Hey everybody I'm completely new to growing I have been blessed by my buddy and been given everything I need to have a successful grow. The guy is pretty damn good anyway I started my journal a little too late and InThe process I have rebuilt my setup. I'm growing in Coco and running LED lights not completely sure about everything exactly but I will find out and post everything. For my first grow I ran 6 beans. 2 amnesia 2 og gelato 1 laughing Budda and 1 Kali China all have popped.all these beens come from Preston9mm so I know they are of quality.all have popped and been moved into 3 gallon pots I will update as I go and I appreciate any comments and advice thank u all

Party time!

Glad go see you got your journal up & running. I'm sure there will be a bunch of people following along to help as you need.

It's gonna be a great summer!

What nutrients are you using?

Those lights look interesting. Can you tell us more about them?

May you reap a bountiful harvest!
Those lights are a pair of 1K China LED's that I bought when I first started growing. They are equivalent to around 400W actual when they are both running. One of the lights runs around 250W at the wall, the cheaper of the 2 is only drawing around 140W at the outlet. Together, they work pretty damn good.
They were about to be retired to my attic when @bebes de zorrillos expressed a little interest in growing. LoL They gon' get some use now!

I also set him up with the Remo Supercharged Kit that came with one of the OTM prize packages. Pretty sure that's gonna be the nute mix.
:morenutes:

Sorry for jacking your thread buddy. LoL, I just couldn't remember if I had given you all the specs on the lights yet.

What he said lol thanks Preston9mm

I'm still having trouble with keeping down my temp. I should have a carbon filter to help push out the heat. But all my other beans have popped out these are just ones I have collected over the years just trying out my new skills.

Looking good brother!

The new carbon filter will definitely help suck out some of that heat.

Hi everyone sorry I Haven't updated in awhile I was having problems with my temps I still kinda am but I'm working on it should have it all dialed in but I do have an update. I finally got my filter in and set up and thanks to my boy Preston9mm I have a new light as well thanks for all the help man. Anyway I have been feeding 6 ml of Cal and micro kelp and grow for the last week and a half one day feed next day water. I almost lost these babies but they seem to be fighting back slowly this is also my very first grow and I'm really glad they are still alive. The beans I have in the cups starting are just some that I get out of what I usually get I'm just starting them for a friend of mine that's gonna try them outside. I appreciate any comments and advice thanks everyone have a good night

Good to see you got it all set up. Looking good! Hope the new light wakes them babies up a bit.

We'll get the temps dialed in bro.... Swing by when you have time... we'll figure it out.

To control my temps in a small 2x4 with around 450 from-the-wall watts (2-300's and a 450 advertised watts) I started with 2 Vivosun 4 inch inlines with a carbon filter. I took off the filter within one day (90+ degrees). Within 2 more days both were on the exhaust port; didn't work. Bought a single iPower 6 inch (Amazon Warehouse deal with free Prime shipping for under $60), put it on the exhaust and put both 4 inches on the intake and promptly found out a 6-inch iPower (reduced to the lowest speed it will continue to turn at) is more powerful than both of 4's (sucked in my sides . . . a lot ;-). Bought another iPower 6 and my heat issues are over. By-the-way a single 4 inch will cool the same size tent with 2 Quantum Boards

Thank u for the knowledge Elvin. I might need to insulate a bit more. I'm learning as I go and every bit of advice helps thank u. I'm thinking I need an ac to help control but like I said I'm learning as I go
If your intake air is too hot then you need AC to lower the temp, otherwise, you need to increase airflow. That's just about as simple as I can say it ;)

Haha!
He's probably rigging that a/c up right now. LoL

We had a little sesh earlier to brainstorm options. A/C is definitely gonna be the quickest/easiest fix.

That new fan is a 204 CFM, I figured it would drop temps a few points.... like you said, airflow... I guess the temp didn't budge.

Time to pump in the cold...

I learned the hard way; plurple puts out gobs of heat and even 2 of those 204 CFM's isn't going to do it (I tried); a pair of 6" iPower 442 CFM's (speed is adjusted as needed; I've never needed the full 442) is what it took for me in a 4x2 to maintain tent temperature to close to room temp. An AC will surely do it for you.

Hey everyone I have managed to keep my temps in the 70s low 80s that and the new light have definitely helped thanks to Preston9mm and Elvin for the comments and help. My plants are still pretty small but have grown a bit since the last update.im still feeding one day and watering the next I will continue this cycle untill they get healthy if they do I guess. Thanks everyone
