New Member - Old Grower - From Canada!

Re: New member old grower - From Canada!

Ha! The big challenge with drying and curing in my house is keeping the husband out of the harvest. He knows you can get an excellent buzz from freshly dried organically grown cannabis and he also knows I have a hard time saying no to him.

I need to look into those in enticing broveda packs.

what's yours is his and his is yours,,, no???

Re: New member old grower - From Canada!

Hahaha.

Boveda is great though. Those us in Canadian winter have trouble getting air up to 65% in winter. Lucky if I can get 40-45 with my $50 humidifier. So I get it as high as I can then dry as slow as I can.

Re: New member old grower - From Canada!

My basement is above average because I have a large fish tank and 3 water reservoirs. There's water everywhere down here. So moisture isn't tough thing to obtain. The driest room is the flowering room. Thankfully I guess.

That little sample harvest I took is drying nicely. Going to put it into jar right away. I do wish I had the Boveda packs though. For a nice consistent cure

Re: New member old grower - From Canada!

Hi everyone! What a beautiful weekend up here in Northern Canada.

Everything is well here. On day 62/55. Hoping for a harvest on the 28th.

Just wanted to share a little Sunday evening Bud Porn.

how north is north?? i want buds just like that. is it possible with cfl's?? with tons of em?:bravo:

Re: New member old grower - From Canada!

I'm not actually as far north as that statement implies. More so central. Manitoba.

You can grow with CFLs the whole time but you want to use "cold or cool" lights for the beginning and "warm" light CFLs for flower. You want to pay attention to the Kalvins. For example, 2500k. Cooler light has higher Kalvins while warmer light has lower Kalvins... All of this information in on the box on CFLs when you buy them at the store.

Just had a huge rip from the bong like right before I wrote this. I'll probably read this 3 times and change a bunch of shit. But I think I got it right.

Thanks for taking a peak

Re: New member old grower - From Canada!

So you've smoked that test bud, huh? It's always so satisfying to reap even a small reward. :)

Re: New member old grower - From Canada!

Nah haven't smoked it yet. Trying to give it a decent cure. Maybe in a couple weeks. I'm thankful that I still have plenty of smoke left and I'm in no rush to smoke my home grown. (Until it's done)

Re: New member old grower - From Canada!

Ok wow!! I opened the jar to let some moisture out and my goodness did it ever smell good!! Soooo good!! Nothing like its smelt so far. It's a very citrus like scent. Very potent and very pleasant. I kept sniffing it over and over. I hope my house smells like this when they all cure. For the name Critical Hog she smells nothing like a pig :)

I wish I could pass the pleasantries through the computer

:laughtwo:We can imagine Pigeons. :laughtwo:

ALRIGHT!!!! I have amber trichomes!!!!

Well I've found one hahah. I have one Amber trichome!! I tried taking a picture of it but my magnifying glass can't pick it up. But it's so obvious to see while standing here. It's almost a fire red. And stands out like a soar thumb compared to the other white milky ones.

Omg I'm so excited!

Ok, so as I look harder I can see more. The color is more subtle. It's obvious that this is the beginning of the end as they start going from milky to amber.

Yippee!!! Personally, I'm always chasing a good head high, so I stick to the mostly-milky side. Be sure you're checking the buds and not the leaves. It's the buds that you want to be watching. The leaves will turn earlier than the buds.

Soon pigeons. Soon.
