Since I increased the light, I am pulling fewer and fewer balls... hmmm maybe not enough light it is what caused it to go hermie???

Morning ball check resulted in 4 balls removed on the hermie. It isn't producing the balls as fast as it was before the light change.

The plants enjoyed last night's full flush with water only. Hermie must have used up a lot cause the soil is just damp again. Bud on a stick has about a 1 and a half inch cola on top, and the cola's beneath her are almost caught up to where the top started budding. I moved some lights around last night, I have one of the 100 watters aimed at bud on a stick's lower branches. I pushed hermie back into the other three lights next to bud on a stick. Bud on a stick is still happy with the flush I gave her last night. Soil is wet, but not soaking.

I've decided that I am going to buy some White Widow, and AK 47 seeds from a seed dealer. My dispensary has them, and I can tell you, that they both are one of the longest lasting forms of relief for me. A little goes a LONG way in my case. So I think that's going to be my dream grow for the future. I still have some Pretendakind seeds, but I want to get the feminized AK and WW.

I'm also wondering about the molasses. I HATE the taste/smell of molasses, so I'm wondering, if I can use a fruit juice diluted in water for flushing near harvest. Anyone ever try that???

Afternoon and evening check resulted in 2 balls. I think the improved lights are definitely helping now.

The plants are starting to smell really good!

I think I'll do a photo shoot this weekend. I'm going to try to get better pics of the trichs on the main cola of my female. The growth is noticeable daily!

I saw them earlier, but didn't post. Was going to post something later, but um, took a couple pulls off my white widow and um... you know... LOL

It's dudette, but it's all good.

I need to clean my closet. Put winter shit away, pull summer shit out. As soon as I am done with that, I think I can get my cam to zoom in and stay focused on the trichs. I use a tripod, but my cam tries to autofocus, and I end up taking a lot of bad pics before I get the right one. All my summer stuff is in boxes on the floor where I can put the tripod LOL. Generally move stuff around to maximize my space.

It has taken me forever to get my camera dialed in just right to take great close up pics and I'm still not 100% at it! My camera is kind of old as well its a canon powershot s2 IS, 5 megapixel.

It's no biggee, I'm the son my father always wanted None of my brothers wanted to help dad with the house stuff, and car fixing stuff, so I was right there with him. Most of my friends are guys. Cause I am just not into all that girlie stuff...

Got the closet partially cleaned out, and deballed hermie. Only 1 ball this am!! Then I got the tripod set up in the closet, and was getting ready to take pics when the camera battery died. So it's charging up now, should be done in a few hours.

My cam is a Sony DSC-H50. It has 9.1 Megapixels, and 15x zoom. It also shoots in HD, and makes HD Movies. I just can't figure out how to tell it to zoom and focus on the bud shots. It has a 3 inch display on the back, and it tends to autofocus on things I don't want in the pic. I'm gonna have to RTFM (Read the Fucking Manual) to find out how to pull tight close ups...

I just drooled on my self a bit.. The auto focus BS is a Sony flaw they ignore to fix... which is their only down fall. But once you figure out that camera, oh the photo's you'll take!!!

I tell ya something. Even though the auto focus is a pain in the ass sometimes, the camera also has super steady shot and can take in focus pics from the car doing 80! So it has it's good points and bad points. Can you post non 420 related stuff like a random pic of a location you took on vacation here?

I really feel like ASS today. Had food poisoning last week from a cheese danish, OMG. I WILL NEVER EAT A CHEESE DANISH EVER AGAIN. I'm still not 100 % and it's been almost a week. So either the food poisoning is at work, or my iron levels are up again. Probably the latter, but I don't want to be poked 6 painful times for them to screw up and have to start all over again... I wish there was an easier way to do this, but I have no insurance. Can't get insurance for a price I can afford, so I have to rate how bad I want to spend 100 bucks to see the doc and or any meds she prescribes. If it's antibiotics, forget about it, I am allergic to the cheap one, and the rest cost 200 bucks. Tell me, why is Vicodin 10 bucks, and Penicillin 200 bucks?

Thank god the MMJ is dealing with my nausea. I'd be a puking mess by now without it. I still haven't ate anything today cause of it. Might make some broth...

Battery is still charging, so I guess I'll try and eat, and then maybe finish organizing the closet. If I feel up to it that is...

Just stumbled across this, will be keeping an eye out for you now as its looking pretty good! I am also doing my 1st grow and also using miracle grow slow release compost so will be interesting to see how we get on. I have a journal going and have just posted up my pics after 3 weeks in flower, it's amazing how similar they look. I am growing White Widow and Northern Lights.

Also in regard to the molasses there are tons of nute substitutes for it. My favorite being Technaflora's Sugar daddy. I don't remember what you said you are using for nutes but a worth while investment to get you started is the Technaflora Recipe For Success kit. It costs about $30 and gives you enough of every thing you'll need for one grow cycle. Its what I am now using.

Ahh yes, that is bud on a stick's colas just below her main cola. She also has lower branches with popcorn buds on them. Since I've improved the light, they are getting nice and puffy.

I'm using a generic 6/12/6 mixed in with water once a week. They get a full flush of clean water once a week. That's it. I go in 3 to 4 times daily to check for balls on the hermie and soil dampness.

I've got an alpaca ranch really close to me, and was wondering if anyone here has used Paca beans for fertilizer/manure. I can get all that I can shovel for free...

Re nutes, thanks for the tip. Wonder how fast they can get that to me? I'm in week 5. Trichs look clear still, from what I can see with the cam and my lame magnifying glass.

I also want to order some feminized AK 47 and White Widow. Got a seed bank that you like?

If you go on amazon I am sure you can find a sell that would next day or over night for you.

As for seeds I have yet to buy any my self cause I feel until I get a few more grows under my belt I don't want to buy seeds and end up killing them or something. How ever When I do decide to buy some I am going with attitude seed bank. they are trusted, safe and a site sponsor. Plus they are always giving free seeds away with orders, that is always nice!

edit: Also its funny for some reason i was joking around with my GF about how I wanted to sell everything move to colorado and start an alpaca farm.. Weird. haha

I have some more Pretendakind seed that I want to start on my next grow as well. But I figure if I order 10 seeds of each, and plant 2 of each, I can save the rest in case I screw it up. I have pretty much a green thumb so I might get lucky. Look what I did with what I have now *shrug* LOL

Afternoon and evening checks for balls resulted in .... NO BALLS!!!! Hermie is officially de-balled and mostly female .... for now... Her buds are getting more dense too.

Bud on a stick is filling out nicely as well. There was a time when there was a gap between the fan leaves and the top cola. I think the buds below will fill in too.

Tried to get a pic of the orange hairs, but stupid auto focus wouldn't let me. I'll figure it out even if I have to stick the camera in the bud.

I'll check soil dampness, and for more balls on hermie later on this afternoon.

Question. Can I start some new seeds even if my only lighting is at 12/12? Will they come up flowering? Or will they do a little vegging first?
