This week is the 4th week of veg since its 4 official leafs…Sept 18 if you look back at page 1... Need to buy some sledge hammer forsure to flush these before the next cycle of veg. Expecting the transplant To be rocketing these roots and this next cycle we boutta be in for a ride. Hope ya’ll can ride with me on this one!

Here is a little update on these two girls after yesterdays watering. The baby one looking like she loved it but the bigger one is still being a slouch. Soil is still moist so im not thinking root bound but not really sure. Can you please give me some good insight on what some things youd plan for? @Emilya Green :) Please..I dont know if I should transplant or what? Its week 4 in veg and still pretty small but expecting roots to rocket when I transplant. Not sure if i need to flush neither if im extending the forx farms week schedule another 4 weeks from the beginning. Many blessings, im ready to learn, ALWAYS. Im trying to learn how to harvest QUALITY. Slackin in areas but ready to put it to the test. These girls smell fancy and stanky already in veg :)

I dont know I was thinking out them in the same size pot as my bigger plant I have in here but nah I think im still misunderstanding the concept but getting it at the same time. The 1 gallon should
why not go first into a 1g or 2g?

be much easier to continue to build the root ball as much as I can. Im really gonna focus on giving it minimal water.

So is it true I shouldnt see alot of runoff though? Because I find if I let it really dry out I get quite a bit of runoff
You are watering too fast then. A significant amount of runoff is not inevitable. It is totally possible to slowly water right up to the point that runoff starts to happen, and then stop. It has nothing to do with the dryness of the soil, it has to do with your watering method and how fast you are dumping water in there. Additionally, if the soil has become very dry, it has contracted and pulled away from the edges of the container. The first water poured in there might easily sneak down the sides and out as runoff. The solution to this is to pour just a little bit of water all around the surface. Relax and smoke half a joint. Then come back and add a bit more water, maybe twice as much as you used the first pass. Smoke the rest of the joint. After this, the initial water should have soaked in a bit and expanded some of the soil so the sneaky paths down the sides no longer exist. Slowly water some more, taking little breaks while you watch surface water soak in. Keep watering in small amounts until you start to see runoff. At this point stop. Go watch a TV program and come back in an hour or so, and give a bit more water, just until runoff starts. The water you just added was not just water that finally found a place to get absorbed, but also water that the plant used while you watched TV. When the plants get bigger, it will amaze you how much they can drink in an hour.

Watering your plants should take some time. It is not a race. Take your time, and slowly add water to that soil as if it were a sponge, and you are trying to get the very last drop to soak in before it can't hold any more. You can't overwater in one session... the soil can only hold a set amount of water. The only way to overwater this weed, is by watering too often. Let the plant completely dry out between waterings, and this will cause the plant to send out more roots, looking for more water. You control that process, by making the plant work for its drinks. Rootballs don't happen by accident.

Here is a little update in the two girls! Just transplanted them both from the solo cups into 1gal pots. Gave them each a little over 1 cup of water with 1.8ml big bloom, 1.2ml of grow big & a few drops of Cal-mag. Going to wait and see how long it takes for the soil to fully dry so I can decide whether to feed them more than 1 cup per watering. The later baby became taller than the first one that popped hehe

just transplanted the big girl into a 7gal as well and fed about 1gal.

Update 3 days after transplant. Looking to clip those yellow crispy fan leaves soon probably tomorrow. Seems like the pots still have water sitting towards the bottom so im still patiently waiting. Not sure if the leafs are throwing some sort of sign of deficiency or just typical transplant shock. Im noticing how the leafs are darker & lighter tones on some of the leaves. Started LST training one of the girls. I want to try the technique where you hold down the side branches at first, not sure if it’s different from LST but im basically doing it.

These two girl seem like they drank up most of the water and started showing a little bit of droop so they were both fed just 1.5 cups of water ph 6.3. Will update pics tomorrow! Looking to top and LST both plants more real soon.

Just fed these babies a little over a half gallon of water since they didnt seem like they were fully ready for more but It was a must I had to feed today due to my schedule. Also transplanted them both into brand new mansions! From 1 gallons to 5 gallons. Im super excited to see the new growth they are about to produce. Topped both of them. Looking to strap my plants branches down to start LST training & start topping the lower branches off the sides. Let me know what you all think ! Happy Growing :) <3
