Second Time Around

When you dropped your seeds, it looked like the soil was extremely too shallow. Make sure that there is room for the tap root to grow down and roots to spread out. Another thing I see is on plant 2, (look at your last pic) it looks like when you watered it washed some of the soil away and I can see the roots of the plant. Make sure to keep them covered up! Sometimes after watering the soil can become compacted and have a hard surface to it. After the moisture has dried out of the compacted surface, I like to give the soil a slight rake with my fingers to keep the soil loose. My thinking is loose soil will allow more air flow to the roots. Any questions? I'll be watching!

I was thinking I should add some more dirt I will be doing that today :thanks:

Quick update 09/05/15

I put up a dark colored table cloth over the door on my grow closet, because I noticed some light escaping out of the cracks of the door. On the down side When I did that, a few hrs later it seemed to get a little warm. I placed the fan directly above the plants to try to cool it off a little bit and lowered #1 about 1/2 inch. I am not sure on the actual temp in the closet cause I have yet to get a thermometer.

Plant number 2 has seemed to pick up growing a bit (Yea!!), and I might have to add a bit more dirt tomorrow or the next day. Wow has plant #1's second leaves have really started growing! Its crazy that I germed and planted the 2 seeds at the very same time and one is almost twice the size as the other.

Ok this is a little off this Journal but I also am starting to germ some seeds that hubby brought home last night (13) that look awesome. I do not know that strain but I have looked up how to tell diff strains from the seeds and I'm not expert but I am pretty sure the seeds are Indica as for the name hell I don't know. they are bag seeds of some really good reggie.
I figure why the heck not experiment with somethings. I had some used eggshells that I have washes thoroughly to make sure no traces of egg remained, let dry out completely, poke whole in bottom carefully for good drainage, filled with soil, watered till drained out bottom, let them sit for about 15 minutes to allow drainage, placed seeds in about 1/8 inch deep and placed in warm dark spot. With any luck they will sprout and all I have to do is gently crack eggshell and plant directly in grow medium. Wish me luck! Just in case my 2 babies are not lil girls.

You guessed right I did plant them in shallow soil(1-11/2 in)... I guess next time Ill do more..:high-five:

# 2 Looking good to me...

Both are getting bigger by the day I think..

Hey I have a couple friendly suggestions, from experience with CFL growing. First, you should probably do all 6500k spectrum CFL bulbs. I vegged mine with 2700k bulbs (before I got my 300w LED) and I feel that it didn't do as much for my plant as 6500k could. If your not sure what that means here is a link.
You should also look into some sort of reflector. Whether that be aluminum foil like Oldmeduder said, or something a little more fancy. If youre a DIY'er

Great video Blazingbuds. amazing what you can do at home with a little bit of creativity and just a few bucks.
Thanks!

I have made reflector's out of tin foil in a cone shape just didn't see them in my pictures. I am waiting for payday to get more lights and a few other things I need for the girls tomorrow is the day.

Re: Second Time Around: quick help!!!!

OMG someone please help me. I was transplanting #2 this morning on the coffee table. I left to grab something I had forgotten and my dog pulled up my baby. The roots looked pretty intact still. So I finished transplanting with some suggestions from above. After putting in soil I watered till run off and put her back under the light but lower. IDK what to do?:scratchinghead:

OK so #2 is holding on and does not look any different then before the dog incident...Thank goodness.. I put some perlite in the pots and Ill have a photo update later

Yeah my dog like to eat them tasty buds so why wouldn't he like the plant.. leaving him there was a high moment.
UPDATE: 9/9/15
Plant #2 did not make it sadly. On a good not I got all this today and set up I think a much better set up.

I am hoping this will do the job for now anyways!
Please tell me what you think..:thanks:
Oh also is (4) 75 watt 1300 lumen's Soft white and (1) 23 watt 1600 lumen's for a total of 6500 lumen's is that good?
I have also replanted # 1 in the new soil. This time without the dog knowing!:thumb: and in as dark as I could I cut the plastic pot down the sides well first I squeezed the sides gently to loosen the dirt and I say dirt cause I have real soil now and understand the difference then planted in a brand new container but not a big one cause I have a tendency to over water.(well that's what my husband says)
This is her 11 days old on a 18/6 light schedule for 3 days now. I will continue 18/06 for 3 more weeks we will see how she grows in that time with all the new gadgets I have..

Oh that's not brown on her leaves just a lil dirt from transplant.
I keep thinking of more stuff.. Should I water her after transplant the soil felt kinda moist I think cause it was raining this morning when I went so its like wet but maybe a lil more then damp?

What K rating do those bulbs have Tinker? Should be on the base of the bulbs or somewhere on the box. 2700K, 6400K, something like that.

Got perlite for that bag of dirt? Maybe some peat or coco to mix in too?

L8r

The K rating is 2700 couldn't find 6500 today... The bag of SOIL has peat moss and coco mix it says.. still got to add more huh? Cant I just water less often? I wish I could just pick someone from here for 1 hr to go to the light isles there are 3 in Walmart here cause I know what I am looking for but then I get there and look at the 100's of diff bulbs its like I forget or cant find it. None of the bulbs said 6500.

Oh and right here it says it has all that.
