All four plants did end up female after all although I call one of them China - because thats about how fast its growing
(slow boat to china)
I havent had to water at all - mother nature is taking care of that end of it - just feeding with Bud Candy once a week and they seem to like it.
The moon was super big and bright last night and I wondered if that would screw with the dark period these plants are supposed to have now? I walked outside and I didn't even need a flash light - it was so beautiful out! Love these super moons :circle-of-love:

I still haven't started to prepare my winter grow room. Its almost like if I prepare it - winter will come sooner and I really am dreading it this year so I think Ill wait a bit longer. Anyways, Great day to all :peace:

Hey Brightlight These are BDS feminized from Dutch seeds. Ive never grown this before so had no idea what to buy the first time out. I bought 5 - started all 5 seeds and 4 made it this far. No too bad for a newbie and miracle grow soil.

Here is the link to the BDS I bought. As for "what" it is - Ill let the site tell you that. I bought it because it was medical and faster flowering than some of the others I looked at (although you wouldn't know it from my plants hahaha) I was looking for something that was strong enough at night to stop the throbbing in the joints when I go to sleep and thought this might do the trick. According to the site it said "extreme high" well I dont care for the high part as much as I care more about the body numbing part so hopefully thats how it turns out. It really sucks to get old. :peace:

Found a couple of reviews of BDS Special....all good reviews. "Mostly indica w/ creeper, long lasting heavy stony effect". Looks like a good selection for what you're after. :thumb:

Rock on teatime!! NE fall can be a bitch to a crop. Hang on there get a light and keep it going all winter.

Booo 50 degrees and falling brrrrrr I wonder how these girls will do in these temps - I know I dont like it!
Ill be starting indoors soon - I have everything I need I just need to get moving on it.

Week four into flowering. Getting so cold here - the overnights are getting into the 40s. Hope Indian summer hits soon. Okay onto pictures.

This plant has some white on the leaves Is this mold??

assuming you and I are looking at the same "white on the leaves"... you talking about what looks like little sugar crystals on the buds and the single leaves coming out of the cola? If so, that is absolutely NOT mold... simply put, that's the GOOD stuff... that's your THC containing resin forming in the form of trichomes. it means your plant is nearing maturity. you want to get yourself a 30x (or stronger) jewelers loupe to look at these. you harvest based on the color of those trichomes, varying from clear, to cloudy to amber. I think most people harvest once they get anywhere from 5-25% amber, with the earlier harvests producing more of a head/cerebral high and later harvests producing a more sleepy or lethargic "stone" (some call it "couch-lock").

Hi Garage Grower thanks for the tip on harvesting - I was a bit confused on when to do that exactly. I will definitely get a loupe Thanks

The white spots Im looking at are circled in the picture. The spots are only on 1 plant and I thought I read somewhere about a white mold they can get.

oh ok, sorry... I saw those, but thought it was just a light reflection with the leaf being at a certain angle to the camera.

I'll leave that to someone else to answer as I'd me interested to know myself in case it IS a mold. I'm also in the northeast so I'll know that's another possibility I need to look out for on my own grow.

Good luck

Those are trichromes. They are the "crystals" that contain most of the good stuff in your plant. I think we must be close. It was 45 when I woke up this morning.

Some hay would do wonders. The leaves can take colder temps than the roots.

Shit yeah I think that's powdery mold. I got it on my squash but haven't seen it on my ganj yet.

Edit...I think its called powdery mildew.
I don't know if there is a difference..

I would do the same thing but I think the spores are already everywhere.
Get something that says you can use it up until harvest.
If the weather keeps up it will be a very early harvest.

Hi Bright, I dont think its from spraying because its only on the one plant (so far) but I could be wrong - I am definitely going to trim off those leaves and possibly those tops near it. I dont want to take the chance of all four dying from this

Heres an article on a treatment I found:

Powdery mildew spreads quickly. Don’t wait for it to appear—be pro-active and spray preventatively. An easy solution is right in your refrigerator: milk. As long as your plants are at least two weeks from harvest, a mix of 10 percent milk to 90 percent water can be sprayed on any part of the plant. Otherwise just spray on infected leaves.
Another way to stop the spores is to raise the pH of the alkalinity level of the leaf surface. Potassium bicarbonate, found at garden stores, is my first choice. You can also use baking soda (sodium bicarbonate). Mix 1 teaspoon of either to 1 quart of the 10 percent milk mix; if too close to harvest, omit the milk and just use water for an effective foliar spray.

I would rather try something like this than harsh chemicals or pull the plant at this point. its worth a try

A couple pictures from this morning. In first picture you can see a few leaves something has been munching on

I went out and sprayed the Milk concoction on them last night. Keep my fingers crossed
