Last nights pre lights off check resulted in 3 balls.... Oh well.

Nutes go in today. I've been reading about honey instead of molasses. Or I will get some raw sugar and put that in some water... I dunno...

I'll be checking on the girls in a few.

Gave the nutes yesterday. Went into check on the babies on lights on, they are doing good! Hermi-one drank all her nutes. Penelope, has a little bit in the overflow, but I am sure she'll suck them all up when she needs them.

I tried something with the nutes. I added some (less than 1/8 tsp to 1 liter of water) dark brown sugar to the nute mix. I read somewhere that they make or at least add molasses to brown sugar. So far so good, the girls are enjoying it. If they like it, I'll continue with it on my weekly nutes. The Molasses that I have is Grandma's, and I tried to make Gingerbread cookies with it one year for Christmas, and let's just say I ended up making peanut butter cookes, and sugar cookies instead. I couldn't get past the smell of the Molasses, and sort of ruined the batch of cookies

I also sent a message to a mod yesterday. I want to change my username. I didn't put much thought in it, and I really don't like it all that much...I've checked and the name I want isn't in use, so if you see my name changed, you'll know why.

I've been in checkin on the girls today. No balls on Hermi-one, and I swear, Penelope's top cola must have grown at least another 1/2 inch since yesterday!

I sterilized some pots today for my next grow. Just some more bag seed, from the schwag my dispensary sells. But their schwag, is better than most schwag. Speaking of my dispensary, they need to raise 9 grand to pay the fees the state of Colorado has imposed for dispensaries with the BS new law they just passed to regulate dispensaries... GRRRR

Worst comes to worst, I can grow my own. But it just pisses me off, it's in the damn State Constitution!

Can I start my new grow while on 12/12 with my lights? I figure I have at least 4 more weeks of flowering before the girls will be ready.

I spent most of last night reading the FAQ's and the How to Grow Marijuana Forums to see if any of my questions have been asked. I'd say I got halfway through both forums when I decided it hasn't been asked in a while or they haven't been asked. So I might post a thread in the help forums about starting my new grow in the same room as the girls while they are still flowering.

Last night's pre lights off check resulted in about 2-3 balls. Because of my searching through the FAQ's last night, I also realized I needed to pick the banana's off Hermi-one so I picked as many as I could find, and then went lights off. While I was doing that, I had the opportunity to squeeze the buds on her, man are they ever dense!!! Small but mighty I think!!! Penelope, got squeezed just to check for seeds and to see if they are dense as well. Yup they are!!! I know you aren't supposed to mess with them, but I couldn't resist!

I haven't been in to check on the girls yet this afternoon. I need sunglasses in there I swear to god! I come out of my closet and it's like I am snow blind! LOL Too much light maybe?? LOL well, most of the pics I have taken are taken WITHOUT flash, the only time I use the flash is when I am trying to get the trich's to show more.

I went digging through the garage yesterday trying to find my thermometer and hygrometer and I can't find it. Which means I need to straighten up the garage, and the old man is gonna be upset cause I moved his shit around. It needs to be moved around if we are going to put a new power steering pump on the classic car, put a new rack on the family mover, and put a new ignition switch on the truck. And yes, I know how to do all of these things. Remember I am the son my father always wanted... So I was the one under the car with him fixing his cars as a kid.

Tomorrow is the only water flush, and I am going to be putting my raw dark brown sugar in the water. The girls liked it the other day, so I am going to keep it up. It has molasses in it, and I don't have to smell it

Time to check on the girls. Gonna go find my sunglasses

I found a couple of seed pods on Hermi-one. Not sure if they have anything in it, or not. I don't want to yank it off to check. Penelope is doing wonderful. Her colas below her main cola are really catching up. If they fill in. I'll have a nice bud on a stick. Her lower popcorn colas are filling out nicely as well.

Water flush today with raw dark brown sugar added in. She liked it last week, so I am going to keep it up, it goes in with nutes, and with just a water flush...

I found a garden center in the city closest to me (40 miles) they carry most of the brands people here recommend, so I might go check them out next time I am in the city.

I'll post more later, need to go check on the girls. Lights on was at 1 and I need to give her her sugar water...

if you germinate anything but true 100% sativa under 12/12 they will start shifting to flowing as they sprout. flipping from 12/12 to veg after a few weeks will set them back in growth as they shift back to vegging.

either grow the sprouts out under flowering light till harvest ( DocBuds hempy 12/12 thread is a great example) - or sprout them under vegging conditions. i wouldn't recommend 12/12/ ->18/6 -> 12/12, as they would waste a lot of energy needlessly shifting gears.

Thank you! I was wondering what would happen if I did that in the last few weeks of flowering. I figured they would grow until they got their first 5-7 sets of leaves. I was going to pop a few seeds in some pots today. If I do that, I think I'll just leave them in my bathroom window until the girls are finished blooming. Then move them into the room, and switch over to 18/6 while the girls are drying in another room. I'm going to try and build a cabinet so I can do vegging, and flowering in the same room.

I took a lot of pics last night, and I need to resize them. They are all HUGE cause I was trying to zoom in on the trichs and the orange hairs. 5.6 MB each. So today I need to resize, and upload, and crop those money shots.

The girls are really digging the raw dark brown sugar in their nutes and water flushes. They are really filling up and getting dense.

Lights on is in less than an hour, I'll check out the girls then.

How do I deal with low Relative Humidity? Today it's 27% I'm sure that the grow room is more humid because the hot water heater is in there. I know the temps in the room aren't too hot, because I can go in there and not be sweltering, it's actually comfortable. I know people might laugh, but I think my solution is actually helping. The Aqua Globes keep the plants from getting too dry just in case I can't get in there. Plus a bowl of water in the room is helping as well.

Just fell into your journal, and got caught up with following the way you're dealing with your hermi.... just on a side note my dad used to actually let one or two balls grow... i know alot of you growers would freak about that.... but he was like tall-one and checked his plants several times a day... once they got to where they were gonna bust he'd pull them drop them in a plastic sack and pollinate one branch by carefully putting the bag over a branch then tie it shut tight with string then pop the balls and shake the branch... just make sure you turn off all air circulation when you pull the balls and pollinate and for a short time afterwards to make sure pollen doesnt spread as it settles.... he liked his hermies... he found that hermie seeds tended to yield lots of females.... but you have to watch stressing the plants because they will have the recessive trait to go hermi....so lighting, nutes, water cycles, etc need to be very consistent.....

I would say so, I don't see any amber for sure. To me they look mostly clear. What day flower are you at again?
Also, on RH i always try to keep it as low as possible during flower to prevent pm and budrot...i'm close to the ocean so my rh can get a lil hi. Ur plants r lookin great!

Yea my lighting isn't consistent due to being in the middle of no where and storms come up and the power goes poof. I think that is what stressed it to go hermie. So I do the best that I can with what I have. Hermi-one has a few seed pods growing on her lower buds. So I didn't get all of the balls. I knew that was going to happen, so I am just going to let her continue growing, and then harvest and properly dry/cure her so that I can use her for edibles. I just didn't have the heart to rip her up and toss her when she was so lush. So I figure if she seeds the other female in the room, I might get some female seeds. But so far, Penelope has escaped any pollen from Hermi-one.

I'm at Week 6 day 1 of flower with both. Yea, mostly clear, but I see some cloudy heads too. So I figure maybe 2-4 more weeks of flower?

I haven't the slightest clue. I think I am suffering from information overload. So many different opinions on when to harvest. I figure, if I wait till they are 1/3 amber I can safely harvest? If this is totally wrong, please let me know. This grow is the first time I have ever done from start to finish, so this is all new territory for me.

I think I am going to wait till I harvest this before I start on the next then. I don't really want to be putting plants in windows. That's how my cat killed one of my very first grows. Hence the stealth closet setup you see right now.

Ok, so the edibles I am going to make from Hermi-one are going to be for the old man. He has spastisity issues ( he has a diagnosis of a neurological disease, but if I say what one, that will be giving out way too much info about my identity and location) and he has his MMJ permit as well. He prefers edibles to just plain lighting one up. He's a lightweight when it comes to how much he needs so Hermi-one properly cured and made into edibles will be perfect for him.

I feel you on the info overload..for my first grow i spent a ridiculous time on the old overgrow.com reading stuff.
IMO if you can wait till 30% amber u r good to go. That will make sure you have a decent cbd/cbn content which is great for pain/nausea...but I don't consider myself an expert.
