Buddy day 90. She's been in flower for about a month. I really hope she starts bulking up so I can harvest something that actually resembles a nug. Based on other journals and the fact that I'm not a fan of harvesting early, I'd say I can still feed her for another couple of weeks. Any input would be appreciated.
Beyonce day 18. Transplanted her to a bigger pot. Not sure exactly how big it is... about a gallon. It's the biggest I had available at the time. Next time I water her, she'll be getting veg nutes at 1/4 strength and I'll work my way up.
Skittle day 11.
Sam day 10.
Unfortunately, Vertigo didn't make it, possibly due to some heavy handed watering. She will be missed.
On a side note: When do you start feeding your plants? I'm using BAC organic nutes and their nute schedules says to start feeding on day 1. It sounds like way too much... I've always started feeding lightly after the first couple of sets of leaves come in or the first round leaves (forgot the name) start to dry out.
You are right I start with water only for a couple of days, then third strength nutes, then recommended schedule. But I am in FFOF soil augmented with worm castings and bat guano and don't feed my outside girls a lot of bottled nutes.
Just letting you know I haven't given up yet. Didn't feel like taking pics, so I'll be doing that tomorrow.
Buddy day 97. At her old age she's still looking very alive, but I found and plucked a couple of rogue nanners. Buds haven't grown much, I added a bit of PK 13-14 to her normal flower nutes and triches are still clear/milky. She doesn't smell a lot, but the smell is very sweet and fruity, like blueberries.
Beyonce day 25. Not much to say, she's looking healthy and I think she's growing at an OK speed.
Skittle day 18. She's an odd one. The first leaves have taken on a bunny ear type of shape and the new growth is coming in kinda sideways. Don't know if it's just genetics or something I did.
Sam day 17. Took it out of the greenhouse because I think it might've been a bit too toasty for it in there. The leaves were curling. Probably caused it some stress.
ALRIGHT CHAMP GLAD TO SEE YOUR STILL IN THE GAME AND WITH SOME NEW LADIES. IM SO DAMN CURIOUS TO SEE WHAT BUDDY GIVES YA, WHAT A SAVAGE SHE IS JUST GRUNTED THROUGH THE ELEMENTS AND SURVIVED!!! EVEN IF YOU ONLY GET TWO HITS FROM HER WHAT A GREAT TWO HITS IT WILL BE!! AND SO FAR BEYONCE AND SKITTLES LOOK GOOD, SO IM HERE FOR THE PARTY.....WHERES THE COLD ONES?
I'm back after a few days out of town. Here's the update:
Buddy day 107. Looks like the few buds she has are swelling up and there are a lot more milky triches. The plan is to harvest in about 10 days, after flushing and letting her dry out a bit.
Beyonce day 35. I saw her first preflower forming. I'm going to start ponytailing her so her lower branches don't end up like Buddy's.
Skittle day 28. She's supposed to be sativa dominant, but her leaves say different. A pheno thing I guess? I'm waiting for the next set of leaves to come in, because up to now they're all looking pretty weird.
Sam day 27. Looks like it's coming out of shock, but also has some weird looking growth.
In case anyone is wondering, the girls and I are still alive. I've been really busy and the weather has been terrible. Not much to update... Buddy will be getting chopped soon and I did a bit of a hack job on Beyonce as a quick solution to some bugs that messed a few of her leaves up. The other 2 are growing slowly but surely and will be transplanted to bigger pots relatively soon.
Quick update while I take a break from work.
A lot has happened since you last heard from Heraldo and his girls. A lot of "lucky" accidents.
Buddy: chopped her. Didn't bother weighing since it was a total bust. I'm guessing It's around 2g dry. Tasted a bit last night and I wasn't too pleased. The high was nice, definetly on the sativa side, but the flavor was lacking. Hopefully it'll have improved after a longer cure. I left a couple bottom nugs growing to experiment with. I'm feeding it Rippen, which is supposed to make the plant finish flowering. I'm hoping it'll speed up the process to get rhodelization going. Results pending. No pics for now.
Beyonce: day 58 for her. Once again she proved she's a survivor. Left town for a couple of days and came back to a slumped over Beyonce due to dry soil. She started feeling better after a good watering. I left her leaning diagonally on a cut up bottle for support. The good thing is the bottom nugs are getting a lot more light.
Skittle: day 51. Some asshole bird started nipping at her and pretty much chopped her in half. I took the top half to see if I could clone it. Not sure if it's going to work out. I also made a scarecrow, which seems to be working, but I forgot to take a pic.
The bottom half is making a good recovery. There's some odd growth and deformities. Transplanted to a bigger pot and did some LST. I've got high hopes for this one.
Ultraviolet: planted another auto, Ultraviolet. Haven't named her yet. She's 5 days old.
That's all I believe. Hopefully I'll be a bit more active on here in the near future.
Hello, just wanted to share from my own experience, that the dark purple you see has NOTHING to do with being to cold,,those are just kick ass genetics, trust me,yes, cold weather does change the color. The seedling is so packed With great genetics and enough nutrients already in it to last at least 7 to 15 days..I was flipping out for a couple weeks, after reading about to much BLEACH or COLD weather is what makes them turn purple, red,or brown,,when their seedlings,so I almost killed them by changing something vital that never needed to be changed in the first place,HAPPY GROWING..ps.not all strains. Have those colors when their seedlings, that does not mean their not Great genetics, some strains are so pure, mostly sativa strains,,thay have NO color.
