I will inspect tonight - I think its just new pistils emerging that has been going on a bunch of the flowers but either way I'll double check...if so I will chippity chop her tonight to keep the other one safe!

They come from factors such as heat stress or other environmental factors ..or could be in genetics ?

10 4 so what does this mean, they are hermaphrodite and could seed themselves? I don't see any seeds yet if that's the case and could just harvest tonight?

How many are there ?

Sorry about the nanners! Looks like you’ve got a bunch too! Last time I got some, it wasn’t this much mine didn’t produce any seeds yet that I’ve noticed. Your banana problem looks much worse then mine. It may be wise to chop sooner then later :nervous-guy:

Old thread but decent information on late flower nanners:

Bananas in late flower

Sounds like the plant is a in survival mode late in flower and last ditch effort throwing nanners out to try to pollinate. I could collect some and pollinate a branch in the other girl if I wanted to make seeds.

How many are there ?

Only a few here any there, I've been keeping an eye and no sign of any seeds unless they are deep. I'm not too worried and was going to harvest tomorrow anyway she's ripe!

I'm gonna Chop her tonight and pluck the couple Nans I see On the other girl and see If I can get her another week without more popping out.

You'd need a plant in there with fresh pistils to end up with seeds even if there is pollen in the nanners. Dried up ones are beyond their reproductive years.

So no worries then leaving the other old bird another week?

Okay, all nanners surgically removed.
The plant with the Nans was then trimmed of most of its fan leaves and segregated into the other tent. I would've continued on with the funeral but El kiddos were up late tonight and I got called into work tomorrow. Tomorrow night it is. Say your goodbyes.

I'll keep a close eye on TO2 this week but I think she has some more to give so well keep ridin.
