New Grower: Open To Any Advice

To help you the males get ball like growth which can have a tiny hair but the females just have pistols ( much longer hairs ).
these indicate pre-flowers. The plant is wanting to move into the flowering stage. Unless the plant is an Auto flowering plant one can still keep them in veg if you want more growth, by keeping the lights at 18/6 hours of light. Auto's will flower no matter what you do as they are genetically designed to have a prescribed life span and flowering time.
I kill off males in every grow unless I want more seeds of a strain or want to cross-pollenate two strains

Damn ok I really hope they dont all turn out to be males

Here is another image of shorty

Good day to the ones still following if there is still anyone.

So the littlest lady has shown the signs of female and here I have 2 pictures where I marked the pistils ... I'm still a newbie to this so if I'm wrong do please go ahead and say so Haha.

All is well for the girls and the are now starting to drink like crazy ...

I fill the botanium every second day and it fills up to the point it looks like it will overflow ... this does concern me a bit . The botanium has started to develop its pre flowers but still to small to tell . There was one very tiny one that looked female but I could just be over excited sonill wait to see...

One in soil is leaning to female but I'm nor calling it as I cant say right now . It has grown rather well and took nicely to the new pot, pruning and training with very minimal dro leaves. I'm using a 10lt container which I guess is 2 and half gallons. Any bigger and she will completely take over Haha.

I have had a cold front hit and temps hit hard. Now all lights are on just to keep things stable .

I'm really thinking of just vegging out till August so that I have warmer temps ...

Thank you Mr wick.

I do believe the one is female. I'm sincerely hoping I hit the jackpot for all 3 Haha.

New
Hey,
First time grower now that Canada is legal and my back finally decided to give out
icon_sad.gif

Anyways I just purchased a mars- 120*120*200 tent with a 4 inch fan ,carbon filter ,pots , ratchets, climate control, all that Jazz. But the only option for lights was a 400hps, or I need a bigger light?

I have never grown before.
I am looking to maximize what I can with this space.

I will be putting this tent inside my insulated garage. We get regular temps of -25c all the way to -45c. I do have a forced air heater in the garage which I usually set at +10c.

So my questions are. ...Will that little 400 watt hps be able to throw enough temperature to keep a 4x4 warm enough with the ambient outside temp 10c ?

Is the 400 even worth wasting time? Or should I just use it in a little veg tent for next go around.

And if the answer to keeping the 400 for veg is a yes .....then would a 1000hps or any LEDs have enough heat to Work?

And happy Canada day !

Thanks !

Here is a picture of them . The new vegetation from where I trimmed is growing really well now I just say . Botanium shows a very small ball like figure which I do presume is Male but it has 2 little hairs sticking out making me think it is either a small pre flower that needs to grow or the dreaded hermie which I really hope is not the case . Anyways as always im super grateful for all the help and guidance .

Good day to you sir and that sound like a very nice setup indeed. So generally LED lights will produce much less heat than the HPS . Have you set it up yet and run a test ?

I have a far more basic contraption with no insulation in my garage . Temps are very low here now d all I'm using for heat is 2 halogen bulbs which are 60w and 70w the do the trick for a 1 x 1 and lower . Since you will have 4x4 that means it is possible especially if you are controlling the outside temperature to not affect it .

I'd say set it up ,run a test run and if it is too low than reduce fan speed. If that doesn't work then try another light . Also post some pics...
I'm sure im not the only one whoe likes seeing someone set up a beautiful new haven for your girls.

Dont be afraid to test . I am only 4 months in and so far I have run so many tests that u have lost count . Ir definitely keeps you busy .

How many plants do you wish to grow ?

Not set yet, i am consider to add the light in hps or LED. Yes i see led has less heat problem, while heard of the hps makes better yield, so would consider more to make it balanced .

Yes i would try but i need to consider some time more then decide which light to go with, since it my first time grow . :yummy: i hope got some well experience from ppl around. i will show you guys more pics later , i'll not be afraid of trying new thing . thx lot and happy weekend :Namaste:

you did end up topping right? Those branches that are shooting out above the fan leaves you can train them to grow horizontally rather then vertically. Doing so, it will work on it’s secondary branches. Giving you more main colas.

This was my blue Cookie, (using it as an example) yeah it had a bit of a deficiency at that time, she ended up pulling through

You know I didn't take to head what you were saying at that moment when you once responded "it is never to late" when it comes to topping .

Hey Big green, can you supply a better photo of the LEDs spec's, can't read them from the current photos.
LED's are a good choice, they run cooler. :thumb:

So I recently researched I have a calcium deficiency in the soil plant . So now I went to go get some cal mag . Upon asking I was directed to the new marijuana section. This has made me so happy I decided to get all I need and a started kit for support.
