RR's Winter Grow - Krishna Kush - Black Kush 98 - OGK

Thank you for referral Jim, I'm so looking forward to your little mutant there RR. It's great you are taking pics all the time. Gorgeous plants, I'm in the background in awe. :goodjob:

Thanks G2HM! I just got a new camera for my birthday so I've been having a blast snapping pics of the girls. Tomorrow is watering day so I hope to get in there and get some more good shots to share.

Happy Smokes!:cheer:

This is what my dreams look like. A forest of white pistil.

That Cheese is a wild one. I am so glad you got one of those whorled wild ones.
Gotta be a treat. I hope she treats you right with many many happy buds.

WHooT.

Good Morning everyone! Got some good pictures of the girls right as they were waking up. I sprinkled some grokashi around each of the girls and watered them each with 2L of H2O and fulpower. The scent coming from these is totally new to me. The Cheese has a nice apricot smell that I wish I had as a cologne. Both of the Krishna Kush are sending out some great berry flavors. After taking all of the pictures this morning my camera has become an air freshener lol

BK98, this poor girl is in the back behind the cheese and I can't really get any good pictures of her. She's going to be a great surprise once harvest comes.

KK1 - She is also in the back and hard to get pics of, growing very well though, and is much taller than KK2. One fan leaf did get a little toasted by the light but she seems to have corrected that and moved a little bit farther away.

KK2 - Shorter and a little slower to flower, side branching is strong and a few have out grown the main cola.

Cheese- She gets the most pictures as she's right at the door, I removed just a couple fan leaves that were blocking the light and trying to over grow BK98. Also had to pull the main cola back a bit as she was about to block all of KK1's sun.

My little helpers, think these guys caught a ride in with my compost. Some people say no to them, but they haven't caused any issues and are really helping break down my top layer of soil. Can't express enough now how easy this LOS is, and best part no more PH'ing. Even now I'm using a blend of RO and tap water and as you can see its not causing any issues. I am making teas about once a week, but thats simple. Throw in a bucket with an air stone and come back in 24hrs, I'll take that over my old bottle nutes any day. I recently went through my Nute stock and tossed them all out, it felt great. Now its just a few jars of neem, kelp, alfalfa working wonders.

RQS - Stress Killer Auto -- just having some fun. If you're into autos, looking for something with a good amount of CBD and like a sativa high. Check this one out! Pure joy to grow 100% LOS a little over 2oz dry.

I like your little helpers.
. .. .. I think I had some helpers that never really got past the top of the soil, they were always breaking down the leaf mulch on the soil top. only very rarely would I see leaf damage on the plant itself.

I am starting new soil in a couple of weeks so insect management has been on my mind. I am a lazy IPM guy. o_O

Lovely pictures RR.

So instead of killing them off you let them do their intended job. I like that. I have to share that every time I get a glimpse of the living mulch on someone else's pots I have a twinge of regret for choosing Doc's system. It's living soil, but not in the conventional sense, and I often miss the energy of a traditional vibrant soil community.

I feel better about the kit than I do about the bottled nutes though, especially when I flush the waste down the sink. I keep thinking I could set up a natural filtration box on the balcony and clean the waste water before dumping it.

My bottled nutes are easier than anything else I've used, to be honest. Hempy has much to do with that ease. The process takes no time at all with the RX line and my plants are stunning. It wasn't what I was expecting when I chose to stick my toe into chemicals. Their vibrant nature, increased yields in hempy and excellent produce make it hard for me to walk away.

You know Keltic, I'm the same way. I know one day its really going to kick me in the butt, but I just hate spraying something on them when they don't need it.
Early on with this grow I noticed a couple fungus gnats roaming around but I think this soil knocked them out quick. Haven't seen any now for months. I think the neem is to thank for that.

I like to think they do more good than harm. Wouldn't even know where to begin if I did want to get rid of them. I really enjoy watching the kit growers , there is a lot to be learned from Doc's approach to growing and I feel a lot of his techniques follow over to my style of growing.

Bottled nutes are great for many people and if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have had the great start that I did. They worked great, but also showed me there could me more. I wanted a new approach something I could tailor to my needs, and I guess put my spin on.

Your hempy grows are really cool and seeing what comes from them is fantastic. I think its great you can apply multiple grow techniques with in your garden. I feel thats really key in learning this plant we all love. Growing in one medium is awesome but learning multiple is even better in my book.

Watering and malted barley top dress today. Girls are looking great, did a little defol for better air circulation. Took KK2 out so I could get in the back of the tent better. I know for sure I won't do four plants in this 2x2 again. Its fun and I love having 4 plants to care for its just that it's becoming really hard to care for the 2 in the back.

35 days since flip.

First up BK98

Things are moving along quickly now. Noticed what I suspect to be a slight phosphorus deficiency so everyone got about a 1/4 c top dressing of fish bone meal, watered in with a craft blend tea. Also KK1 got some slight burn from getting too close to the lights. I put some wire around her and pulled her away best I could.

So First up

Sunday Funday! Rolled me up a nice joint of StressKiller and rubbed it through some of the lower buds on KK2. The terps on her are fantastic! Anyone else like to rub their joint on fresh plants? Can't remember where I saw it first but it's always a treat when you've got something nice flowering.
Well felt a little creative after that joint so here's some tric porn for ya'll

love the fotos at this stage of growth, so good I couldn't pick a favorite. Up close very nice.
Thanks Keltic! I couldn't agree more, seems like each time I open the tent they've changed! The scent coming off them is very intoxicating. I need it as a cologne.

I love your mutant flower there. I bet you could really get some contest worthy photos because she's eye-catching. Your ladies are so healthy, their leaves filled with trich's looks like tongue's. Just really enticing photos, great work. Glad to be catching your journal this time.

Happy to have you along G2HM! I can't wait till that mutant gets a little bigger! Really is a shame she's down low. I cut out a little light path to give her some more love, fingers crossed it works. I love taking this macro shots fun to see a stage of growth thats mostly only seen through a jewelers lope.

Just a quick update. Seems KK2 has some pretty wet feet so she's on day 4 of no watering. Really seems as if she's frozen in time, really no new growth that I can see. Not bulking up either as compared to KK1. Not noticing any deficiencies and her fans are still praying to the COBs. Only time will tell I guess. Cheese is plumping up nicely! These are my real first indicas I've grown and love the bud structure.
I know for sure after this grow I'll be tossing my cloth pots to the side. For this soil I'm gonna say plastic is better. I noticed it last grow but didn't put much thought into it. I'm pretty sure now.

Also I did some tinkering around this week and made a little rosin press. Deconstructed a flat iron and attached the plates to a little vice I had laying around. This little guy sure is fun and it's giving me decent results. Not having ever tried any types of rosin or bho what have you, this is a nice treat for sure!

Have a great weekend everyone! Hope you have an extra GREEN weekend! :yummy::ganjamon:
