Multi Strain Grow Journal

Here's my ten regular seeds mystery pack. Two girls I've topped off plus one that doesn't have enough top to top yet. IMO.

In my experience is 60+ days. Some can determine sex earlier. If you don't want to keep clones you can throw them in bloom cycle and they'll show in few days. Just make sure they are the sizes you want for flowering

I'd like to veg them all for 60 days :rollit:

My flowering tent is a vegin tent at present. I've seedlings under CFL in one tent, and girls getting a start in quadlining, are under a 250w MH in the other tent. Soon as possible I will have them all in the same tent. Then I will introduce mr dual spectrum 600w running on 400 at first . they are still young girls , and boy's in most probabilities ... Still if I get 4 or 5 girls from the ten seedlings I'll be on a seven or eight plant grow. 3 known strains and a suprise pack.

I'm impressed with the dissaplin of the feedback one gets at 420.
I've got an issue with my ten regular seeds/ seedlings . They are making the three leaf spread,2nd node. Plus developing all the time. I've got a cabbagy leaf hear and there. Like the first node leafs were reveging I'll try to get a good shot of what I am on about.

I'm curious as to how soon I could put these seedlings under a different light. I've got a 250w MH with my Barney's farm girls starting to get quadlined. I'd like to put the seedlings in with them but maybe further away from the light. Are they going to do better in the CFL light. They are all, well I just answered my question. They can go under the main light , when they can cope with the main fan. I geuss.
Starting to worry about the regular seeds, seedlings! They're cheap. Too cheap? I'm thinking I should be vegin all of the photos, feminised or regular , around the flowering autos. Haven't tried autos before. I've got 4seeds and was waiting for cooler weather as I read they like it cool at night, need a cool dark spell. Hmmnnn. :smokin:
Furthermore I think it is possibly a mix of too wet, maybe the giant CFL was too close. Maybe I have slightly sour soil. I didn't lime or buffer my humic content properly. Maybe . Seems to only affect the seedlings. I've added more coco to try and make it more seedlings friendly. ????????

Hey, @Ifbleaf , are those Blueberry seedlings? Looks very similar to my Blueberry at that stage.

So I am looking at ten almost vigorously growing seedlings under CFL & moved them to be with thier big sisters under 250w MH and the home doctored cob 50w . See how bright the 50w cob looks along side the 250w MH here.

I'm obviously happy with the seedlings response to going under a stronger light. It's only a 250w MH + 50w warm white cob. I've got a few more coming and hope to convert a barn hood to a heat sink and reflector. . They are all ac and I really don't know how the plants may react to it ? Anyone ever come across this issue?

So here's my 17days in the dirt reg 10 mystery pack
IMG_20190817_100557.jpg

They look like they love the light.
And here's the big picture
IMG_20190817_100557.jpg

No that's the same as the other.

There. My 3girls on the left, sporting thier new pots & recharged soil. John innes no 3 and some bio tea. First time with either so I will see how water only does. There's also a hand full of blood fish and bone that went into the mix with the John innes. Plus a little Epsom salt and a sprinkling of iron and potash. This was all in all recharging soil mix with a final volume of about 100litres + that includes 25 litres of John innes. I didon't add any more perlite as I want slower drainage and more microbial activity. Hopefully supported by sufficient substance in the soil design (pot luck) to be a til free, until, grow.
I've made a big mistake. I overlooked potting on the 3 I'd like to quadline and trimmed them accordingly for quadlining before I even thought. Lack of good practices in waiting for them to be growing healthily. Talking about lack of care I just got 2x 50w cob chips through the door bent over useless

I've been reading up on quadlining & discovered that one of the big mistakes I've been making is trying to tie down branches all from the edge of the pot.
I've also taken note of the last grow by letting 2 plants just grow and seeing what they do. Advice from an old friend.
Through topping and timid lollipoping I've been getting frustrated by seeing that simple but decisive action could tame the' vigorous growth' as I have read in several different versions of. Mainlining or manifolding where mouthwatering. But having a job to grow smokeable weed and enough for me and my partner was not conducive to the patience needed for these techniques. I'm impressed with the bio grow as opposed to trying to juggle multiple nutes and the nessaccerry just in a drain to waiste hand watered coco grow. I'm far more into creating a symbiosis than having to do anything technical stoned. Also I live in the country and have access to quality organic fruit compost castings buy the layer. Lucky me. Lucky to have the reference to make good use of it.

The girls and regulars are reacting to the 250w m/h like they are all reaching out for it?? I'd assumed that the hid light, although being the same wattage as it's predecessor cfl dual spectrum. I'm going to try out a 600w dual spectrum hid light running on 400 off my dimmable ballast. They need the heat also. The night has been cool with low wattage lights. The day offers little contrast to the light and dark spell temp difference. A bit more heat will help. I guess as I write, that they are reaching for the heat. Doh! I'm right aren't I.
I'm not a schizo. No disrespect. I've got a monkey with a silver back,, on my back.
Writing this has started to repeat other info I have read specific to what I am trying to achieve. Consequently I realize as I write. Never did get on with normal learning styles.... Heres a pic of the light on top of the seedlings!!!!
IMG_20190817_100557.jpg

This was yesterday morning and I got a try lowering your lights mate tip. So I did a quick brain fog, risk assessment, and decided to go with it while they're young and hungry. Plus I took my warm white cob off line as it possed a light burn hanging at hood height.!!!️☀
IMG_20190818_090722.jpg

This is this morning and already I've got the seedlings in priority for the light over the vegin plants in new pots!!!
Defo going with the 600w bulb on 400w dimmed . Then there's enough light overall to make good on the taller vegin plants over the weaker seedlings. About a fortnight apart from them respectively. Kirk out.. :morenutes:

Captain's log. Star date 3barneys farm seeds at 4weeksfrom germination ,& 10 regular seeds cheap mystery pack of indica dominant and fast flowering strains. Nearly€30 . They all look happy and the seedlings are feeding now. Properly!!! :morenutes::morenutes:

I've got the 3girls going along with the bulb and the seedlings are either side. Not the best pictures in dimmed hid ha ha.

I've been on the job and made a fresh small amount of feed for the seedlings. Then I diluted it by nearly half as there is going to be more evaporation of plants getting warm with the bigger light now! Or is that why I need the humidity???
So I mixed a 1.5 litre spray bottle with ph'd water with 1mlsilica. 20ml v.dilute canna bio vega, canna rhizotonic bio, seaweed extract about 4ml ??! Then diluted it with a second spray bottle.oh and about 10ml compost castings tea. Hope they like it. They're in a seedling mix.
