I took a shower while after I turned it off. I then re pressed the bag and got quality returns from that also. Main issue is storage. Need to get some silicone containers. The glass ones I have are not the best.

I wish I could remember where, but I just read that silicone degrades the THC. I have both. Not sure what to use now. Have you ever noticed the rosin coming out dry? I mean the material left in the bag. I have noticed that if I press it twice, the viscosity of the rosin changes, and you can't collect it the usual way. It just stays too sticky even when I chill everything..
Yes. I did notice that. I wonder if it a heating/cooling tempering cycle or something. Definitely more difficult to handle.

I think you are right about the heating and cooling. I have had it before when I was pressing with a hot bottle to make temple balls. It melted the first time, but it didn't look right to me, so I pressed again. It all turned to powder.
