Purple branches? What to do?

So I’ve been in Happy Frog soil from the start. I have never given my plants any nutrients yet. I’m on day 19. I just transplanted them into 1 gallon pots, so that means a whole new batch of Happy Frog soil. I’ve heard that the purple color means a deficiency, but should I be feeding my plants when they’ve just been put in new soil? My ppm runoff on their last watering was between 250-260.

perfectly normal on many strains friend,, cheers

oh, and just to clarify,, those are purple leaf stems,, not branches

It's a reaction related to your lights. Cover an area directly exposed with something opaque or even another leaf and it wont turn that color. I've seen this for decades and its nothing out of the ordinary. It could be an indication, where there is none of this tinge that those areas aren't getting enough light. I've no evidence for this other than my anecdotal opinion and I dont think anyone's going to document it to set some facts on paper and create the science for it. GG and nice to meet you.

was suggested to me one time that the purp is even water soluble,,

so it is,, how scientific,,

cheers friend

Many Strains are prone to it, cooler temps seem to bring out the color more if a Strain is prone to it. Also PPM runoff in soil doesn't really tell you much of anything (see this current thread as it comes up quite often here: Ppm run off is low! ), hydro or hydro like mediums are different. Trying to fix "a problem that isn't there" is generally a very good way to create problems you didn't have ;)

This ^^^

Purple stems or petioles are not a sign of deficiency. Look at the leaves for those signs.

Purple flowers on the other hand are a sign of a hot fire about to placed on said flower!
